What are your thoughts on growing Cauliflower in 3-gallon pots? I just planted 5 plants yesterday. I'm now wondering if I may have done the wrong thing?
I'm so excited to see these very detailed video's again. You can never over simplify your instructions for us beginners. I've got so many of your video's saved to my play list. AND I AM REALLY GROWING MYSELF SOME FOOD. God bless you and Nancy for teaching me how to do this and get wonderful results.
reaping the rewards of all your hard work making your homestead so beautiful. That has been so enjoyable to watch you do your pro planting then driving to the next station to complete the process there! It is great to see BingBing riding along & for his safety riding in the wagon with you! Thank you Hollis & Nancy for this video...it was wonderful! hugs to all three of you...Judie
I just stumbled upon your channel 3 days ago when I was looking for a Start to Finish tutorial on potatoes. I have since subbed and watched several hours of your content. You 2 are such lovely people and I wish I could learn all these wonderful things in person. Everytime I watch something new, I feel like a 5 year old learning from their grandpa. This is such an amazing channel and I can't wait to watch every since video and learn as much as I can so I can build and grow my own garden. Much love from Texas!
Homestead Homies!! 😂👍 Sounds like a t-shirt I'd buy and wear! I had one pak choy plant, and it bolted like Jack's beanstalk. Glad for this good advice! I'm surprised that birds didn't eat your seedlings. You could always install bird netting around your seed starting structures. Great results; beautiful plants! Thank you!
Good video presentation how to grow purple bok choy in container, beautiful garden decoration, thanks for sharing to us such amazing informative and educational
I love the gardening progression videos! Those purple bokchoy were beautiful!! Thanks so much for all your hard work making the videos for us to enjoy and learn from!!
It is very nice to watch a video from beginning all the way up to the end and witness the progression. Truly appreciate what you Hollis and Nancy and Bing Bing appearance every now and then;) Blessings to you all.
Thank you for going step by step from seed to pot. I am seeing the mistakes I am making and will correct them. Thank you for always doing such a great job of explaining everything.
thank you for all your videos, i have been a earth gardner since i was born and we are in between houses and all off your container videos help us out alot thank you.
I have never seen purple bok choy prior to your video. Absolutely beautiful! I would be really interested in seeing Miss Nancy produce a video of her soup recipe.
Excellent❗❗❗ Start to finish, 1)starter mix, 2)plant mix, 3)proper amendment for type of plant, 4)when to plant and why, (fall plant or spring plant). Only thing left out was average days to maturity. Not being critical. In Maine, it's a short growing season at best, and frost dates are by design fickle! BUT, I just looked up a similar variety from Johnny's Seed and was surprised to see 21 days mini, 45 days full maturity. Might order some seed tonight. 😊 NOW, if ya can just do about 40-50 more of these for different varieties of plants......... No pressure my friend❗❗ LOL 👍👍👍 (oh, and a bowl of Nancy's) 😋😋 TYFS, Stay Safe and Well Mark and Rosa
I just ate some delicious Bok Cho grown by my sweet sister-in-law here in Chicago which she grew in her backyard garden following your growing instructions exactly. The results were perfect! Thank you for sharing your priceless green thumb knowledge with the world. We are truly feeling 'blessed'.
I planted purple bok Chou for the first time this year in the spring/summer. No problem with it at until it got too hot. Very tasty. Now I’m going to plant it again as apart if my fall garden. 🥒
I really appreciate how u have from seed to harvest in 1 video! Very complete and well explained!! Ty I’d love to see some videos of Nancy making her recipes with book choi and everything else u grow!
Hollis I really enjoy your videos. You have been an inspiration as I attempt to grow food. I must ask though. The quantities that you plant seem overwhelming for 2 people. Can you speak to how you determine how much of each vegetable you will plant? Do you keep all that you plant? Do you give away or sell a portion? Thank you
Tom Stepp I’ve heard them say in previous videos that they give away a lot of their produce to family and friends. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if they donated to charities as well. These two seem like really generous folks.
Hollis and Nancy, your videos bless me. Hollis, I followed your planting instructions with my peppers this year and was rewarded with bountiful harvests. I am looking to grow bok choy this fall. I am hoping it will do well. Thank you for your sweet lives and your commitment to teach folks how to garden, and to be thankful to God who blesses us abundantly!
Cool. I tried with mini bok choy and purple bok as well. The mini bok came out great. The purple ones did not turn out well. I will try again adding blood meal . 👍
I love your videos. I love the way we can see the entire process of planting to harvesting and not have to have to wait for another video. A suggestion - insert a picture of a dish Nancy prepared.
Great video! I've been looking for a growing guide that shows the whole process from seedling to harvest. Thank you for taking the time to make such a high quality video!
I said look around your acres I thank God that he giving you the strength to do such beautiful work everything looks so beautiful thank God for you and Nancy keep up the good work love you
Big fan. Thanks for these videos. A suggestion, consider adding dates to the cuts so we can get a better idea of how many time has passed. I know you say, a week, three weeks but dates would be awesome (or even relative dates: 30 days in, 90 days in, etc)
I just want to say thank you for using your GOD's given talents and sharing them with all of us. I love your videos, I am a newbie with the same dream you once had. GOD BLESS YOU.
I purchased regular Bok Choy plants yesterday from the farm store. They didn’t have purple Bok Choy. Can I use the same soil that you are using for the purple? Would I just follow these instructions for the regular Bok Choy? I watched your cabbage planting videos and now I have cabbages planted in buckets and my husband made me a grow stand for the buckets. I am really getting into this. Too bad lumber prices have risen so much😳😀. I am planting my fall garden in containers this year. Last year, I didn’t plant anything. I am about 3 hours north of you so our climate is close. I really enjoy your and Nancy’s channel.
Hi Hollis and Nancy thanks for taking us along the path to growing bok choy in containers but you left my wife and I wondering what Nancy was going to make with the two you harvested!! Thanks for all the guidance anyway.
Thank you Hollis. I'm used to seeing you plant with fish and lime dust. Can you share when you use fish, when blood meal, and what other supplements you incorporate?
Love your videos. I live in Alabama so when should I start my fall seedling. It is still in the 90s. Waiting to here from you. I have some bok choy seeds. God bless you and Mrs. Nancy. Bye!!
Oh my Gosh did you say Nancy makes Kim chi with it.!!! I love it but the sweet lady I used to buy it from passed on. Now I am stuck eating store bought and that is never the same as homemade. I have tried to make it but I must be doing it wrong. She should make a video on how she makes it and teach us/me.
What a Beauty! the Purple Bok Choy looks gorgeous .. I hope I can find a seeds of those beauties and have my own container bok choy veg. Thanks for sharing .. God Bless you guys
Hollis. an Nancy enjoyed this one to this 67 yr old can't wait to see. the tomatoes u make good tomater sands I got got. store. or farmers market they not as good as home grown
Thanks for your videos which I came across by chance. Enjoyed them very much. Just wonder if you reuse the soils for planting straight away after harvesting, or do you treat them first before reusing them.
Thanks for this video. Was looking for fertilizer to use on my baby pak and boks ! Blood meal and I have some. Think I used Bone meal in the beginning. Thank again. Out to add !

Started bok choy and swiss chard seed at beginning of September.Gonna have to find the purple one.
