You need a Stagea next, a Mitsubishi RVR and a Mugen Inspired Odyssey if you're lucky. Love the videos mate, keep them coming with your respective time and upload times!
I learnt to drive in a 2018 7.5 R hatch that my father bought new and tuned to 400hp. It's an incredible sports machine but I wouldn't choose to daily one. The back hurts on longer drives due to the stiff suspension and the fabric seats are just hard. Might be different if you have leather. I wasn't a huge fan of it when driving normally so I went out and bought an air suspension Audi A6 so I could drive gently and in absolute comfort.
@@vannie27 haha nah mate not rich, just absolutely obsessed with cars lol. Spent 3 years saving up for my car that was 15 years old when I bought it. Had it for two years now and will be keeping it for another 2 or 3. In a reasonable position, yes, but certainly not rich 😂
These really wake up when you tune them. Not a _VAG_ man, but I make exceptions for nice Golfs. I actually prefer the tourer/wagon over the typical cliché hatch. Top review as always.
Yeah I imagine - it's certainly quick, I just think it's too tame and bland for me... the ISF and M135i I borrowed from this dealer were much more exciting
@@KiwiCarLife I agree, 135i & 140i are the best in their class, but as you stated in the video this is the better all-rounder. The ISF & BMW would struggle in the winter whereas the AWD Golf and Quattro Audi's come in handy. Speaking of bland, I find that _most_ modern German cars generally lack soul. Guess that's why we love Honda 🙃
@@baker6928 Yeah certainly BMW's modern range of cars doesn't really appeal. Then again, in NZ Honda doesn't have any particularly desirable "affordable" cars either... Hence why most enthusiasts stick to the pre 2008 era
I could never see myself buying a VAG car. We have a few polos and golfs at work in the carpool, the engines at 60k sound like all the bearings want to escape the engine. Paired with a direct-injection only system that will require costly maintenance every so often to remove the carbon, DSG farts which i dont like, dull plasticy interior and piped in engine noise through the speakers... Id feel like an utter consumer driving it. Like the car is so tuned to dads that its almost mockingly cynical. It looks really dope though, but id rather have a CW2..
Yeah agreed, vw's have never really appealed to me, but I can see why people buy them. The only reason I'd get a euro car is to get rwd in the case of bmw, but if you're just getting a fwd econobox, might as well go japanese

If I can find some people with them I'll see if they wanna film a review!

Yeah agreed, you don't buy a golf r for comfort haha, that said, it's not the worst out there
You learnt in a 400hp VW and then bougth an AUDI.....bruh...you rich.
@@vannie27 haha living the good life. I learnt to drive in an 08 Jazz
Mine was a Honda Integra 1st generation liftback 1.6 MT. Got my learners, restricted and Full in that beast.

@@KiwiCarLife I quite fancy the new 1.5 turbo Civic here in the UK. They can be tuned to 220bhp easily, like a baby type R 😎
@@baker6928 Yeah, we only get them with a CVT... that's the trouble. If the Civic RS 1.5T came with a manual I'd totally buy one
Nice review bro. Love the Golf R Wagon. In my country kinda pricey and wagon is not a common car.
Yeah true man, not many here either. Cool tho!
@@KiwiCarLifecan you review Subaru Levorg

Wmi can kinda solve the carbon build up issues on the intake valves with direct injection cars
Hey mate what would you consider a good price for a mk7 R hatchback with 70000kms today?
Hmm, I don't really keep track of prices of them tbh but I'd hope you could get one for around 20k?
Might not be fun for a hot hatch but at least it's a fast family car
Yeah absolutely
Test Vw Golf 5 gt tdi 170 ps and Honda civic 8 2.2 cdti 140ps?We need to see more turbo diesel compared.
Would be keen, however neither of those cars are available in nz. Diesels are very uncommon here
Light diesels are taxed @80$ per 1000km traveled, and diesel is nearly petrol price, the current regime is trying to force diesels off the road...
not available in AMERICA
Really?
