Best information I've ever heard
Glad you found it helpful!
You are a Super Hero!
I keep a cape on the hook behind my office door.
I knew it. Thank you again you your helpful advice. 😊
Hey Mike, you're videos have given me clarity when it comes to credit repair. Do you know of any good consumer lawyers in the state of Maine? If so could you please respond with one. Thank you.
Tom Cox lives in Maine and he’s one of the best lawyers on the planet. He mostly handles only foreclosure cases but probably knows who could help you with other kinds of consumer cases.
It's true you only have rights if you use them

Hello, do you have the credit bureaus updated fax numbers?
No, and we never fax anything to the bureaus because sending a fax to them is about as useful as lighting that same piece of paper on fire.
Instead, send it certified mail, return receipt requested.
If they ASKED you to fax something, and they're expecting it, just use whatever number they give you.
Do you serve clients in NC or know of any lawyers in NC who help with suing CRA's?
Right now we don't have a referral for NC. I wish we did.
Does anyone know the statue of limitations for credit cards
For credit reports, almost all negative information (including credit cards) have a seven-year period after which they must be removed.
The "statute of limitations" is different-that's the deadline for them to sue you on the debt. Every state is going to have a different deadline. In Florida, it's either four or five years depending on the facts of your case.
HI Michael, thanks for the great videos. I have written letters to both Midland and the reporting agencies, which haven't been responded to yet (its been more than 30 and 60 days for both of my letters). The small claims courts in Seattle are still closed due to Covid and are likely backlogged for a very long time. What are the alternatives to suing in small claims court that I can do without having to hire an attorney to get them to remove the negative reports on my credit reports? Should I focus on the credit reporting agencies and show them the letters and the certified mail receipts, asking them to remove the reports? Or focus on suing Midland another way to force them to withdraw the negative reports? Complain to the AG?
We can't give legal advice in Washington State, but we were filing cases here in small claims court even when the courts were "closed."
Filing suit is really your only recourse once letter-writing is exhausted.
Great content on CRA's. Now I understand why the bureaus play the duck and dodge game with consumer disputes. It is frustrating when they do not comply with the law. I have yet to sue a credit bureau.
It's frustrating at first but when the lawsuit starts working, it gets a lot more rewarding.
Here is my problem. In order to sue somebody , you need a lawyer. What happens when you cannot afford a lawyer. 100 to 200.00 an hour.
I am on a fixed income and disabled, age 65. How do you get a lawyers to protect your rights when you cannot afford to pay for there services.
I've got great news for you.
The lawyer is free: ruclips.net/user/postUgkxACHB4abWDwc4bBhIeYUE7QKWaZ98AXSO
The only part is people don't have money to hire a lawyer to sue
If you have a good case, you don’t need money because your lawyer gets paid by the other side when you win.
Hello I'm trying to call the three credit bureaus to remove disputes from collections but the remarks and comments keep reappearing a few days later, how can I resolve this?
I'm trying to buy a home and I can't get a mortgage loan with disputes on my credit.
Every second you spend on the phone is wasted. Write them a letter.
We got a time share and don't want it. They put in my credit report as a mortgage. Can they do that and How can I get that off our credit report
You can send a dispute letter to the credit bureau, (not the original creditor or the debt collector) for any account on your credit report that is inaccurate, obsolete, or incomplete. They have a duty to make a "reasonable investigation" and correct inaccurate information, and to remove information that is obsolete or cannot be verified. If they fail to make this investigation, or fail to correct or remove information that's not accurate, complete, and timely, you can sue them for any damages suffered because of that failure.
If the report is accurate, timely, and complete, you're probably stuck with it.
Don't buy time shares.
I have 2 creditors that are reporting the wrong account number. What can I do about it?
You can ask for deletion of accounts that don't belong to you, and correction of information that's incorrect.
If I have a late payment from 2017 but I found inaccuracies some were else in the report can I have those late payment removed . Diff open dates , different balance , diff credit limit, diff last reported and last active?
Dispute the inaccurate parts and the whole thing might come off.
@@RWlawFL will do that, I sent validation letter to the collection agency so now I'll send inaccurate letter to the 3 Bureaus thank man
OMG I KEEP DISPUTING STUFF NOTHING GOES OFF HELP
If you' have inaccurate, obsolete, or incomplete information that you've disputed and it's not coming off, your next step is a lawsuit against the bureaus that are breaking the law.
How can I sue
1. Have a valid claim to sue for
2. Get a law firm who knows how to sue
3. If you're in Florida, go here: ricardolaw.com/contact/
If I dispute 2 credit card accts, Will that temporarily be removed from score factor? They both have+90% utilization but my overall utilization is 14% and I'm being denied for this reason only. When I disputed a few great accts just to get updated balance, it dropped my score 50-70 pts and Equifax says it removes it from score factor while in open dispute
> Will that temporarily be removed from score factor?
Remember that there's no such thing as just one "credit score" - there are at least nine, maybe ten different formulas for FICO, not to mention Vantage, which has three. Each formula calculates things differently and each lender uses a different version of FICO or Vantage depending on their preference.
Even if you have a valid dispute, I don't think that removes them from the score, but I could be wrong. Your experience suggests that might happen.
@@RWlawFL figured I'd ask before I test it out. Seems like Equifax wasn't making it up... And you can't have open disputes when you try to get a mortgage, something about it alters your score while in dispute. I'm still skeptical about it but I guess I'll try. Hopefully it doesn't nosedive my score again.
Your mortgage broker should be able to give you some guidance about this.
