I don't mean any harm when I say it's annoying. I really meant that it annoys me how people instantly get good at something and I'm still struggling. Sorry about that, there's the clarification.
As a animator who’s been in animation for 4 years now i personally still struggle a little with how I animate especially because how I compare myself to others majority of the time. However I’m still learning how to overcome envy and procrastination. I don’t really know how to help people cope in these situations, however I think you should try learning not from others, but from yourself, if finding help isn’t working then your should try being self taught. Again I’m not the greatest at giving advice for stuff like this but yeah. Though the fantastic phantasm meme you uploaded blew my mind because even though you struggle animation that video blew my mind because I’ve never seen a good beginner animation ever! Basically what I’m saying is, don’t give up your dreams because life seems to be unfair especially in these circumstances, instead take these as opportunities to grow and progressively achieve your dreams. (If you want some tips on animation you can ask me and I’ll try my best to provide you some tips)
unfortunately the not making them cringe one is soley up to one's own personal views on the art however for stuff like the bg try having them be less detailed and possibly less saturated then compared to the characters so they stick out as for making them less hard to watch I don't really know as taking a look at some of the animations and animatics that you've posted, they're all pretty good.
i hope you can get well. tbh i struggle so hard trying to find the right songs, time and motivation to even animate, even if i have been doing so for 2+ years, and the animation meme community became more sexualised, i cant even properly tween... and remember, you are a great at tweening!! :D
heii I am not an animator but I do create PMVs (picture music videos) so i know all the composission and video look theory (but no accually animation rules, i mostly studied movie making and composission), so if you'd ever need any help, feel free to hit me up
0:45 maybe you should make the backgrounds not that detailed but not to basic, and your animations or not cringe, and maybe you should try to change the style a bit or maybe don't make them to long but not to short
