      True but sometimes even if you are an addict and depressed you’ve got to get out there, walks or bike rides, any form of exercise in your free time and focusing on something you are good at. I’m not happy a lot off the time because I have a problem with alcohol and other issues but I still force myself to exercise and socialise because it’s beneficial. If you spend all your life eating junk and staying in bed your not really helping yourself 🤨🗣

      @@j.c7719 sure, it's obviously good for those with depression to push themselves or sometimes be pushed to get moving, but you obviously have not had severe depression. It's debilitating!

    She seems very grounded for a meth addict. Most of the other meth addicts on this channel seem scattered and quite out of touch with reality, but she is remarkably level headed and coherent. If I didn't already know it, I wouldn't even suspect she had an addiction. I truly hope she can get clean

    • @xxBlueCinnamonxx
      @xxBlueCinnamonxx 2 года назад +23

      She likely has ADHD. I’m assuming because she mentions she was a lazy child, that crystal helps her get things done and care about her appearance, and generally people with ADHD tend towards smoking and drugs to find that dopamine we lack. I always joke that I essentially take legal meth (Adderall) to treat my ADHD. But watching this I can only imagine if I had grown up in her life, unknowingly struggling with my condition, searching for that dopamine, and in that environment? It’s not surprising. She’s treating her condition in a sense finally, but it took her a while to get there and sadly it’s really not in a great way.

      @Nadia Galactica could you potentially have ADHD and were never diagnosed? Women tend to be diagnosed later in life. I wasn’t diagnosed until I turned 25 last year. ADHD is a lot more complex than you see in the media and it took a lot education from my psychiatrist to help me understand and accept that I did in fact have this. I thought I had depression and anxiety but those were a result of the distress caused by my poor executive functioning.

      @Jasmin Flower Exercise . . . Keep yourself moving with purpose, accountability, and discipline. Having a purpose is big. I've had and do have my issues with depression. I've been surrounded by drugs all of my life, but aside from the curious experimentation with Marijuana, LSD, psilocybin, and a taste of cocaine in the late eighties, I have stayed away from drugs knowing that the temporary hardwiring of the brain has catastrophic effects. And sex is a beneficial way to boost dopamine, but you should be healthy all around.

      Out in Hawaii you see this often. 1 in every 20 meth heads out here can actually speak to you coherently and may even be living a “normal life” (has a job, a house, and a family). However, these people generally bring meth into their families, so while they may be doing well, they’re children or siblings are homeless and lost.

    Natives suffer from what I would call “generational sin and disease” stemming from when the Europeans came and completely destroyed their life and culture. But knowing this, it’s important for all Native people to bring the disease and disorder to light, and learn to love ourselves. (I am Southern Ute from Colorado.) End the generations of illness, addiction, incest, abuse, hopelessness, suicide by doing whatever it takes to better your life. We could be such a strong people, but instead we are abject and defeated. My heart hurts for Native women who are in the lowest position in the community, and their children, neglected and abused. Thank you Mark for raising awareness. Now let us Indian people restore our relationship to the Creator and heal our disease. Break free.

      If a person is heavily traumatised and in such emotional pain then suicide becomes a rational way to stop it. Although drugs are hardly a healthy choice they provide an immediate recourse to manage that particular anguish at that particular time. Drugs, alcohol do indeed save lives or make life manageable until some other recovery programs can intervene. It's hard for anyone who hasn't been in such a desperate situation to imagine that drugs, alcohol can save a person from suicide.

I remember both of them sending my brother and I to the corner market many times with a note to procure their poison. I watch tons of Marks videos and similar ones on other channels, why do addicts continue to have children? Having one child I can understand being hopeful that parenthood can change a person’s whole life and encourage sobriety. If one child turns out to be a difficult responsibility or taken by the authorities why have more? Adoption is a great option that could eliminate tons of trauma. I try to be empathetic to all the stories I hear and could never relate to but I’m disturbed when the stories involve children. The generational abuse and trauma needs to end.

She said goodbye to that daughter yrs ago when doctors said she wouldn't live &so she left then the daughter showed up a grown woman yrs later to tragically end up murdered ,it probably felt like she'd already said goodbye yrs previous. My mum used to take my beatings for me 😭. I'm glad she got to know and recognise genuine love from her grandpa, but I wonder why her mum chose abusers for husbands if her dad, Edwina's grandpa was so good? You weren't lazy, you were depressed and lacking vitality. Sorry your son passed away. Poor woman lost her daughter. Molestation at grade 1 - 4yrs old must have been awful. Respect to Edwina for admitting she failed her kids and glad she is talking to them now. Hope she gets off the meth. Crystal may seem like its saving your life, it will steal your soul eventually like all other meth addicts. I hope she can get to the root of her issues which make her do drugs. I used to take speed (UK base) and thought it was good at first but it soon turned bad. You still have morals and give yourself positive self talk, please find help to get off meth and make the most of that little spark inside of you. This may well bring you closer to your kids. Sorry about the ones you lost, yeah, you made mistakes but you still have a spark, don't let drugs snuff it out forever.
