Not gonna lie, I actually teared up when I heard “Rise Now Our Hero”. It and “Majestica” are so powerfully awesome! So perfect for the moment when just as all hope seems lost and the innocent people of a fantasy world accept their fate of being crushed under the forces of a tyrant, the protagonists return and in no time decimate the forces of evil! We had been together since the age of six, born in the same year the same month, 11 days apart. We got married and in nine years had three great children. She died in my arms at the age of 31. I'm now 68 and miss her as hard now, as the day she died. Never remarried didnt see the point, anyway I had three kids you bring up. But just for a moment I would love to breath in her smell or hear one whisper of her voice ,but that only happens in movie's.
I think of her as some character, who only existed in some story. I was never suppose to meet her, but only God knows, why I crossed paths with her, she literally changed my whole life. I'm just random author who decided to write to live a story, where she would be with me.

I used to compete against Derek Zhao on a midi competition site called pixelart. There were many great composers to look up to. When we were scoring each other's work, it was always under complete anonymity. Derek Zhao was leagues above everyone, for several years. Month after month, we all knew which song was his before the results came in. We also knew he would be in the top three, every month. I can say, honestly, it was a privilege to be a part of that. To actually be able to talk to him and encourage him, as well as pick his brain. I will always have a special place in my heart for him, because I always saw him as Houston's future Nobuo Uematsu. I just wish we got to meet and shake hands. He had a profound effect on how I approach music, how I hear music, and how much I love it. Love ya, brother.

I used to compete against Derek Zhao on a midi competition site called pixelart. There were many great composers to look up to.
When we were scoring each other's work, it was always under complete anonymity. Derek Zhao was leagues above everyone, for several years. Month after month, we all knew which song was his before the results came in. We also knew he would be in the top three, every month. I can say, honestly, it was a privilege to be a part of that. To actually be able to talk to him and encourage him, as well as pick his brain. I will always have a special place in my heart for him, because I always saw him as Houston's future Nobuo Uematsu. I just wish we got to meet and shake hands. He had a profound effect on how I approach music, how I hear music, and how much I love it.
