So instead of spending $200 for some twists or braids for my birthday, I decided to install these twists. I just can't put into words how nobody can say sh*t to me today because I look bomb lol. Thank you!
Yesss honey! I love this energy so happy it worked for you! Send me a picture on ig so I can repost you!
@@StyledbyKami will do! ♥️
Love this comment 😭❤️
😂
I can't wait to try this. My hair is just below bra strap length and I get tired of doing my hair. I also can't pay someone $200+ to do my hair and have to come washed and detangled. So I'm excited about this.
So I tried this style on my 4b/c hair.... honestly girl I think you might have did something cause I have never received so many compliments on my hair! I have even gotten people willing to pay me to do their hair, and mine didn't even turn out as flawless as yours. I was worried that once I got water on my roots it wouldn't blend well so I used edge control. But you were right, the messier it gets, the more natural it looks. I decided to do bra strap length twists cause i prefer shorter hair and it still looks effortless. Once i curled the ends, you really would think this is my hair! Sorry this comment is so long, but this might be my new go-to protective style, its that easy and beautiful.
Actually I was wondering if it'd work on my 4c hair so thank you for the lengthy comment
That's what Ive have thinking as I watching this video. Cute style but i don't know if my type 4 hair roots would blend in with the hair as well as hers
How many packs did you use ?
Yes I wanna know how many packs too
Did you start on stretched or freshly washed hair
Anyone else trying to teach themselves how to do hair during quarantine?

I read “under 2 hours” and spit my drink out. Currently on the way to my closest beauty supply. (I know this is going to take me at least a day though)💀😂
Update: it took me 6 hours but I made it
Girl you understand lmaoooo
Irma Alexander six hours ... hmm close enough 💀💀
Let's go Queen sis... That just means the next time you do it it'll be four hours. Lol
at least i'm not the only one
Lizzy Cop I think I used about 5 or 6 packs!!😊
Ran to the beauty supply to get sole hair. 2 hours and 15 min later I have a beautiful protective style! I’ve NEVER had the confidence to do my own hair before like this. THANK YOU

What hair would i need tryna do this on my daughter
It's sad they to because many of the best stylist are self taught who practice for months&years, they will even write self taught on their Instagram or other social media Bio. Many others just went to Cosmetology school. Regardless, we all start somewhere and practice made everyone perfect.
PS! RUclips tutorials such as this video📹 has helped millions of us, myself included 😃 💇♀️ ✂️.
Just did this last night/ this morning. Definitely took more than 2hrs... more like 4! I suppose the more I do this style, the less time it'll take.
Came out so cute! And got so many complements.
Number of twists: 24
Living Inspiration so glad you tried it out! Yes the more you do it and the bigger they will take less time! Please tag me on ig I would love to see thanks for commenting my love 😍
How many packs did you use
@@StyledbyKami Haha, I'm part of the fraction who don't have ig😁😁😁 can we do that with fb? I don't really be on fb either buttt as we all know, "fb can't be deleted"
@@KosmikGawdess I used a hair brand named "Janet: EZ Tex braid prestretched hair, 56in. 3pk. I used one pack (3bundles) and one bundle from the second pack. Each pack was 6$ 🙌🏽🙌🏽 so this my go to the rest of the summer❤🧡💛
@@Glori_nailzz girlll I was looking for something simple to do and this is it thank you for sharing sis!!! This will be my staple as well. I will try with ombre hair as well 😎
This is the first hair tutorial I was successfully able to do. Coming from someone who’s tutorially challenged this is truly the easiest style to do. It took me maybe 3 1/2 hours the first time cause I had never twisted before but second time I got it down to two hours. Thank you! You got me feeling like I can do anything now
Please come back and show us how it looks after 2 weeks!
Ashley's Lane will do!!
Goood comment
I have jumbo braids and about the 2 and a half week my natural hair began to peak out. What I have done is I redid the ones to the front of my head . How I wear the braids is usually in a pony tail and because it so long you don't see the hairs to the back of the head that has walked out. Also when I put my hair in buns I place a scar around it . It looks really cute and the hide my roots that has fuzzed. I have SHORT 4c hair so my hair unwraps too. What ibhace done for right now is plait the jumbo hair in two plaits and it looks like i hace a brand new hair style. My natural hair at the roots I made sure was in and UNDER the braid. If I works for me it should for you because my hair would fuzz as soon as it is finished
looking at the video on jumbo twist i like how many did you do
StyledbyKami hi I just found you a few days ago and I love this style I can wear this in fall and winter too?
I like how she achieved this look without having to blow dry her hair!!❤️
I did this 2 nights ago and I’m so happy with the results! I did it so spontaneously when I had insomnia and they turned out so pretty and took me only 2-3 hours. I didn’t have rubber bands so I used the second method thru my whole head so it’s very comfy.
yes! so happy to hear this!
girl, that looks soooooo easy, but I'll find a way to screw it up. so beautiful. good job. gonna keep watching to see if I can learn how to do it. my favorite twists are Marley twists, so I'll be using the kinky hair. I hope it comes out decent. thanks for sharing your gift.
sean good luck my love! Glad u found it helpful
@@StyledbyKami I've subscribed to your channel. I'm so excited.
@StyledbyKami how many packs of hair did you use?
The best hair tutorial ever! No long widnded speech at the beginning, you got straight to it and actually showed how easily it can be done! Love it love it!! Thank you sooo much! Been able to do my hair in this current covid situ!!
So glad you enjoyed! If you have done the twist send me a pic on ig so I can repost you my love
AMERICANS STAY BLESSED WITH THE PRE STRETCHED HAIR i cant wait till it starts happening over here omg
Where you from? Because I know Xpression do pre-stretched hair in the UK
I get you... I have been searching far and wide for it in China
Even here in south Africa, we need it..I'd also like the sized up one already that would be cool!
I get mine from here www.thegoodhairshow.co.uk/product-page/box-braids or if this site has ran out, I go here www.pauls-hair-world.co.uk/x-pressions-pre-stretched-ultra-braid
Xanthus yeah, where are you? We have it in Canada as well. If there is a Clore store in your city, they usually carry them.
Now THIS is something I can do 😭 thank you for the detailed, easy to follow, affordable protective style!
Trinity Miracle so glad u found it helpful!
This took me 3 hours, I did it right before I had to hop on a flight to Texas. Literally saved me!
I only used the rubber bands on the ends to stop unraveling and definitely embraced the messy look but my in-laws gave lots of compliments!
Did the rubber bands make the ends look bulky or not really?
Using a crotchet needle helps a lot with this style when pulling the hair through the hole
tweedybird I was gonna say that. That’s what I do lol
If that’s easy for u go for it but this was easy for me I struggle with the needle in the back of my head
StyledbyKami yeah I understand that
Or just do it the regular way without the hole bit.
BijinXOXO some people don’t have a good grip though when it comes to doing it the regular way
I watched this 3 times in a row, decided I was capable of this, not having ever done my hair & proceeded to go to my local beauty supply store .. 2.5 hours later and I look terrible. Lmao
See! I thought about doing it myself but I just know I’d look a mess if I tried it..Idc how easy it is, I’ll f*ck it up lmao
The first time(Senegalese twistd) I did my own hair was decent but not good. The 2nd time (twists again) was tf terrible. The 3rd time (box braids) was pretty okay. The 4th time (passion twists) I thought I was really amazing as well as the 5th time (faux locs). Got many compliments and even people asking me to do theirs when I did the 4th and 5th look. Keep going!😊😊
💀💀💀🤣🤣🤣
Practice seriously makes perfect. I tried this at first it was wonky and uneven, then the 2nd time I learnt better now it's simple and neat
😂😂😂😂
Thank you for uploading this. I've done this style SO MANY TIMES since I first watched this and it's been a life saver. I usually wash and braid my hair in one day. The next day my hair is dry, stretched, and ready to twist. AND you were right; its less than 2 hours when I begin twisting.
I'm getting myself some braiding hair tomorrow morning. I HAVE TO TRY THIS
ARMY?
Just finished mine im so hype this will be my new go to style
Mocha Lynn yay!! I’m so happy girl mine too I took them out and miss them already tag me on ig so I can see
Omg just tried this hairstyle 2 days ago and I am receiving sooooooo many compliments!!! The easiest and shortest "hair tube" tutorial I've tried.
Thx for the tutorial - I just did this style for a vacation and loved it. I was easy to do, easy to maintain, easy take-down with very little shedding! Loved it fresh, loved it messy - will definitely do it again ... and again!
Wow this is a really cute style & by far the simplest tutorial! Thank you for this! I’m excited to try it
Dyani D thank you glad u enjoyed it 💋
This is the smartest method I have ever seen 😍😍. I’m definitely gonna try this. Thanks for posting this.
AmiSMR thank you!!! So glad u are going to try it
Girl you out here saving lives! I didn’t know what to do with my hair because I have so much heat damage and breakage and didn’t want to box braid my hair again because a lot of my hair came out when I took out my braids last week so I wanted to do something with less tension and this is perfect!! THANK YOU!!🙏
Oh hell yes I AM DOING THIS!! 😍👏🏾👏🏾 this is literally the most foolproof, hassle free technique I’ve seen! You’re a God send sis! Bless 🙏🏾💫
This was by far one of the best Tutorials ever on twists. Thank you!!
Omg, finally a new, long lasting protective style that I think I can actually do!! Can’t wait to try it! Thanks for posting🙌
So, I have successfully mastered this look! In fact, It has allowed me to not straighten my hair but only 3 times in 2022 and that's a big deal for me. My natural hair is now 2 inches from waist length. I leave it in for about 2 months but I get the most compliments around the 2 month mark. I love this look and thank you for making this video
Oooh, I am so excited to try this. I just stumbled upon this video, and I love me a good twist style. I plan on using this as my main protective style. I’m trying to get like you with my hair being almost waist length! I am shocked that you keep them in for 2 months tho, seems like the larger twists don’t last that long.
So, I just did mine yesterday and they are cute. I do have my concerns on if the rubber bands will cause breakage. Have you noticed any?
I tried this last week and I love it!! It took me around 5 hours because I've never done big twists like this before, and bc of that they didn't look great, so today I re-did all of them and did it with no rubber bands this time because I actually found it easier and better for styling; Only took me 2 hours this time. Love love love!! I'm gonna be doing this style all 2020 lol
aly I'm trying it for the second time tonight pray for me lol
Can you give me a suggestion on the parting? How many twists you have? I'm wanting to try but curious about that in the back and front
Tonika Wyckoff I split my hair down the middle, and I parted each side into 3 sections, so 6 sections overall. I did 4 twists per section making for 24 twists :)
Thank you!!!😇
Brilliant tutorial!!!!👌 I've braided, my hair using the rubber band method, quite a few times now,, it is very easy to do, and also it doesn't hurt, my head, when I'm asleep as the traditional box braid method, does!!!!
Great video graphics, too the filming was great and I could clearly understand the the instructions, brilliant production!!!!
Much blessings!!!🙏
I'm doing this style for the 2nd time, I got so many compliments and loved the style! Thanks for sharing
I love this because you showed an alternative way to having a crochet hook to pull the hair through.
This is so beautiful I LOVE IT! I cannot braid and barely can achieve a perfect twist lol but I may have the guts to try this myself! You make it look easy, thanks girl! Be blessed 🙏🏾
Charniece Johnson yay!!! So happy u found it helpful good luck
Doing this today, thanks girl! Being natural is a true struggle and RUclips has saved my life in the process
Omg thankyou for this !! I was almost about to give up watching all these tutorials 😫 the way you described it made it make so much sense!! Thanks 💓🤲🏾✨
So happy I could help!
I’ve seen quite a few jumbo, Havana, Senegalese twist, whatever ppl want to call them, but yours are my absolute FAVORITE! I’ve even put them on my hair for the first time in my life, while watching your twist videos. Thanx for the tips!
Yay! This makes me so happy to hear! Send me a picture on ig to repost you id love to see 💕
This is a GENIUS method that I think will definitely work for me. Thanks girl
Kendra Johnson thank you so much! Hope you try it out!
Wow! This is super easy! I love all of you creative, beautiful sistahs who keep making it easy for us to take care of our hair.
IF you have recreated this style PLEASE TAG me on IG so I can see and repost I would love to see all of your beautiful faces!!!
THANK YOU for sharing this super simple method!! I've been searching for a protective style that doesn't put as much strain on my edges. I'm wearing box braids now. This is beautiful and easy. Can you show us how you remove the style? I'm thinking the hair may get tangled in the rubber bands. It wouLd also be helpful to know how long you can keep it in before the style starts to lose its appeal. Wanting more of this PLEASE!!
I've never done my own hair before and actually only had box braids twice in my life and I'm now 50 but I'm gonna try it. You look lovely. Beautiful job
I’ve done my own twists/ box braids before. This time I did 22 twists and it still took took me 3.5 hours. Idk how she got it done in less than 2 but good for you sis 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Good job! 3.5 still isn’t bad!
I love the positivity in the comments. Definitely going to try this as my go to style for the summer!!!! You did a great job!!!
Definitely doing this. Needed something before Christmas 😂 and I wasn’t about to pay $180.
O.m.g. finally a TRULY quick hairstyle with braids unnecessary to begin. Bravo for the seamless look! 🙌🏽
Not only do I love the hair style but I love love the way she just implemented a new way to insert the hair with rubber band! 💙 wamBamThankYama’am
I finally found a video where it was explained perfectly. For some reason I couldnt get the twist right and it kept unraveling and wouldnt stay. This the first video that I have found that said braid in the opposite direction that help so much i tried on my natural hair first. I usually do the jumbo braids but want to try something different thank you so much.
Girl you so saved me - I’m about to go to a very humid vacation!!!!!
Shal Perk yay!!! Perfect timing 😍
I like your technique of installing your twists. Your natural hair is nice too.
Took me over 2 hours for 40 twists. Next time I'll try to get 20 like you because I want thick twisted hair 😍
y’all were not lying about compliments. i’ve been doing them for a few months now and i’ve never gotten so many compliments in my life. seriously guys i’ve had all types of people compliment my hair lol
Thank you so much for this video, I’ve been looking for a protective style as I want to grow my hair longer and I’m not used to doing protective styles. I had a bit of trouble with the parting so my mom helped me... and did the rest of the work, it turned out so nice I love them so much! I’m so grateful for my moms help because I know I’d look like a mess 😭
I like the mixture of the two different colors in the twists. Gorgeous
WOW you made that look super easy and super cute 😍
Thank u glad I enjoyed
I can't explain how happy I am that I found this video. I'VE NEVER done this before and my first attempt knocked me off my feet!! When i try it my 3rd/4th time I better getvready to take appointments bc ppl gon be askin!! I slayed it babe! Can't thank you enough 😘😘🔥🔥🙌🏽❤👌🏽💋
Super rcute and really easy😍. I tried these today and they came out nice. My first time.... Need me some more practice with the rope twisting part, but other then that, cute. Thanky you very much for this technique. Love it👍👍
Nuelette Adams glad you tried it! Please tag me if u post a pic on insta so I can see. Don’t worry it’s gets easier plus this style looks better the frizzier it gets
Did you use the rubber bands?
Sister you have beautiful natural hair! You go girl!
I did this! Thanks for the great tutorial. It took me about 3.5 hours. At first I couldn't figure out how this could be done with just that one pack (3 bundles) of hair. But, it's enough, trust her. I also took a LONG time trying to figure out how to part my hair. I divided my hair into 4 quadrants and then made 6 twists in each quadrant. I also had to stop in the beginning because I didn't have the right rubber bands. I made a trip to CVS and bought those tiny, shiny rubber bands. It came out nice. I know I'll do a better job next time.
So happy for you girlie!!! Shoot me a pic on Instagram so I can see your beautiful results
You're amazing! I tried to do crochet and gave up...this I can do🤗
gordon115DIY yay! Good luck 💋
The best easiest tutorial for a college student like me who doesn't have time, or a lot of money to get hair done.
Wow! This was so darn easy. It's early in the am. I'm getting v this hair and doing this style this morning.
This video was right on TIME! I need to redo my edges and they way you do the rubber band method is exactly what I needed to see. Bomb!
BrookeElise81 yay!!! So happy this helped you sis
This looks soo good on you! I wanna try it out 😍❤️
Naima Phillips thank u! Glad u enjoyed
I love everything about this style! I did this last week and loved it! I had to take it out because I didn't do the best job hiding my hair..BUT I try again and get kinkier hair!
How do youll come up with these methods? Pure talent ...love it!
I come back to this video every time i decide to do this style. i didn’t know how to do any protective styles but this vid helped me out a lot. ❤️
I can tell this video is from 2019 cuz of the way she is talking about summer
😣😢😔
Let’s pray for summer ‘21
Bro I'm wheezing
Perfect!!! Doing this today. Hopefully I get it done before I go out tonight. It looks like to cut time I should part the hair first and put the rudder bands on them then go back slide the hair threw and twist. For everyone complaining about time I suggest you part at least 2-3 inches apart from each other.
I love doing twists in my hair! Yours looks much cleaner than mine. So of course I had to get these tips. 🤗
These are so pretty and simple. I’m going to try this! I hate paying ppl to do my hair and this is a method I can definitely do on myself.
B Taylor save them coins love good luck!!
Hey girl! I needed a easy protective style I can do for the summer besides braids & I love this ! I did it last night & it turned out super cute! Obviously, the more I do it the cleaner it’ll come out, but for my first time it’s soooo cute 😍 I got a lot of compliments already. It definitely took me longer than 2 hours 🤣 I had to take a whole ass smoke 🍃💨 Break 😂 but it was easy as hell to do, I’ll definitely continue this style! Thank you! 🥰
Heavy on the smoke break 😭😭
oh my god finally someone who makes it look SO easy the rest of the videos i watched on this style looked so hard thank you
I'm watching this in 2020 going off like " What activities, What vacations"? then I looked at the video date! 😂
I just got done with my hair, i dont know how 2 attach photo but i luv it.... Yes so simple, your direction r very clear, thank u... At the end i had put my ends in hot hot water using a towel so water want burn me, that help lay hair down and even weave because my hair is very short & i spritz it after that to lock. Thank u.........
This is so clever. Thank you for sharing. Side question. Where did you get the white cube shelving system in the background?
nph136 thank love! The shelf is from ikea and just turned it horizontal instead over vertical
The rubber band stuff just blowed my mind. Thanks!!!!
I’m gonna try this I’ll update how it goes 😬
Update: I did it Friday but I forgot to update oops! I’ve never done twists or braids before but I think it went pretty well for my first try, I’ve gotten some compliments 😁😁
Yesss please do!
Was so hard to find one that looked natural loved the way you did it and explained thank you babes
Great quick & very informative video, thank u!
Bre thank u that was the goal 🥰
I have such a hard time not snagging m hair with a crochet hook, love your method.
Same this works so much better glad you found it helpful
I really appreciate the detailed information in the description box! Hair looks good too
😱Genius.... bout to try this now girl! Thank you 😊
HopeElayne yay!!! So happy u are going to try it
HopeElayne how did it turn out?🤗
thx boo. didnt think would work on my kinkier hair, but it did. i tried the other rope twist method, but it was a fail. u out here saving lives...much love~
Yes I'm trying this. It came out so cute 😍
Tyiece thanks! Glad u like it
Just got done trying this style.Sis it took me 1 hr and 15 minutes! This is my new go to.
I LOVVVVEEEE THIS ! You’ve saved my life sis!
New subbie 😌
GIIRRLLL when you put the braiding hair THRU the rubber band section, I said Boom she really put me on and I'm so excited to do this style 💖💖
Thank you for this! Just found my weekend project 💁❤
Excited to try this! I usually use Marley hair for my twists but have been wanting a softer, fluffier look lately. Definitely gonna get my hands on some pre-stretched hair
But how did u do the parting in the back or did u just took random strands?
My three favorite things quick, easy and beautiful!
Simplest I've seen, love it💥
Bless B so glad you found it! 💋💋💋
I paused mid video and ran to do this style! Took about 4 hours because I ended up redoing them without the rubber band and adding length once I got the method down and gurrrrrrlllll you just gave me my new protective style. Thank you!!!
Your welcome girl! Send me a dm on ig with a pic so I can repost you would love to see
I love this, and I'm gonna try this today! Im'ma say this for my fellow 4c/4h sisters😂😂😂: We are gonna need to do a variation. I'm gonna stretch/blowout my hair first and use edge control on the entire length of my hair because if I don't, I'm gonna have 25 afro puffs with a Senegalese twist sticking out the middle by the close of business today.🫠🤣🤣 I'll report back.🚶🏾♀️🚶🏾♀️🙃
I clicked like 3 seconds in just off the results pic 💛💛💛 thanks !
Did it, took me 3.5 hours (first time ever trying), I couldn't do it without the rubber band in front like she did...my hair is too soft and it kept slipping so I needed an anchor. Simple and cute...also love how they look as they get older
