Sorry for the late reply. Those were bought at a hardware store. They are normally used to cover fluorescent lights. I painted them the desired blue, and the lights shine through because the cover I chose is one with a random surface. I imagine a flat one painted would not work as well.
Dakota Roseberry if I had to do it over again, I'd go with a higher quality foam (hard surface, ~$3). At the time, I believe I used mostly dollar tree boards.
