Boy if the Philippines wants to be considered a developing country instead of a third world country, it better figure out how to operate their airports without having to shut them down. That's got to be embarrassing as the rest of the world looks on.

Meron ako departure e-travel I registered on it, pero wala naman nag check about it, nung Monday May 1, the day ng flight ko kahit yung departure card don't know what happen. Grabe ang kaartehan sa Airport sa Pinas, pero pag dumating ka sa bansang pupuntahan mo wala ng mga kung ano anong tanong or checking.
More people are reporting that etravel wasnt checked at all. Hmm. Are u a ph pssport holder po?

Jennifer, we have gone through the pandemic together and you are the person I rely on for updates on travel information to the Philippines. There will always be a need for the travel updates with the Philippines, I am hoping that you will continue with doing the updates, but I am not so selfish to understand that if you want or need to move on to other ventures that is what you have to do for you. The best of luck in whatever you decide to do, I am leaving my notification bell on so if you do any updates, I hopefully will get them. Once again thank you for everything you do and have done to keep us informed.

Hi Jennifer, I left the Philippines yesterday May 2nd and both my flights were late. My first flight was from Davao to Manila and that flight was supposed to leave Davao at 2:20 PM , then it was changed to 2:40 PM and then it was changed to 3:00 PM . The plane didn't leave until almost 5:30. PM.
My 2nd flight from Manila to Los Angeles, CA USA was supposed to leave at 9:05 PM and they changed that to 10:20 PM , Because a lot of the passengers were on the same flight as me that we're going from Davao to Manila and then going to Los Angeles.. The Manila to Los Angeles CA USA flight didn't leave until almost 11:30 PM .
But it made good time in to Los Angeles because we landed at 8:15 PM . Initially we were supposed land at 7:30 PM .
I’m taking the same flight, same route back to the US on the 21st.. hopefully i don’t have to put up with these delays…

My return visit to PH last July was successful and quite easy, thanks to your guidance and continued updates during and after covid lock downs. I will be coming back this July, and as always, tuned in to your current events and updates on PH travels. Thank you for that. Your work is very much appreciated. BTW, congrats on your 200K subs. Great job and keep on keeping on.
What are the requirements to get in the country, vax or test?
My Mom booked her flight to the Philippines on Cheap-O-Air because it was really cheap. Then Covid hit. She was stranded in the Philippines with nobody to help with her return flight. I was in contact with Cheap-O-Air many times and many hours to no avail. They wouldn't rebook the return flight or refund any amount. It was super frustrating to say the least. I was very angry because of the lack of cooperation with Cheap-O-Air. I was finally able to book a return flight out of the Philippines by booking directly with my airlines (Delta). My Mom was in the Philippines for almost 9 months from which should have been a 4 month trip. Nobody should NEVER book with a third party booking site no matter how cheap the plane ticket may seem.
If the ticket is non-refundable, you would not get a refund. Buy travel insurance.

Hi Jennifer, I just wanted to say that I have recently been over to Hong Kong and I had such a lot of problems completing my etravel for return to Philippines when using my laptop. Specifically in the vaccination section. After a frustrating 30mins I thought I would try using my cell phone, it worked first time. Maybe it was a problem with my laptop, but I don't think so. Anyway, may be worth bearing in mind if others experience similar problems.

That's correct, but you have to show proof of being former Filipino (old PH passport or PSA birth cert).

Foreigners still need to register etravel for exit. Just flew out of Naia Sunday and they were checking the code on entry into airport terminal.

This is NOT about flights but my Asawa is a US citizen balikbayan visiting her family in the Philippines. She tried to get a sim card and was told she need a VISA . What to do?
use the airport wifi and ask a family member to buy / register the SIM for them?
@ronald - if she's a balikbayan, then she should have been given 1 year balikbayan privilege (that serves as her visa). She should be able to buy a SIM card at the airport or at any kiosk selling them. She'll need her passport for identification purposes.
Maybe they are closing the airspace for the US and Philippine military EDCA exercises

Hi, quick question for Canadian Passport Holders, what is the Max Vacation day allowed... Sa Pinas?
It's 30 days, unless you're a former Filipino citizen and you have proof of it (old PH passport or PSA birth cert) - then you can get 1 year balikbayan privilege.

@@joelhortaleza4094 if you are now a foreign citizen (have naturalized abroad), your PH passport is now invalid. You can't/ shouldn't use it for travel anymore, because to do so is a felony. However, you can use it as proof that you're a former Filipino and get the 1 year balikbayan privilege. (You're not considered as a dual citizen unless you applied for reaquisition of PH citizenship.). For balikbayan privilege, yes show your old PH passport upon arrival in PH and ask for balikbayan privilege.

Yes, you have to register, all passengers arriving in the Philippines, whether you are foreigner, dual, Filipino citizen, is a must. Listen and read always for the updates.
