Great video subject, I currently have 31 watches with 3 on their way in the next few months so I am rapidly approaching my self-imposed limit of 36 watches for my collection. Since that day is rapidly approaching and the remaining slots I am reserving for watches I just can't pass up or maybe a grail watch I have pivoted to buying straps and experimenting with my collection. It's amazing to me how swapping straps can completely change a watches appeal and will give me the impression that it is a brand new watch or at least renew the love that got me to get the watch in the first place. I have a healthy collection of Nato's and rubbers, a few leathers and bracelets and I'm always looking to find great alternatives for my watches. I think the most I ever got up to was around 42 and that was way more than I could personally manage efficiently. You are 100% correct about the strap swaps extending or reviving the honeymoon phase with an old watch. Even something as simple as a color change in similar leather for example can have an amazing impact. I am glad you enjoyed my look at these straps and I hope your collection continues to bring you joy! 😎🙌
Deployment clasps can make a strap last almost indefinitely. With a tang buckle, they start wearing out almost immediately. Either the edges wear and fray or the tang holes tear through. Sometimes they'll even start tearing apart around the pins at the lugs. 6:16 Also, My two Bulova watches have their lug holes drilled very close to the watch body. It really limits what straps and bracelets you can use. I ran into this with both the Devil Dive Oceanographer and the Lunar Pilot watches.

I have the croc embossed strap in green. It looks really good with my gold Fossil watch. I used to store it on a watch pillow but it got a bit stuck for a while because of the shiny layer so now I store it flat. So far, mine still looks good after many many months.

Love the suede rally strap and FKM rubber. Glad you pointed out the possibility of “the gap” with the straight end links on the engineer bracelet. I don’t care for that gap look either! Don’t know why…but it bugs me.
Haha, yeah, I guess we're OCD or perfectionists because it bugs me too! I recently got a blue leather strap for this Cadisen Datejust homage, but the lug holes are so far from the case, any aftermarket strap just looks goofy on it. I was so bummed lol. The Tag Heuer Rally and the FKM are outta this world! Thanks for the comment man! 😎🙌

No worries, Junior! I'm sending all my replies out today haha. So the best place I've had luck with bronze buckles is actually buying them individually on Etsy.com. There different styles but thats the only place I've found brozne buckles at so far. Hopefully they have some in a style you're okay with!
