People always forget the C32 AMG, the 3.2L has a nice low pitch sound to it, kinda opposite the S5 with its higher pitch, almost VQ sound Great video as always JB, thanks! 😁
Surprised the golf r32 isnt in there Had a mk v and loved it, went through way more petrol than i should have just to listen to the exhaust noise, especially through tunnels
US MKIV R32 owner here, they sound sound amazing but I don't know if you are able to find them for the prices in the video(especially in the U.K). That being said they also had the Golf Highline with had the 2.8 VR6 24V as well as the Bora (Jetta in the U.S.).
@@lazarushernandez5827 you can get them for under 10k, loved my R32, regretted selling mine almost instantly, road tax for them was steep though £520 or £540 per year when i had mine, even dearer now
Wow - I love the sound of my 350z but the 3L v6 Busso sounds and looks better. My Spider is only a 2L twin spark as in the Spider the v6 is too powerful / heavy and hinders handling through scuttleshake, it’s much better suited to the more ridged GTV.
The V6 Mazda MX-3, MX-6 and 323F/Lantis sound absolutely insane if you can find one off them and are very reliable.... The MX-3 had one off the smallest V6 engines ever produced at 1.8L capacity....and screams its, gutts out to 8000 rpm..
Thanks JB. I did wonder if you would choose an S5. Even with the roof down you will not hear the SC whine as it has a silencer on it & will need a type of induction kit on it (next upgrade for me). When you are in manual mode & shift down it automatically gives you the heal-toe changedown & if you change up from 1st to 2nd at 3000 rpm you get a little growl. I love it! It's a practical convertible with 4 seats, reasonable baggage room & if driven with some reserve (unlikely) will give decent MPG. All the best............
A couple more Alfas to consider if anyone is after a V6 - the GT 3.2 and the 156 GTA are both great cars. I owned a GT 3.2 for a few years and it is a real head turner. I would advise a professional inspection on a ramp for either of these cars though, as the floor pans and sills can be an issue.
If you are good with your hands and have a three-cylinder engined car, you can actually add a sports exhaust to it. It'll sound like a mini 6 cylinder and the money is only required for the exhaust & fitment 😁😁
Could we do a junior executive car or small family cars under 15k e.g 3 series a4, 1 series A class, 308, Kia Optima, c class etc…. Whether you create a video based on these suggestions or not…. I love the content bro, very informative genuinely love it mate.
Bro I love the GTA maan lol. I remember I wanted one soo baad when I was a ute boy lol. They look super sick in the flesh. Bro I think I'm just a out n out v6 guy, they all sound sick maan. Another Wicked video bro👊🏿👌🏿💪🏿.
I run a mercedes CLK280 3.0 V6. Discreet until the loud pedal get hit, fantastic tune. Can pick 1 up for less that 4K on Maybe a 55 plate. Prices start at about 2K for an older model, but watch out for tin worm on anything 2004 previous.
Amazing, my personal pick would probably be the ST220 from this top 5 though to be honest as it seems like the most reliable and practical one you can get outside of an older Vauxhall Vectra or similar V6 saloon. Otherwise probably the Audi S5 in convertible spec, which is also a pretty awesome car in my opinion
I have a Audi A3 with 3.2 V6 the same as in Golf R32 and i payed for it 2600 € or 2300 Pounds. Naturally aspirated engine with 250hp, 4wd and manual. the reason for low price is over 400k km but that in nothing for this engine. It's the best sounding V6 in my opinion
Favourite sounding V6 is easy: 2GR. Bias because it's in the GS450h, but it sounds best in the Evora (GT410/430 especially). The 147 GTA is a car that I love. I have huge respect for anyone who owns one...but you'd have to be properly insane to actually buy one 😄 I have a very simple benchmark for any car: would it cost more to run than my porker. If yes, buy Porsche instead. If you're going lower on price, don't limit yourself to the V- you can't have a BMW or Porsche then! Must be able to get a flat 6 Boxster or I6 BMW or some kind for £5k. Complex and painful to make video idea: X cars for Y money, but accounting for total ownership costs. Would be incredibly good consumer advice- it's the calculation I did for my Porsche, since sure it was £30k to buy but 2 years later it's up for sale at £30k so I reckon accounting for every penny leaving my account it's been cheaper than anything on this list.
Pulled the trigger and bought my first car in over 20 years. ( I live next to the transit)but, I bought a 2008 Mk5 VW R32 . It's my only daily, has under 50k ,and boy does it sound good. The only sound that's better is me laughing when I keep seeing the value go up....laughing to the bank...someday. Come on Chewy RRRRRRRWL.!
I've got an Alfa 156 v6 which can be bought for under $5000 USD. It has the same engine as the 147 GTA (the busso v6) but with only 2.5L of displacement. Same epic sound, but for cheaper! :D
Slightly Biased as I own one…. But cant believe the slk 350 (r171) remains overlooked. Massively underrated. Quick beautiful… let down by a slightly tardy interior. A must On the under 5k list.

5k v6 for sure
V10!
Ahhh maan, it's a tough one, I think V10s bro. 5k V6's would be sick still.
5k v6 for sure
Both!
Personal favourite I owned was Mk V Golf R32. I had a manual but the DSG would do crazy sounds on overrun through a tunnel!
Straight 6 not a V6 though isn't it? I've got the A3 version of it with a DSG, sounds great in the Blackwall Tunnel but the R32 sounds better.
@@corleth2868 its VR6.. its 95% like a V6 but just way smaller since the pistons are not at such an angle..

Such a great noise!
Peugeot 406, 3.0 V6 coupe. Such an underrated and now extremely rare car.

I personally always like the sound of the old ford Essex V6 when tuned right, like in the 3.0s Capri

Best looking and sounding V6 is that Busso. Magic.
