For the price of these 20 cards, you could buy 90 Mickey Mantle cards (just about all of the cards from 51-69) in attractive used condition. I've got 70+ and spent less than the cost of #3 on your list, another $17k (about the cost of #1 on your list) would get me both rookies and the few rare ones left. Mike Trout is a big star now, some of the earlier cards on the list in the low hundreds may be worth it.

Trout is the vey rare example where his "RC Logo" came out a year before he won ROY. Therefore, you'll notice there's been a spike in some of his 2012 as anything prior has gotten much more expensive. And that's my suggestion for another video, top 20 2012 Trout cards.

Yeah, they’re definitely high right now. Only going to get higher though. Trout isn’t for everyone but for those who do want a Trout RC, these are the “affordable” options right now. I can’t see his cards cooking off anytime soon. I’ll do a video in a year and compare the prices then to now. I may be wrong 👍

In my opinion the first card of a player in a major league uniform is his “rookie” card whether it says “prospect” or “rc”.
I like to think of it that way as well. Even though they haven't played in the MLB yet.

First issue cards are always considered rookies. Like jeter has rookies from like 91 to 96! But earliest years are worth more.
