"Gloria" - TMEA 2009 Texas All-State Mixed Choir Rehearsal

An early run-through of this piece with the bluegrass band. This is Gloria from The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass by Carol Barnett. It was great to watch the awesome Dr. Sandra Snow work with the choir to bring out the vitality and fun of this piece.

three people from my high school choir are in this choir!
the first and second chair alto 2s and i think the other is third chair alto 1

Love Bluegrass, and love choirs. Both sound great, but not together. At any rate, the vocals completely swamp the instruments so it sounds bitty

Congratulations, choir, great sound and flawless tuning, an exciting performance! Compared this choir to a much more experienced Salt Lake Artist choral group - ho hum there, sorry... together, harmonic and on pitch, but a lack of passion. Go kids! Girl in turqoise, glasses, 2nd from end - do you sing with MCCS Conroe?
