I think you went over everybodys head, Kid you got it, people that reconize talent are leaving this world. Keep those tones alive, you capture the heart and soul, the pain and love in Trowers song, you bring it alive. You do this with many songs. We know who brought it. James Bell laid it down. My hat is off to you.
Well, well, well young man. You have brought Robin Trower back to life; bright youth back into his music and you have so done Robin Trower proud!! Thank you!!!!! If you're ever in Your in England, there's a ton of us who'd like to come to your gig!!!
I've been a Trower fan since early 80s. I've never heard anyone coming close to his tone and style until now. Awesome cover James. Damn! Wrong audience there maybe :)
What an amazing talent for someone so young. Why is this kid not making albums already? Look at Quinn Sullivan, barely out of high school and already on his 3rd or 4th album? This kid can go places most can only dream of. Keep up the great work dude.
James, I think you're one of my favorite guitarists. On this video, you've proven you can get close to Trower's tone on a Gibson. This is very tasty, overall and quite mind-blowing. I'm confident that soon you'll be playing for audiences that appreciate you infinitely more than this crowd. Or...maybe they were just dumbstruck by your playing.
Texas Muddog..hiya UK Frank Marino mahogany rush now we're talking!...have all his music.. this kid is something else guitarist....robin trower is my fav guitarist in UK he's 72 now still rocking...
WoW so much to say about this and its all good not only has he nailed it to the Mast and made it his own. For a young head to even think and feel the guitar like this is amazing, great work we now have a new guitar God to worship.
great job!....and your tone is sweet.....Trower is one of my favorite guitarists...ive seen him live 3 times over the years...the first time was like 1975 at Shea Stadium. he did most of the bridge of sighs album...it was awesome...u should have been there...and join hiim on stage...God bless U and I wish u much success in the future.
Amazing I am glad some one in the new generation gets the genius of Trower. Fantastic playing you nailed it going to see Trower in april can wait. I would to here a little bit of sympathy or victims of the fury.
When I saw this I thought to myself "James has got it made" With all the practice from when you were really young has paid off for you now. There you are on your own with no backup and looking so professional in front of an audience proves that you WILL make it to the top. Artists are found in the strangest ways and one day someone will tap you on the shoulder and have a word that will just get that break. I am so proud to have followed you for quite a while now. :-)
Robin Trower is one of my all-time favorites. My nephew, now 42, also a killer guitarist, was born on Robin's 26th birthday. I hadn't heard of Robin. My sister gave me the BRIDGE OF SIGHS album, which I still have in pristine condition, in June 1975, when I was 14. I nearly fell off of my chair when the intro to "Day of the Eagle" blasted out of the speakers. There's even a Trower Avenue in my native Napa, California. You killed it (as usual) on this cover. I'm so impressed. Keep rocking, man.
Look at the people in that room. I would have loved to be present for that privilege to see an up and coming artist. Of course now he's a 9 year's older. Great job!
Great job. No wait, fantastic job! I was about your age when this album came out which was also when I started playing guitar. We (the band I'm currently in) do this song but it took me decades before I was good enough to play it. You are WAY BEYOND where most of us guitar players were at your age. Stay humble and keep honing your craft my friend.
You must be close to my age: I turned 13 in March 1974, nine days after Trower's 29th birthday. One of my nephews was born on Robin's 26th birthday in my native Napa, California, which has a Trower Avenue.
Exceptional talent here. Would even go as far to say inspirational. Would love to know where the backing tracks come from and if they are available for download or purchase.
Extremely impressive, regardless of your age. I would love to hear you blaze through Jimi Hendrix's "Voodoo Child (slight return). Keep up the good work! It gives us hope for the future of music that not all teens are only into rap or pop.
Ronnie unc bug The axe sure don't know how old you are, don't care. Refreshing to see you carrying the torch. You have alot of natural ability. Obviously.
Thank you!! It helps that it was coil-tapped. If you like my playing in this ...you might also like my latest two albums on bandcamp - jamesbell.bandcamp.com/
Its 2020 I know this is a few years old. No matter I saw a more recent video of you and you're absolutely still the sh*t. Great young guitarist. James I grew up learning from M Schenker "strangers in the night" I'm 57 former six string gunslinger (basically retired) but loving all you're stuff. Its great to see you doin' it for real. You are a badas* guitarist carry on young man. (loved the 14 yr old outdoor "Lights Out" blazing rendition) Peace James.
Thank you! As you like this you might enjoy checking out some of my original music that is very Trower influenced! Hope you enjoy it if you check it out! Thanks again! jamesbell.bandcamp.com
