So I know you posted this video some time ago and it appears you haven’t had a ton of feedback, let me tell you how grateful I am for the knowledge and the video. I wasn’t getting a code 12 the wife told me she saw a code 13 once for a few minutes but it went away. We were starting to get super intermittent hot water from our unit that is nearly identical to the one in this video, I was sweating bullets thinking about how much it was going to cost to get it fixed. So I watched your video and thought I might be able to do that, took me 6 hours and a few trips to the hardware store but so far everything seems to be working great. I had WAY more carbon build up than you did and I ended up cutting a toothbrush in half so it would fit in that tight space to clean the fins. I got it all put back together and fingers crossed it continues to work properly. Thank you again for everything and even though we will probably never meet I really feel like I owe you one.

Thanks so much! Very easy to follow. FYI, I had code 72 and it worked for that (flame rod issue).
