      It's true, an asymmetrical game can never be balanced. What does feel balanced though is that they're taking a look at perks and killers that were unviable or overtuned and are starting to do something about it. There's more that they could do, but they're very cautious about their decisions and it is what it is.

    my only issue with this patch is Lora crofts disabling scream mechanics permanently, I feel it dumbs down counterplay and instead just gives it to you with little to no effort. Distortion at least starts you with tokens and u have to spend time near the killer or being chased to get them back so in that regard its balanced. I feel like shutting off 1 killer and up to 6 decent often used perks while having a very often aura read on on that killer is a bad thing for the game in general and bad design philosophy

      If that perk is truly enabled permanently, there is no doubt in my mind it is too strong. Screaming as a game mechanic has become something a lot of killers rely on, especially Doc since he was the killer that added it to the game. Maybe they can look to make it so it has tokens instead, where when you complete the requirements you get 3/4/5 tokens, and each token is active for 5 seconds to block double scream effects.

      It might run rampant for a while, but BHVR has been getting better balancing perks sooner than later. Just not as quick as we might hope haha

      @@PogesqueGaming "Balancing" for one side... It took them over 6+ years to change core perks for survivors that we still see in high MMR today despite the nerfs. However, it takes them 2-3 weeks to change anything strong on the killer side. They have made terrible maps as of late, increased the effectiveness of looping for survivors forcing a core of the killer roster to have to work that much harder for a down. When a chase would take 30-40 seconds now takes over a minute and a half to down, check the area, pick up and walk to a hook. This 2 minutes to chase, down and hook a survivor results in 2-4 gens popping then killers have to snowball for a win. Games as killers do not feel rewarding anymore even if you win, almost like getting off your 9-5 job and you sit in the car in front of your house wondering why.... Survivor fun has come at the cost of killer enjoyment and there is no way to really fix it while keeping the core mechanics. If they want to make the game more about chases, then remove the gens and just add a time limit so the killer can chase and hook, nothing is more frustrating then micro managing a losing battle.

      I totally understand what you mean. You push up to a point in high MMR where the games are just unwinnable as killer. Gens do go very quick, and that's because the horror element of the game is gone at high skill. No one is hiding around or wasting time if they want to win. The only way to fix what you describe is to remove MMR. Truth be told it has no reason to exist beyond protecting new players from being stomped. Variety and faster queues would return if the games weren't ranked.

    um...how is a bot a handicap? they are better than most survivors. I wish I was joking but I'm not. they loop better than 99% of the survivors I've come across and are way better at sneaking around.
    Why would an offering that forces themselves to be slugged be a meta offering? That is just a bit silly. I run knockout just for those people who want to run into deadzones and corners to go down. you're not getting picked up so I hope you have a book to read.

      Bots are quite predicable in behavior, and can be easily downed once a killer understands how they work. For example, if you are at a Z wall with a window, they will vault the window once you cross a certain distance threshold. They continue to do this even after being injured. Starting the game with a bot will give the killer an advantage with perks like Pop, Pain Res, and Grim Embrace once they find that bot. I can see how bots are better than players in some ways, but even a bad player isn't as transparent as this. As for the offering idea, it was just something that survivors might run if they felt 60 seconds is too short for hook respawn. Similar to how they can run an offering to increase hook distance.

      @@PogesqueGaming Bot are predictable but that's not really a handicap. They are going to run for fucking ever. Literally forever and are completely immune to mindgames and fake outs. With most killers it is going to take longer to down a bot than the average player.
      I know it really doesn't matter but even at iri 1 players keep falling for the same old mindgames and going down quickly. honestly a lot of survivors would do well to learn from the bots and stop playing dangerous loops and just run. That shit is more annoying and effective than it has any right to be.
      I really wish the game would tell you who brought what offering during the game. It feels a bit shitty to leave people slugged because someone decided to space out the hook and I'm not running my backpacking build.
      I see it going the same way if someone decides to bring a hooks take longer to respawn offering. akin to "Well I don't know which one of you brought that shit but we all get to wait until the hook respawns now."
      It's just a needless stall when a game is pretty much already over. I don't like waiting 4 minutes for someone to bleed out when hooking them ends everyone's annoyance but if they want to make it that way they can either crawl to an open hook or wait until this one respawns or bleed out.

      I plan on taking some time working with bots to see exactly what their pros and cons are. They're great for learning how to play the game in tutorials and do simple tasks like hold M1 on gens or do hook rescues. However, at the current moment bots don't have "skill levels", where their AI scales with intelligence based on difficulty. Why does this matter? These bots are running on 100% to do what they do now, and they will behave the same at high and low skill MMR. At low MMR a bot can carry, but at high MMR they will be the anchor. Having the match start with all player survivors increases the quality of matches, rather than quantity.
      I don't think any hook offerings should exist, but I know how the community works. Vast amounts of change like that can throw people for a loop, and without doing any testing they would revolt against it. I despite slugging happening outside of dead zones, so anything we can do to minimize it would help.

      @pogesquegaming before they nerfed killer 50 times it was balanced. Now they nerf it and buff survivors every chance they get. Especially with bnp perks becoming new

      Yeah they tend to balance in phases. They're getting the right idea with this patch, but we'll see where it goes.

      Other than that it depends if we are talking solo que or swf

      Oof yes those were some wild perks, kinda makes you wonder why some perks/perk changes hit live servers. Especially with how they get used at high and low skill levels.

    i went to go download dbd but then i thought about all the times then stop it because of all the stuff just cant fell the same anymore

      It's definitely not the same game anymore, but try not to let that stop you from enjoying it now. We can enjoy the memory of how it was, but there are still plenty of new memories to be made.

    really? its "ballanced" to hvae the new bullshit sabo toolboxes AND a perk that gives you a free bnp along with Weiving spiders XD.. Yeah this game is Shit for killers and if they dont stop nerfing it they wont hvae killers playing it anymore unless there 2000000 hour players.

      I definitely don't claim that this game 𝘪𝘴 balanced, but those updates are looking promising. The change they did for sabotaging was odd at first, as dead zones were way to prevalent, but sacrificed hooks respawning must have been what they were planning on. Lara Croft's perks are a bit concerning balance-wise, but we'll just have to see how they tweak them.

      @@PogesqueGaming look at behavors past actions. do you honestly think they will do anything but screw over killer players? this hook respawning is so survivors dont have to bleed on the ground because there are no hooks. thats it. EVERY ballance change they make is for survivors.

      While it does help keep survivors from being slugged, that's a benefit for both sides. I made a video two months ago expressing my disappointment with DBD, and even thought I was a bit emotionally charged I still stand by my concerns with the game. I'm not saying they're righting every wrong, but I'm trying to step back from the 'Us VS Them' mentality.

      Yep I did! I meant to briefly come back during the anniversary event, but I got too busy. I was tired of playing the game regularly, so I'll be reapproaching it in a more meticulous way as time goes on.

    Hahahahahahha no Vecna is a joke if I had known in dnd all I needed to do to dodge his army of the undead was crouch I would have it’s nice to know the lich who is so powerful gods fear him can get easily bmd by survivors half his powers are useless mage hand is meh, his ghosts are literally jokes so easily dodged I’ve only gotten a single hit off on em fly is garbage you can’t attack and you can move slightly faster ooooo awesome meanwhile I’ll just hold forward on my controller smoke a fat dab and ignore you because that’s all I gotta do. Not to mention the sphere which is useless again moves slower than an old man’s bowels and stinks just as much, his kit is so situational and playing him feels like the living embodiment of the meh meme.

      Haha I've only gone against him once since I made this video and my team just gave up for one reason or another. I have seen gameplay against and as him, and he leaves a lot to be desired. I do appreciate the variety in abilities however, but he could just use some more buffs.

      @@PogesqueGaming yeah he could use a lot of Buffs like I get counter play but the orb of silence in canon is way faster and the fact you just crouch under a shotgun spray of undead is insane I spent money on him if I could I’d refund because out of all the killers I own I wasn’t impressed in the slightest with him I own all killers all are sitting on devotion 6 and it feels like every patch killers get weaker

      @@MrBnnashton nah I tried the vorpal sword still easily crouch dodged I tried everything to improve his kit and all his stuff feels weak I can play any other killer save nurse and 4k or death hook everyone Vecna I have to put so much effort into why do my spells start on cooldown? Why is the undead shotgun thing weaker than the artists? Hers is way better than his

      I understand how you feel about a character you enjoy having their power be underwhelming in DBD. I feel the same way about Michael Myers and even Freddy, but hopefully they can find ways to make them feel better in the future. It took a while for Singularity to get some love, but that's coming real soon.
