I'm here now (Sept 20-23) and really disappointed with how difficult it is to get ANYWHERE on the strip. I feel trapped in my resort. This was our first trip to Vegas and I cant say its been worth it. We MIGHT try downtown again sometime, but never again on the strip. Its a mess.
@@UpUpOurWay Mandalay Bay. The mile from Excalibur to Caesars is awful, trapped in constructiom on the sidewalks, trapped in traffic on the Deuce, trapped in traffic in a cab. We made it to Downtown on Thursday and had fun, but then it took us 80 minutes to get back on the Deuce. (35 mins to Fashion Show but then another 40 just to get through the mess.) We tried taking the CX too, but that's getting caught up in the mess on Flamingo too, and you still need to get from the Excalibur team stop to Caesars somehow to catch that bus. Not easy with the Bellagio sidewalk closed. Saturday we literally just stayed in our hotel room all day because it was so impossible to get anywhere. I have to give a shout out to The Egg Shop though. They were delicious and provided a nice escape from the resorts.

I enjoyed watching Las Vegas Grand Prix, in 2023, and I'm looking forward to seeing it again this year. I'm also a fan of NASCAR. The reason why it took the workers so long to for the racetrack to be constructed, was because it was the first time that F1 made its debut in Las Vegas. For Locals, driving all over town everyday you do not notice the construction on the strip, most locals do not go to the strip really no need. as for driving into Vegas, the majority of the traffic issues is with the Reconstruction of the freeway, the 1-15 Kiewit Project from Blue Diamond to Sahara has made huge traffic issues, and the Las Vegas Paving project on the I-215 from Sunset to Rainbow,
I’m sure most aren’t affected, just the ones who work on or near the strip.
@@UpUpOurWaybut that’s very important as many people do work on the strip. Many will be using their points and call off work
So youre telling me that if i travel to one of the best sightseeing destinations in the world, i can go to jail for *checks notes*.... stopping and sightseeing. 😐
😬😬😬
So, this ordinance was proposed LONG before F1, it was to combat the homeless and pan handling…. and the countless stabbings/ murders over the past few years on the sky bridges.
I highly doubtt they ill be passing out citations unless you refuse a command to "keep it moving"
The bellagio fountain is closed? the fuck?
No, they’re still running, just the sidewalk in front of Bellagio is closed. There’s another viewing area outside of the lobby of Bellagio.
I know Darn well I would fire every one of these politicians, this race is outrageous. Now that I found out that the bellagio's sidewalk is closed not coming. We thought it was only going to be the first year, now we're canceling our plans we're going to LA instead.
Vegas is attracting billionaires and centi billionaires . Those formula 1 cars cost like $15,000,000+ and are impressive engineering feats. If you enjoy sports cars or super cars. Formula 1 is for you. Ferrari/mclaren/etc
The construction is a pain, but we attended the qualifier last year and had a lot of fun.
will you be attending? Get us the inside scoop!
If we can get a good deal on tickets, we will go. We did go last year and made a video on the experience, go check it out if interested 😊
@@UpUpOurWay hopefully you do! If you can't, maybe a video on best free/paid locations to view the race or any deals would be nice
F1 is not welcome here and we locals don’t like it . Stop disrupting our lives.
We do hear that feedback from a lot of the locals which are impacted the most, hopefully it is a lot smoother this year.
On not again, this caused absolute chaos. Screw F1.
Yep, hopefully it will be less chaotic this year
@@UpUpOurWaythey still have the bridge at Flamingo and Koval and businesses in that area will rightfully complain about losing money. Is Las Vegas that deaf or arrogant about this. I’ve never seen a city care less about their residents as Las Vegas. We are just pawns to them
All of this just for a car race?
Going to Vegas every 2 weeks sounds terrible 😂
It’s the best! 😃
I wouldn’t visit Las Vegas from at least May to October as insanely too hot. They can keep it
I’m an avid F1 fan. Vegas race is a joke. Just ask the drivers.
All for show, I’m sure.
Not this crap again 😭
RIDESHARE UBER LIFT.... ALL NEED TO DESIGNATE AN AREA OR TWO SPECIFICALLY WITH DRIVERS PICKING UP FARES .... last year was insane with no traffic control especially. with angry drunk pedestrians after manhole cover caused delays.
F1 is like that self-absorbed person who doesn't care about how their actions are negatively affecting those around them. I'll def. be boycotting them.
😂😂😂
i'm excited for F1
F1 needs to go away and move this race out to Las Vegas motor speedway
good idea!
Why is this a good idea? Is las Vegas motor speedway a grade 1 fia venue? Nope.
@saintmoz because its not on the strip and tourists can enjoy the strip
They had a race in the car park of Caesar's Palace in the 1980s.
@@davidstephensky9248 well as a tourist and an f1 fan, I can say I enjoy the race and the minor disruption is such a small price to pay. Without major events Vegas will lose its lustre, I can guarantee you won’t get nearly as many international travellers to the city if it loses the race. Let’s get real Las Vegas motor speedway has zero chance of hosting a Grand Prix.
Haha great thumbnail!
Damn I forgot about F1 construction.....I'm driving for the first time ever in LA and then to Vegas in a few weeks, holy wish me luck guys 😆🫣
My cute outfit😂. You’ll be fine! We make the drive every 2 weeks. You’ll be in the casino mostly anyway 😂
Ugh!!!! F1 destroys the fun of vegas strip such a waste!!!!!!!
Show the receipts for the claim of the $30M loss. It’s total BS and that’s why Battistas is suing for only $50K lol. This video is click bait and full of hyperbolic nonsense.
Right, I saw that too… I have seen no proof that any of them lost anywhere close to that figure.
It’s all things we read in news articles. 🤷♀️
F1 was an amazing experience. We can’t wait for this year’s race. LV made $250,000,000 from the last race and last November was the best November ever for the casinos. I’ve never seen Bellagio, Venetian, and Park MGM so busy!! All the table were PACKED!
@@StephanieEyestone fake news
We agree with you, the race was an amazing experience, but unfortunately the rich got richer and the poor got poorer 🤷♀️🤷🏼♂️
I truly hope that F1 gets sued for every penny of profit that they make!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sadly the casinos have been doing that for decades. Those corporate owners get rich while we give them our hard earned money. The House always wins!!!

Somebody has to buy out the 3 year negotiation clause.
Even if it works out better than last year, it's a thorn in the side
We think F1 is here for the long term, sports is the new big thing in Las Vegas. Las Vegas Raiders, Las Vegas Aces, F1 Las Vegas, Las Vegas Golden Knights and soon Las Vegas Athletics (at the cost of the historic Tropicana ☹)
@@UpUpOurWay
That"s the thing
The Athletics didn't sign up when they were supposed too!
It might explain why F1 has a three year renegotiation clause in the 10 year contract !
Maybe F1 was a backup plan
The A"s didn't sign up because The Tropicana property is only 9 /12 acres
Demolition of The Trop, was delayed before it was rescheduled, due to aspestos issues
@@UpUpOurWay Don't forget NASCAR, MINT400 And the PBR rodeo at south-point which is always fun!
Absolutely asinine idea to bring this to Vegas
Fu F1
