Not 'a' powerline, but 'powerlines'... like when you're driving across the outback for hundreds of miles and all you see is the powerlines going up and down at a constant rhythm. But you're trippin' balls on acid so you can feel the universe and see the music, and it just becomes your next big awesome piece of music to share with the world... true story.

One of the best moments of my life. Life was so simple the day I first heard this song. Just 19 years old starting off with weed and music I stumble across this song in the background one night. It was electrifying my ears I wasn't sure what I was listening too. Once the high hit me, I felt the waves from this song. Nothing can ever beat that feeling for the first time yet it was indescribable. Kevin Parker, keep making the music that's in your heart. Even if you think it's not acceptable for an album, keep making the world spin.
Never thought I'd read a comment that resonated with me as much as this does. 19, weed, Tame Impala - the best way to experience music of this caliber.

I listened this song before my gf broke up with me, I remember the experience of just having this on full blast on the bus otw to the park before we met to "talk", it made me feel like things would be okay at the same time, they wouldn't and things will be horrible, I didn't exactly know we were going to break up, we had a huge argument and she said we needed to talk, I just remember so vividly how nervous I was and this song had me prepared, it was this weird feeling, it doesn't help I was playing the whole EP and it was coming off of List of People (To Try and Forget About), and I just couldn't find the courage within myself to let her go, she was my first and only girlfriend and the only person who seemed to genuinely care about me, now things just seem to be a mess yet I find peace knowing she is doing better, still this song actually slaps despite the bad memories with it, I'll forever love Tame Impala's music it always seems to connect with me even if a single word is not sung

I felt this a lot. Except i didn't get the "let's talk", it was mid conversation one day and I felt it was coming to an end but I didn't take it well. This song brings all the good memories with her to mind like a movie. I'm still reeling over her and it's been 2 years.

It may not be that Kevin didn't think the song was good enough for the album. Maybe he felt it didn't fit with the rest of the songs. Either way these b-sides are pure gold and I wish my best songs could be half as good as Kevin's "throwaways".

I think this song would've fit very well on the album to break up some of the pop-monotony that it has towards the end.
I would've replaced either Yes I'm Changing or Disciples with this song, and also placed it near the end of the album to give it a bit more of an interesting climax.

Somehow this song manages to trigger really deep feelings inside of me. So deep I could almost cry. It is a mix of nostalgia and self-pity. But at the same time it's the pride of my familiy and the things I achieved and the enthusiasm that everything is going to be fine in the end. Thank you for this experience Mr Parker!

This was a life-changing experience for me.
I love songs like these. no words means I can make it whatever I want in my head and this is a happy song for me. In my head, I imagine listening to this as I look out of my car window while the person I love is driving down a beautiful street and I am content and calm. life is finally a little better, a little easier and happier.

I'm in my thirties too mate. I hate almost everything in the charts (bieber and ed Sheeran should be burned alive!!) but a few years ago I heard a tame impala track and loved it. Theirs still true artists out there but we have to search for them, the main stream media wont. This song is beautiful and despite being new is some how nostalgic to me.
