Holy crap! This song is mindblowingly amazing. Tame musically translate very well the feeling of mind's evolution of letting things happen. - I mean... at 2:40 starts the musical bridge where little by little it seems like a scratch cd [i take this as the mental process of not letting things happen and don't detach of all the things that stops you from flow like the river ] - At 3:50 the music seems stuck [i take it as the mental process of try to really blocking you from the flow of the things, Something within you persist to stay and don't let you carry on with the things ] - But at 4:05 , a really deep synth seems to grow again [ This is like Your mind is exhausted, and see no more option but let the things happen] - Finally at 4:43 music seems to find rythm again [This is like Your inner voice tells you "let it happen, it's gonna feel so good", and let go all the things that stopped you to be free and flow like the river] and with this fliter effect going side by side of the earphones I really feel like the music is flowing. After deep and continuous thinking, and listening to this song dozens of times, I realized only one thing, which is that you cannot find this masterpiece or just find something similar to it .

0:34 I just love that the word “nearly” (a 2 syllable word following the melodic pattern of the previous bar “it’s always…”) is bended to 3 syllables for a perfect triplet with an arpeggio embedded within it. There really is something about that number 3…
I believe thats what tame impala intended the song to help with, find ease in these psychological/spiritual proceedings even if fear is in the way, additionally I think thats what musik and art is all about, helping to challenge the superficial life without feeling alone and helpless all the time, keep on living, it's worth it every horror that wants to hold you back will be worth it as long as you keep life alive
If you come here for panic attack again, don't forget, it's just for moment. It's gonna be over soon. You are not alone. I am dealing with panic attacks too. But we will be fine.

And here is the definition of “I do not think that I can explain how I feel right now but I am sure that there is a song that can describes that for me “
The first time I listened to it, I listened to my friend's advice. I was in complete darkness, eyes closed with headphones. I got carried away, and among all the images I had in my head, from 04:30 I saw a Japanese businessman, in a black suit, floating static in the middle of the galaxy with Saturn behind . Around him there were little baseball players hitting a ball in rhythm with the percussion, and who were circling around him. After that ? I fell asleep and woke up 15 minutes later, a little confused. I was able to listen to the music a second time and discover the ending. What an adventure. If this is your first time listening, share what images came to mind while listening.
This is why I love music. You KNOW good music and talent when you hear it. Like when I listened to Radiohead, St. Vincent or Joni Mitchell for the first time.
Can confirm. Trying LSD made me see I'm a beautiful angel and while nobody has ever told me that way, I told this to myself that night in the mirror and is enough. I said "You, angel, you are beautiful and deserve good things", and that trip felt like this song. Gut wrenching like the middle part of the song but upbeat at the end. Still, I was alcoholic for 5 more years, and when I hit rock bottom, and ask for help, it felt like this song over again. I let it happen, i surrender and started believing in a Higher Power. And I'm cool since then. 2 years clean and sober and going strong.
I could not stop listening to that song when my mother past 5 years ago. It still puts me pack to that feeling, but I can finally listen to it without crying. This song will forever have a very personal meaning to me - it's one of the best songs ever to be written!

I just finished listening to this song for the very first time and it was such an awesome experience! Like OMG, I had to get up and start dancing. All I want is to be in a room, with the lights off and the love of my life, just dancing to this. Because that's what this song makes me feel. It makes me feel in love. It makes me feel alive. It makes me wanna dance and just live, Omg. And I'm not even high lol.
Hi old generation, I will not let this kind of music die. I will make my own private radio station and put this song in it. So my kids will later here this in my car & at home. I do not wanna get judged of the age I currently, am.. but I HOPE I will have kids over exactly 9 years. Regards

It's always around me, all this noise, but
Not nearly as loud as the voice saying
"Let it happen, let it happen"
(It's gonna feel so good)
"Just let it happen, let it happen"
All this running around
Tryin' to cover my shadow
A notion growing inside
Now all the others seem shallow
All this running around
Bearing down on my shoulders
I can hear an alarm
It must be morning
I heard about a whirlwind that's coming 'round
It's gonna carry off all that isn't bound, and
When it happens, when it happens
(I won't be holding on)
So let it happen, let it happen
All this running around
I can't fight it much longer
Something's tryin' to get out
And it's never been closer
If my take-off fails
Make up some other story
But if I never come back
Tell my mother I'm sorry
I will not vanish
You will not scare me
Try to get to it
Try to bounce to
All the while thinking I might as well do it
They be loving someone and I’m not that stupid
Take the next ticket
Take the next train
Why would I do it?
And you wanna think that
Baby, now I'm ready, moving on
Oh, but maybe I was ready all along
Oh, I'm ready for the moment and the sound
Oh, but maybe I was ready all along

Still, I was alcoholic for 5 more years, and when I hit rock bottom, and ask for help, it felt like this song over again. I let it happen, i surrender and started believing in a Higher Power. And I'm cool since then. 2 years clean and sober and going strong.
I could not stop listening to that song when my mother past 5 years ago. It still puts me pack to that feeling, but I can finally listen to it without crying. This song will forever have a very personal meaning to me - it's one of the best songs ever to be written!
Why i never get bored it 5:28 🙏
Listening to this song feels like saying goodbye to your loved ones and accepting that it's your time and now you should go! : ' )
They should do a version where at 4:04, a full blown orchestra plays that part. Like how Hooverphonic played Mad About You with one.
That would be absolutely mental. People are gonna die of the joy their ears hear!
you dont know buckethead do you if you talk about emotions hear pike 64 and baptism of solitude by buckethead that is sad :v
I was thinking the same. Cello heaven
Believe this point is where the song really starts.

5:20 _"Le me ask you a question, you… never really… remember the beginning of a dream, do you? You always wind up… right in the middle of what’s going on."_
_"I guess, yeah."_
_"So how did we end up here?"_

Even after years, I listen to it as if it were the first time, I always feel enchanted and alive with this song, just let it happen 💙
all of tame impalas songs have a beat that’s so mesmerising it brings u feelings u can’t get anywhere else
smashing rhythm, eargasmic guitar sound, all-around mouth watering atmosphere. a musical masterpiece!
Hi old generation,
I will not let this kind of music die. I will make my own private radio station and put this song in it. So my kids will later here this in my car & at home. I do not wanna get judged of the age I currently, am.. but I HOPE I will have kids over exactly 9 years.
Regards
If I had my own planet, this would be the anthem
There's so much to this song. Pure masterpiece.

First time hearing this song from a RUclips short. What a unique sound 😊
The transition at 4:40 - 5:10 is so satisfying ✨
