Nice! Thanks a lot Barry.
Thank you Serg.
Ah Barry.. I sit here and watch this and find myself wishing for those old endless summers of youth again.. The days of boundless energy and curiosity. When the whole of the world lay before me.. It was gone to soon my friend.. Oh they warned me.. enjoy these days boy.. they will be gone soon enough.. but I never listened.. I guess I am feeling a bit melancholy today.. time to find a project.. carry on my brother.. I appreciate all that you do..
Hi Tink, Yes I know all too well my friend, enjoy while we can...

Trout catching machine
Oh yes!
Nice Fly, the pattern is very similar to the "Spent Caddis" from Mr. AK Best
Thanks Lutz, Ok I know of AK Best but not that pattern. This is an old, not sure if it's Irish but more probably Welsh originally.
Great work, Barry as always.
I like the use of hackle stems for antenna. They might actually hold up?
Thanks Dave, yes and a very important part off this pattern as they are particularly more visible on the natural than most other caddis.
The excellent neat professional presentation was as expected but if you don't have those particular mallard feathers with the tips what could you use.
Hi Stuart thanks, you could also use hen mallard breast. Thats as close as I could get, not sure what else you could use i'm afraid.
@@Thefeatherbender Thank you for the advice ,I dont think I have any of those either ?? no problem will get hold of some as it certainly looks worth the effort and cost
Nice tie Bender, thanks. My next question is who in the world would give this a thumbs down? What the hell is wrong with you? Lol.
I was just thinking the same thing when I read your comment! People are strange.
Ps.....would love to win your signed book n some flies......hint , hint.😉 - Paul
I watched this lesson first thing this morning and I have a question not on the fly. The scissors you are using are they the Koptor from 54 dean st? If they are I have been thinking about ordering. Do you recommend them?
Hi Jimmy, Yes they are, and they are very good I have three different ones and they are all serrated which I am a big fan of, especially if you are working with deer hair.
You should have a look at what else they have, I also have some excellent CDC from them.
