@@franzeck8003 are you asking if Rotting Christ are black metal? Yeah, absolutely, Passage To Arcturo, Thy Mighty Contract, Non Serviam, and Triarchy of the Lost Lovers are black metal classics. Though it does depend on the period, the stuff between Triarchy and Sanctus Diavolos is just "gothic metal" with Sakis' raspy vocals and obviously not black metal (though I will admit, I love some of those gothic albums, they're super chill). After the gothic period they moved back to melodic black metal with a bunch of other stylistic elements.

10. Enslaved - not a bad album in their discography 9. Burzum - The band that got me into Black metal. 8. Nokturnal Mortum - I love their Epic folky stuff 7. Emperor - The first black metal i ever heard (which i didnt understand the appeal at the time) 6. Drudkh - another awesome folk black metal band 5. Immortal - probably get some hate for this but i prefer the post Demonaz stuff, new album is awesome though. 4. Bathory - The godfather of BM(along with Venom) 3. Dissection - Masterful band, wish they could have made more albums before Jon blew his brains out. 2. Inquistion - the most 10/10 albums out of anyone on this list 1. Mgla - The band that made me fall into the black hole of BM, Burzum started it for me but Mgla made it my favourite genre of music by far.

Mare Cognitum is definitely one of my recent favorite listens. Loved Wanderers and Phobos Monolith (got shirts for both), and the new track "Antaresian" from the upcoming album Solar Paroxysm has been in constant rotation for me since he dropped it about a week ago.

Immortal is definitely top tier for me. I would also throw in Panopticon, and possibly Dark Fortress. Foretoken only has one album, but if future records are as good as the debut, they'll be a contender for sure.
Moonsorrow and Havukrunnu definitely rank up there for me (probably my 2 favorite black metal bands if I'm being honest). I've been listening to a bunch of Mare Cognitum lately and I agree, the dude is awesome. Also a big fan of Vehemence. They only have 2 albums, but their 2019 album (Par le sang versé) is one of my favorite BM albums ever.

I suggest you listen to the Pentagram/Mezarkabul, Turkish dark rock band. I think they are the first Band in that kind. Not really sure. They have started to realese their albums in late 90s, combined local ensturmants dark rock songs was really cool. You can check Anatolia, Bu Alemi Gören Sensin, Bir, Şeytan Bunun Neresinde songs are my favorites🙃

I suggest you listen to the Pentagram/Mezarkabul, Turkish dark rock band. I think they are the first Band in that kind. Not really sure. They have started to realese their albums in late 90s, combined local ensturmants dark rock songs was really cool. You can check Anatolia, Bu Alemi Gören Sensin, Bir, Şeytan Bunun Neresinde songs are my favorites🙃
It's not really black metal but I love them. Favorite song from them is Stand to Fall.

If they are actually nazis and stuff like they mean it I won’t listen to it and it can hop in the bin. But that is rarely or never the case. Like in angel of death when people say it’s racist It’s not they are pretty much giving a history lesson.
