I'll be the first to admit I'm a hater and usually don't like the new kid on the block especially when it comes to one of my favorite bands i grew up listening to and seen many times. BUT THIS GUY SOUNDS GOOD AND THE BAND HAS MORE ENERGY THAN THE LAST FEW TIMES I SAW THEN! THE NEW CD IS AWESOME ! SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE FOLLOW UP TO PROMISE LAND.
Tate is and forever will be the man! Even tho he lost octaves in such a short time he always kept good character to his voice. I'm giving Todd a chance. It's hard i admit but i hope the best for the band whom all are such underrated players at what they do.
QR aint dead...Every artist has the Chance To Comeback...they are touring their asses of...reviving the old trademarks...if the next output is good they might rebuild a wider fanbase again....
I thought Todd nailed the Crimson Glory Midnight vocals, but I don't think he is even close on the Tate stuff. The rest of the band sounds great though.
I not saying it's not good. But it doesn't sound right some how.. The whole Queensryche split thing sux.! All because Tate wouldn't behave. Now in stead of a really great band we are stuck with 2 bands that are just ok at best.
Damn . Todd sounds so good, no reverb or delay, completely dry board miz without effects and still sounds fantastic, I know for the common ear, this may not seem like a big deal but to a seasoned, musician and/or sound engineer, they know what a feat this is. This is Queensryche.
Everyone sings with at least a little bit of reverb. That don't take anything away with how amazing Todd sounds here. Sorry Geoff, Todd is the NEW voice of Queensryche.
Absolutely loving this series of videos - almost like new studio versions. Sounds great guys! Can't wait for the opportunity to see you live! Come to Syracuse! And keep posting more!
kicking geoff tate out was the best thing they did since releasing releasing empire and rage for order. now we have the self titled album and condition human :)
todd does a hard but good job reproducing tates awesome former vocals...the band plays so tight like in the old days but could improve their stage acting a bit....c`m on guys ..
Just watched a video of "Walk in the Shadows" from 1991... and this one actually sounds better! The band has always been incredibly tight, but now the vocals are up to par! Tate is obviously a phenomenal singer, but La Torre is doing these songs more than justice!
I find this weird and funny at the same time. In the past, Wilton always stood stage right, and DeGarmo stage left. Then Gray and Stone replaced DeGarmo, played stage left, like Chris. Then Lundgren came in and plays stage right, Wilton plays stage left. As if Lundgren was actually replacing Wilton, and Wilton is replacing DeGarmo! On the other hand, you cannot really "replace" Chris, you can only succeed him. Same for Geoff. But man, Parker and Todd are absolutely brilliant, pretty much on par with the rest of the bandmembers. Very solid lineup. The Rÿche is alive!
~....>...on any given nite, amidst a heavy tour. Not a well-rested, multi-day off, scheduled, director's cut/remastered gig. Although I haven't researched, he prob tries 2 avoid bak=2-bak gigs. If he doesn't, he should!! ...& I've ben a fan since The EP. Got baseball jersey shirt on the Warning Tour. And can still pick & win an argument wth my big brother, that Queensryche blew KISS off the stage!!!....an obvious fact that his drummer{an old school Kiss fan-as we all r} instantly agreed with me, following the show.
Still missing DeGarmo... but this sounds much better than the other live clips I've seen of "Torre-Ryche" attempting 'Walk In The Shadows'. With due respect to Mike Wilton, Parker Lundgren does a lot better take on DeGarmo's lead parts than Wilton does and it shows well in this performance. As with the previous ones-- La Torre's voice is not as good as Tate's voice was when Rage For Order was new, but he's a lot better singer than Tate is now. IMO, still ain't Queensryche without DeGarmo, but this at least is a tolerable impersonation of the real thing. (try not to take too much offense to the "Torre-Ryche" label above-- I'm not going to call them Queensryche, but from the point Chris DeGarmo quit up until Tate was fired, it was "Tate-Ryche"-- I'm not calling that lineup Queensryche either).
I think it sounds Awesome...I like how Todd gets into the song and sings the whole song with walking round the stage and talking though the song. He has a power voice! Can't wait until they get in my area and see them.

He sounds just like Tate in his prime...well done.
i miss Geoff, but his musical vision was pissing me off. good to see Todd step up and do the old stuff proud.
Please come back to the Boederij Zoetermeer....Netherlants!!!!
I thought Todd nailed the Crimson Glory Midnight vocals, but I don't think he is even close on the Tate stuff. The rest of the band sounds great though.
Cool!! Very good

Sound board recordings are amazing! (^_^)

I still hear delay and reverb, not a totally dry signal sorry. Listen @ 0:44
good catch, didnt hear it my first listen

Actually, there is a verb send on the lead vocal channel. The venue must be pretty wet for the amount to be so minimal though.

kicking geoff tate out was the best thing they did since releasing releasing empire and rage for order. now we have the self titled album and condition human :)
Todd is an outstanding singer ,Bye Geoff have a good life!
Todd is a good replacement. He is recreating Geoff's voice/sound.
todd does a hard but good job reproducing tates awesome former vocals...the band plays so tight like in the old days but could improve their stage acting a bit....c`m on guys ..
Incredible! This is how the RYCHE is supposed to sound!
Been following me for years ! Finally caught me living with demon's❤
Just watched a video of "Walk in the Shadows" from 1991... and this one actually sounds better! The band has always been incredibly tight, but now the vocals are up to par! Tate is obviously a phenomenal singer, but La Torre is doing these songs more than justice!

I like Tate but in my opinion after seeing this band last night I enjoy them much better. He is a very good front man and hypes the crowd very well
More live performances, please!
For taking is off the board too bad this guy is by far inferior to Geoff Tate
You clearly haven't heard Tate in years. He can't even sing his own tunes.
I think it sounds Awesome...I like how Todd gets into the song and sings the whole song with walking round the stage and talking though the song. He has a power voice! Can't wait until they get in my area and see them.
FRIKIN AWESOME!!!!!
Can't wait to see them live now,, Holy SHIT this guy kicks ASS!!
sounds just like tate in his prime
Yes true if you are high .
Altered States You're a moron.
Best vocals in ages,it's the stage presence that bothers me.
Tate sucks and so do you!
HAHAHA TODD and TATE KILL QR Yeah sure douchebag, whatever helps you sleep at night. Bottom line Todd is metal and Tate is a clown.
