We getting close to a Submariner with this one! 🗣️🔥
Thoughts?? Let’s hear it down below 👇
Nice video man, thanks a lot! To me it is very different from the Submariner as the Submariner has got a much more sporty design. The Tudor really speaks the tudor DNA. So if someone really wants a Submariner I think this is not the right watch for them.
I do like the design of the Tudor. It is pleasingly boring.
Submariners have ceramic bezel inserts.
14060 & 16610?
You have to compare it with actual model 124060
No I don’t. Submariners do in fact have aluminum bezels is the point I’m making.
Tudor really delivered what watch enthusiasts wanted. May it serve you well for years to come.
Thanks Michael! Yes, they really do listen and put out some phenomenal watches. I was not expecting the METAS cert, and I hate to admit, but its just as accurate as my Fifty Fathoms, granted with less power reserve. Tudor is killing it! 😎👍🍻
My first Tudor was a Black Bay 41 M79680-0001 and it has such a beautiful dial and I fell in love with the T-Fit clasp. I like a semi-loose fit and it gives me the luxury of a quick micro adjust. The clasp on the Tag Heuser Aquaracer Pro 300 Date is equally as awesome and the cyclops date is da bomb for us old dudes. I just bought this model Tudor but haven't picked it up yet and the watch is a little scarce and still brings a premium in the grey market.
Thanks for your overview...I think I just made up my mind that I'm going to pick one of these up in the next month or so.
I’ve been keeping an eye on Tudor it’s become one of my favorite brands over the past couple years , this watch is gorgeous simple but beautiful. I’d love to see this watch in a champagne dial two-tone jubilee bracelet.
Such a great piece, I fell in love with this new release last year with the burgundy variant. Tudor keeps killing it! Congrats Tudor bro! Wear it in good health.
Yes sir!! They keep getting better and better with each release that is dropped! Thanks for the support my #tudorbro 😎🍻👍
Congratulations on ten years, that’s a big milestone! Enjoy that rad new Tudor and thanks for the video 👍
Thanks a ton! I’m glad you enjoyed the vid! 😎🙌
It was available on a 5-link bracelet a couple of days ago when I swung by the Tudor Boutique at Gatwick Airport.
Huge congrats David for getting this beautifully Tudor BB41 and wear it in great health
Thanks so much Sixto! I will definitely be giving it all my wrist time for a while haha 😎🙌
I picked one up last week, got the only one available in my local Tudor boutique. A mixture of timing and good buying history meant I was able to get it. Really like the watch, especially the 5 link bracelet!
Congrats!! Wow the only one! I’m sure that your purchase history played a role and definitely had good timing there. It seems like luck and timing are common with getting these watches out in the wild. Sad to see them already up on eBay and chrono for over retail but I suppose that is to be expected. Enjoy your BB! 😎🙌
Picked mine up last week in 3 link. Have not taken it off…
Got one yesterday, but I gotta say they availible anywhere you go. Seeing them at under retail price as well..
They are readily available and not difficult to get at all.
@@skeykethat is great to hear
I picked one of these up on Monday, I heard from the AD that this is the first one that received. They set it aside for me when they received it. No purchase history with this AD, but they did coordinate the service for my GMT and I’ve been going in there for 2+ years. I love this piece and the rubber strap is on order. Can’t wait to receive it!!
Awesome, congrats! That is a very cool AD to hold it for you! I can't wait to get my rubber strap too, summer is right around the corner! 😎👍🍻
Great review. Best one I’ve seen so far! Subscribed
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the support! 😎🙌
Picked up the only one (5 link version) at my local AD the day after you bought yours. Beautiful time piece and much better looking in person. Love it so far.
Congrats! I personally think the 5-link is "the one" to get so I'm happy to hear you were able to get one too! Thanks for sharing and enjoy the watch! 😎👍🍻
Stunning addition to your collection 👌🏼👌🏼
I guess what your FF will think about that 😂
I personally love it.
Cheers buddy 🙌🙌
Haha, thanks man! Yes, the FF is going to have to sit there on the winder for a bit longer these days...but not for too long. 😉 Thanks for the support and for checking out the vid! 😎👍🍻
yup. I also picked up the watch (with Oyster bracelet) in Shanghai for my 30th anniversary present. (my wife got few gold rings, necklaces..etc in Shanghai also) A truly great movement. I had it for 8 days and like you said, it is going exactly 0.7 second fast per day. Love the clasp, but wish that it was bit longer (like Rolex Sub Clasp) with 3 more adjustable notches (of course, just my own wish. it is fine as it is). Thanks for the review.
looks good man, congrats on the years your wife puts up with ya, lol beautiful piece bro. also congrats on the anniversary
Thanks Brian! Haha, let's see if she can stand me for another 10 years! 😂😂😂
Stunning!
Nice pick up. My local AD has this watch, in all 3 configurations, the week after W&W. I tried it on and really think it's an awesome watch. The monochrome is a hit. If I wasn't already waiting on another watch from my AD I would have picked it up. I was told they were sent a handful of this watch, so it didn't seem there was difficulty at first. Time will tell, but I feel this will sell better than the burgundy bezel model.
Very cool! I know it takes discipline to stay focused on the watch your are truly after so I feel you on that one! I hope the watch you're after arrives to your AD soon so you can take delivery on it, and thanks for sharing! 😎👍🍻
Man I'm early to this one! Can't wait to get this watch!
Hey!! First comment woot woot! And yes, it’s simply phenomenal imho! Cheers man! 😎🙌
Congrats brother. Beautiful piece🤌🙋🏻♂️
Thank you Leo! I really appreciate you! 😎👍🍻
I have the burgundy on the jubilee. Very pretty
I purchased this watch on day one from my usual Tudor authorized dealer. This is my 5th Black Bay 41mm and this one is a completely different animal in terms of dimensions. It looks like a 39mm on the wrist. Much smaller and lighter. Looks smaller than a Pelagos 39mm and the current Sub. Those who complain that this watch should have been a 58 should really try it.
Congrats! I absolutely agree, wears so much smaller than the dimensions lead one to think, and anyone who complains really should get it on wrist first. This is my 4th Tudor purchase and it has really made me fall in love with the brand all over again. It's always nice to run into a fellow #tudorbro 😎👍🍻
@@DavidSchwartzjr Thanks for the reply. We feel the same about this new Monochrome !
@@DavidSchwartzjrHearing this is going to push me into my local AD. 👀
Sharp Blay Bay. I prefer the Pelagos 42 myself. The Pelagos dresses up or dresses down very very well.
Congrats on a winner. Compared to a no date sub, I prefer the flat blk aluminum and dial, the five link, less clunky t fit, no guards, the flared rehaut, and the snow flake. Oh, and it's half the price?!?!
It always surprises me when I hear that some models are still hard to get hold of. There seems to be no waitlists anymore for Tudor in the UK 🤷🏼♂️
Yes, I was hearing that some ADs may not get them til late summer/early fall, which is wild! I'd imagine if the demand is too great, that may actually be the case but its hard to tell with so many various markets around the world. Thanks for the feedback about how things are up there in the UK! 😎👍🍻
Love the watch, Im very tempted! 😢😊❤
Just managed to acquire one today off my online dealer in UK. They are receiving two pieces a month from Tudor, I’m guessing bigger retail based dealers maybe receive substantially more than that.
I received mine before my AD got back from Watches and Wonders. I received the first one. So far very good.
The bracelet looks amazing
Its super comfy too! The T-fit clasp has been a game changer for the Tudor lineup imo. 😎👍🍻
Bought one today in Vegas at Bucherer. Got the silicone strap.
This is also the release I want. I’ll need to make my way over to my AD. I assume the wait will be long. I’ve heard others report AD’s saying July or after already.
Yeah I’ve heard that too but I’m seeing lots of comments that they are getting them relatively quickly! Good luck 😎🍀🤞
Great video and congrats man ❤#tudorbros
Thanks Miguel! #tudorbros for life, my man! 😎🙌
@@DavidSchwartzjr Also congrats on the 10 year wedding anniversary, huge milestone!
I got mine at bucherer 3 days ago❤ also the only one they had at the time
Awesome! Congrats! I am sure there are lots of people asking about them and window shopping but to get the last one, not knowing how long before they get more in, you definitely got lucky. It was meant to be! 😎👍🍻
Not a big fan of Tudor, but this model i love!!!
Congrats🎉 great watch. I have the burgundy version with jubilee and rubber.
Thanks! And Grats on yours as well! How is the comfort level on that strap? I really want to pick one up soon! Cheers!
@@DavidSchwartzjr Comfort is good. Not as good as jubilee but gives the watch a very cool sporty look. A must have IMO.
I love the look.
However I’m holding out for this exact watch in blue.
I hope I get my wish.
That would be amazing! Especially if they were to combine the old vintage MN style versions in blue in this case/movement configuration. I hope you get your wish as well! I would probably sell my Pelagos Blue if that ends up happening as well! 😎👍🍻
Would love one with a date and a cyclops and the same META certification-- but I know rolex will never let that happen.
Will the jubilee bracelet from this watch work on the 41mm chronograph?
Picked one up on rubber as dont like faux rivets and Ill get a Jubilee bracelet when they beome available on the second hand market.
Your wife must be over the moon with your new watch
jealousy will get you know where. Or..... projection much? Choose which ever one fits you best.
Absolutely love this watch, cracking video as always bro😀👍 would have to save long and hard for this one but it looks awesome 😎 just bought a zodiac but I'm looking for something big now,you never know😂
Thanks man! And that’s amazing on your zodiac pickup! Congrats! I miss my Zodiac Super Sea wolf. I think I sold it to fund some business equipment so I may have to re-buy one someday haha. Hope you’re doing well!
@@DavidSchwartzjr yeah I'm really happy with it 😀
great video! thank you! just a suggestion and i hope you don't get offended by it. I hear a lot of Pop sounds. you should get a pop filter for the mic to reduce or eleminate them.
Thanks, yes, I def need a pop filter and I also was way to close to the mic so I’ll do better on the next one for sure! I appreciate the feedback 😎👍
I went to my local AD in Los Angeles to buy it but they don't have it yet. They say maybe mid June, bummer. No wait list or anything like that. We'll see what happens.
Lol; good to know. I would say, a little imperfection will make it more perfect. Great content. Shalom, aka Mr Valjoux
Great watch for those that crave a modern Submariner but dont want to shell out too many clams.
Sub date is worth the extra coin. But this makes a great value proposition. Perfect as a weekend beater.
Right on! 😎👍🍻
Is this supposed to be a flex? 😅
HEY #nkuwan I have been watching you for years and im so proud of where you have made it! I love you so much! Also thanks for making my day
I am on a list waiting for a shipment at my local Mayors Jewelry in Florida
Excellent, I hope it arrives soon!! Congrats on the upcoming purchase! 😎🙌
Do you know the price of the rubber strap?
I walked into my AD expecting to buy an FXD and they had this in there the Saturday after watches & wonders. Bought the 3 link immediately and have been absolutely loving it.
I’m waiting to see it in person. I wish the bezel was matt ceramic. Way better than aluminium in my view.
I hear ya, the fact we're getting ceramic on $100 watches these days, it would have been preferred, but I am certain Rolex said no to that, since it would really put it even closer in specs to the sub. When you see the aluminum in person though, I think you will be surprised. It looks good in various lighting 😎👍🍻
@@DavidSchwartzjr Yes, I’m sure you’re right about the Rolex veto. It is a very good looking watch though. If you’ve tried on the Rolex Sun, would you say this wears smaller or the same size?
Got mine about 3 weeks ago.. still cant get my eyes off it
it really is Boss!
What's better than buying YOURSELF something nice, to celebrate an anniversary? Well played sir.
I want it ❤
got it 👍
Awesome! Enjoy it man! 😎👍
My Next Watch
Awesome! Plus, it's a strap monster! ruclips.net/video/5-u6-Eylm7c/видео.htmlsi=V5BnPIvzHTDqEE7r
How Does this watch compare to the Omega SMP??
This is a dead ringer for my father in laws older black submariner. I showed it to him and he thought it was the same watch.
Very cool!! I have a feeling that if Tudor had put "Submariner" text on the dial, made these a limited edition, and tossed them on a brushed bracelet without the rivets, it would have broken the internet. I am hesitant to call this the Tudor sub, but reading your comment, I think many people probably will and for good reasons.
@@DavidSchwartzjralso if they made it 39mm with a 20mm lug width.. man we can dream lol
I was able to pick up the 3 link on Monday. It was the 1st and only one they had. Considering purchasing the 5 link bracelet, the AD quoted me $975. Do you think the 5 link makes it a little too formal for everyday wear?
Don't need the 5 link, it's a divers watch, it needs the oyster.
Congrats on your new Tudor! I would not say that the 5-link makes it too formal for everyday wear. It is the more "formal" looking if you were to suit up for example, but I've been rocking this 5-link with a t-shirt and jeans just fine. If anything, the high gloss dial and super shiny bezel of the Rolex Submariner would look more formal on this bracelet than with the muted bezel and dial of the Tudor.
Looking forward to trying it on but as l already have a Submariner 124060, after selling my Pelagos 39 and FXD MN21, if l were to get back into Tudor, l’d be the BB54.
If you do end up purchasing both the rubber and 3-link options, that is gonna total 30% the cost of the watch. You're looking at least $1500 from tudor direct just for more strap options.
Yeah, I got quoted by Tudor on those both but since this is an anniversary gift, I know that I’ll never sell or trade this piece so I like the idea of getting the various straps to enjoy throughout my life with this watch. To me it’s still a worthwhile purchase 😊
They won't charge you 1.5k for the rubber. I paid 800 bucks last year from Tudor Boutique for the Ranger Bracelet to fit my BB58.
That is brilliant! Congratulations! and great video.
Thanks so much Norm! I really appreciate you! 😎👍🍻
@@DavidSchwartzjr Absolutely! 🍸🍸
With you having a 7.25-inch wrist, did you ever feel the watch was a bit too small? I’m accustomed to wearing a 45mm Seiko Turtle, so a little worried this could feel too small. My wrist is roughly the same size.
Its definitely a preference thing, in terms of wearability, the measurements will fit just fine on your wrist since we have the same sized wrist. But what could take some getting used to visually is the size difference of the dial portion and bezel. I also have a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms (45mm) so going from that to this one its going to look "small" but its actually balanced nicely I'd say. Readability on this is also still very good at the smaller dial size. I would recommend to actually get one on the wrist in person and you'll see what I mean. 😎👍🍻
@@DavidSchwartzjr Thanks for the reply. I have a feeling I'll get used to the 40-41mm size pretty quickly and then prefer it to 45mm. I tried on a Pelagos 39 a few weeks ago and liked the size, even though it's small in comparison to my Turtle. Hopefully I can try on the monochrome sometime soon.
Absolutely stunning, but not the 5 link sorry. That's just weird on a diver watch. The 3 link on the other hand is amazing.
I do love the look of the 3-link and it def gives the closest appearance to the submariner look, I'm curious if Tudor has a 3-link without the rivets on the sides that would fit on this watch. 🧐
I e had the BB in house model in the past but frankly I think the Royal is the better watch. I’ve learned over time after many luxury watches. Comfort is paramount.
I'm on 3 waiting lists and hopefully have one in process but waiting to hear back from the dealer. Very frustrating.
Wow three lists I’m hoping you get a call soon! Thanks for the update!
@@DavidSchwartzjr Got one! Arrived today. Wempe in NYC.
I was offered one immediately, wasn't able to make it in to get it, looking forward to trying one on, love how the burgundy wore.
That is great to hear that they are offering them without waits! I'm sure you'll get another opportunity soon! 😎👍🍻
How much are the 3 link & rubber band if you were to purchase then separately?
When I called the AD and asked the lady I spoke to wouldn't give me exact numbers, I'm guessing there may be some flexibility to ask for a discount perhaps, but the ballpark I was given was between $450-600 for the rubber strap and clasp, and around $850 for the 3-link. I'll do an update vid once I actually go and pay for them to let y'all know.
Do Tudor release the other bans separately? I'm really wanting to buy the one with the rubber strap but at the same time I also want the 5-link Jubilee :(
Yes they will I think, I’d recommend you buy it on the 5 link and get the rubber strap and clasp separately. Because the 5 link is definitely going to be a more expensive bracelet to buy than the rubber
Yes, my AD confirmed you can buy the bracelets separately they either would have them available at the time or order them in which can take a few weeks. I would second what @H_tudor said, buy it on the 5-link and order the rubber strap secondary. The cost of the 5-link is going to be around $850-$1K from what I've been told and the rubber strap with the clasp will be around $450-600.
@@DavidSchwartzjr sweet sounds good! thanks again guys :)
Meanwhile im still on the waitinglist for the BB54...
Aww man, hang in there! I know a gentleman who was on a wait for his BB54 for a while and just recently picked his up from his AD a couple weeks back. I got to see it in the metal and it’s definitely worth the wait! I hope you get the call soon 😎🤞🍀
Call around. My AD in Boston has had one in the case available for purchase every time I've visited the last 2 months.
In what country? I just bought one brand new with warranty for under MSRP.
Try another AD
You should be able to get one
Tudor should change their slogan to ‘Giving the people what they want’
This is the jubilee sub many wanted, but 41mm is a tough pill to swallow. Should have been formatted as a BB58 as well considering the previous Rolex and Tudor Submariner format was 39.5mm
Yeah, I can see where you're coming from, but really it does not wear like any other 41mm watches that I have. I do plan on doing a comparison side by side with my Tudor BB41 heritage model and you will see how much smaller this one wears with the smaller dial and bezel layout.
It wears more like a 40mm and it's slimmer. Go see one before you make a decision.
Does the bracelet pull your arm hairs? The jubilee bracelet of my DJ36 does 😢
Luckily I have experienced zero hair pulling with this watch. Super comfy and zero pinching or hair pulling. Sorry to hear about the DJ having that problem
Always been my issue with the Jubilee styles - I personally prefer this look on the Oyster anyway - sleek/modeen/elegant minimalism - the Jubilee is a bit too 'jewelry' IMHO for this watch...
Called two ADs in Paris the day after release and I haven't heard from them. I have no purchase history in either ..
Still debating whether I want this watch or should wait for a blue one ...
Yeah, they did release the blue BB58 so I think there stands a chance to get this one in blue someday as well! I didn't have purchase history with my AD, so don't let that discourage you, it seems from comments I'm reading these are more available than not so far. Cheers! 😎👍🍻
@@DavidSchwartzjr So I actually got the call this morning, on my way to pick it up 😵
The M7941A1A0NU, on the Oyster-style bracelet, is a far better option. It just looks cheap on the Jubilee knock-off.
Oh okay, is that the one you own? The oyster style version?
You bought yourself a watch for being married for 10 years. Any excuse to buy another watch 😅
lol yup! Bought one at 5 years to celebrate too but the wifey is definitely getting herself something nice as well 😅
*I got offered 4 of these and the burgundy from 3 ADs and 4 Cokes I turned all down. Inventory issues and wait-list? Here is your answer. How do I know? My best friend is my SA for Tudor and Rolex believe it or not. I came to see both he told me they got a shipment with 10 watches of each, monochrome and GMT, so if an AD tells you it's hard to get they're lying, he told me they're trained to create artificial demand to drive sales but my friend actually has good character. Good luck you can get this easy in a day or a week at most they'll be throwing it at you.*
I want it in 39mm 😢
I swear the happiness I feel when #nkuwan uploads a video is beyond!!!!
Tudor should offer an alternative with a date. Would it hurt? No. Will they do it? Highly unlikely…
I would bet if they do, it will be like other models and omit any magnification cyclops on the glass.
The 21mm lugs really is an inconvenience.
I prefer Nato and Sailcloth, and all my high-quality straps are 20mm
Yup! It’s gonna be a bitter pill to swallow but I know the straps I have planned for this watch are gonna be 🔥🔥🔥!
@@DavidSchwartzjr post an update when you do. ♥️
@@kabal911 will do! 😎🙌
Shame the bracelet doesn’t match the watch, I can’t look past that tbh. Surely they could’ve got that part correct?
Beautiful. But i see another Tudor with a bezel that does not line up 100% perfectly
Wow, that watch was meant for your wrist
Thanks haha, your comment has me thinking how women have their fairytale of the slipper fitting, I’m over here slipping on the perfect Tudor watch 😅
Thickness 13.4? I thought they reduced thicknes on a new model.
Yes, the other Black Bay cases with bezels (think of the GMT for example) are 14.6mm thick. It definitely wears thinner than you might think but worth a try on first if you’re on the fence about it.
I was under the impression it is 12.8. Maybe check
My AD said 6 months.
Wow! Yeah, that is one of the longer timelines I've heard about so far. Hopefully they get them much sooner. Thanks for sharing! 😎👍🍻
Picked it up for 10 years with the wife LMFAO What an excuse LoL
I like it though I'll have to use that for an excuse to purchase a watch in the future 😂😂
Haha works every time! 🤫
I got a 15 year anniversary with the wife this May it sounds like I may purchase the Tudor Monochrome if I can find one at my AD
These do look good but I don’t know how I feel about spending 5k on what Rolex itself branded as a poor mans Rolex
Idk man I can care less about the branding and I just picked up a dd40 and I’m still considering this watch.
Only thing that throws me off is the pho rived on the oyster style bracelet wish it wasn’t there cuz I just can’t see myself getting a jubilee on anything other than a Rolex but non the less I’ve been obsessing on this thing since it dropped and would love to have a Tudor to beat up
Meh… sub means oyster bracelet to me.
This one also comes in a oyster style 3-link bracelet. 😎👍
💯 this watch does not belong on a jubilee.
Traditional looks-I agree with you. But Tudor’s new 5 link is sooo much more comfortable than the 3 link. I got it on last years red bezel 41. It was my first jubilee style bracelet and I’m really surprised at how much more comfortable it is.
The Tudor is a good alternative to the Sub with an excellent quality-price ratio, but I fear that like other Tudors, its resale value decreases over time, unlike Rolex.
I have 2 Tudor BB 58, blue and black, and the market value has dropped significantly. For this reason I hesitate to buy another one and would prefer a Rolex if I could get one...
The right mode Tudor holds its value quite well. They take a hit when you initially buy it new, then they level out. Rolex also takes an initial hit and then levels out before appreciating over a long time period. Tudor does the same thing.
I wish I could have one but I'm poor and can't have one but I'm still going to get a plastic watch 😔⌚
Not bad, but 21mm lugs. Damn.
90% of the comments are telling everyone when and where they bought theirs. Begs the question, why are you all watching a review for a watch you allegedly already own?
I can't speak for everyone else, but you have to remember, the comments are just a fraction of the view count for this video. I also asked in the video for feedback from people about their experience obtaining this watch. I watch videos of watches I have as love to get other peoples opinions or see if they point out something I didn't yet notice. I still watch videos on the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms despite being an owner of it for some time now. Also, unless you have a loupe handy, you can't get up close to the finer details of the watch without a macro lens. My video is short, talks about some of the pros and cons, hence the "honest" portion of my title.
I'm trying to decide why Iike this watch particularly, and Tudor generally, so much more than the equivalent Rolex offerings. I have a date sub, but I think I like this more. Why is that? Is it because it's the new thing? I think it's because it reminds me so much of the early 1980s Submariner that my father had. I love the aluminum bezel. I love the METAS certification. I love that it flies under the radar. And I love that it's not pretentious. I can't stand the AD dance where you have to jump through their hoops and justify yourself to them. I have the money, guys, sell me the watch. But I also wonder whether if this scratches the itch if it's a Submariner itch. I suspect not. As a stand-in for what you REALLY want, don't think this does it. But dammit, I think I like this better...
Disappointed they didnt use matte ceramic. Bit of a cost cut
This feels like an AI generated content manufactured by marketing. Not a single human uhm or false start on a sentence. Humans are not this perfect in their speech!!
I mean haven’t you seen his other videos ?? Where he SHOWS his face and talks to us ? 🤦🏻♂️🤣
I definitely take this comment as a huge compliment! I did write out a script for this based on my thoughts of the watch and believe me the raw video and audio is full of pauses, stutters, and "uhhs" lol. But yes, I wanted to offer something clear and concise; if I could have AI make my vids, life would be so much more simple, haha. Cheers, Vman!
Why do people have to change the strap on high end watches, it makes no sense and scratches up to watch
Fair point, I can't speak for others, but for me it is a way to give the watch a fresh look, also it can minimize damage to the bracelets when I knowingly am going to be doing activities with a high damage risk. I don't sell most of my watches and I take extreme care with swapping bracelets and straps so my scratch potential is very low, personally.
A watch is meant to be used and enjoyed, not overly protected and coddled.
Too thick without a date function even. Why isn’t anyone commenting on this??
This is too close to the 124060 in looks. Just buy the Rolex.
