      I'm glad you mentioned that, as I've already edited a few things to my world after initial start.

      I missed this! You are right if you go to the load screen you can edit the settings! I was always trying to do it in game. (I normally just hit continue so did not see this).
      Thanks for correcting me! I have pinned this comment so hopefully everyone sees it!

    Thanks, as a solo player i never bothered to look at the server settings and left them as default. I'll try out the recommendations right now!

    Toggle for teleporting all items is all you need to have a great experience in single player.
    Refinement and crafting rates at 1.0 are good enough for single player as well. Pop resources in and go fishing or farming. By design the game gives you a lot of resources that you can't immediately use. It's to encourage people to raid you and actually have something in your coffers.

    • @Ianistoocommon
      @Ianistoocommon  Месяц назад

      It's true! If you deposit the resorces then go do something else it works out well.
      The only time I find takes a while to gather/refine is the mid game, before you have a bunch of servants. The early game stuff you get tons of and once your have a few servants you barely need to gather anything yourself!

      I set my refinement speed to 3.0, but I believe that just ended with me making way too big of a castle too soon, with empty rooms where I planned to put different stations I wouldn't unlock because I kept sitting in front of the grinders thinking "just one more". I might go the other way around and try setting it to 0.75 because I really feel like it's a bad habiy that will kill my enjoyment for the game.

    This is great info. Already figured all this stuff out on my own, but man it would have saved me a lot of trial-and-error time if I had your video back when I started! I hope more people get ahold of this video or the info in general, because I absolutely love V Rising in solo or co-op. The amount of customization you have for quality-of-life and combat difficulty is just excellent. I think more people would be playing if they knew they could make the game less "hardcore".
    I am a very casual player and enjoy castle building, crafting, and exploring more than most, so I tend to set the combat difficulty related sliders to reflect that. Mainly I just pick the default "easy" setting and then set the player's health to x2 or x3 (in addition to the other settings you mentioned). You can also increase the speed at which you gather resources, which makes grinding up materials for your castle feel way better.

      Thanks for the comment! Yes, they did give you so much flexibility with this game which is really nice. I also really like the building and exploring aspects of this game! It is why I usually keep the waypoints set that you cannot take everything through them. It forces me to actually walk back to base.

    Having an absolute blast with this game, the only settings I altered was the teleport but I may go back in and edit the craft time, as you mentioned time pauses when logged out. Those stone bricks are a pain to grind for when I want to build my snazzy castle.

    Great handy video for those just starting V Rising. It may seem daunting at first - the progression etc but this video helps immensely. Clear narration and to the point. 10/10

    2:37 you don't need to pay for a dedicated server. The Vrising dedicated server is added to your steam library as a tool when you purchase the game, and you can run it on your computer quite easily. You'll need to do some small settings to open it to your friends though, but this is totally free

    is the camera auto rotate behind the character fixed on PS5 ? It was very frustrating on PC to rotate the camera with Y

    • @dragonsoldier1829
      @dragonsoldier1829 Месяц назад +1

      Taping Y instead of holding it will place the camera right behind your character in the direction they are facing.

    I've been playing with the controller from the start and I'm struggling a bit, I guess I'll have to give mouse and keyboard a try

      Maybe it is a setting I have missed? The time, buff/debuff countdowns and crafting / refinement all stop when I am not playing. The only thing that keeps going for me is the servant hunts.

    Nice to hear it’s for single player too (but best by paying severs costs each month? ehm no thank you regarding that) I really like the style and skills and it reminds me of a Netflix series too which I really like. But I personally don’t like farming and crafting in a game. I’ll think about it but thanks for the good review! (the micro is totally fine just your talking style (like some mantra for yoga or something) and how you go up with the voice and the end of a sentence is weird and annoyed me)

    • @Ianistoocommon
      @Ianistoocommon  Месяц назад

      Fair enough, I had played on a dedicated server with some friends during early access. So I saw some benifits to it. But with a few setting changes you can fix that.
      You do have to build some stuff just to progress but if you change the build and crafting costs to 0 you can make that a very small part of the game and focus on just the combat, which I think is a bunch of fun. Or you can also just give yourself the starting equipment for the level you want.
      My wife laughed when I showed her what you said about my talking style, it's true! Hopefully I am getting better as I do more videos, but it is something I need to work on haha!
      What netflix show?
