    Great stuff!! I'm doing this job and was stuck on the 'phantom' bolt under the intake on the driver's side. Thanks for posting.

    if you took off all of these items, you should do the O2 sensors as well if there is a lot of miles on the car. You'll get a p0300 code on the check Engine light.

      You’re completely right I would changed the O2 sensors if it was throwing a code for those however it was just a tuneup it wasn’t having anything to do with the O2 sensors. Even after doing all that work and driving it for a few months later I never had any other trouble with it. The little GT V6 only had 89,000 miles on it. Crazy fast!

      Right on.. I just slopped up all the oil out of the spark plug hole with the paper towel.

    Hey man, so I have an 07 with the 6G75, do you absolutely have to remove the manifold to replace the back 3 cylinders' sparkplugs?

    • @micmac2800
      @micmac2800  8 месяцев назад +1

      Unfortunately, I believe so. It really makes life a lot easier removing the intake manifold . It's not a lot of extra work. I took mine off because it gave me a lot more room and also because I was doing the valve cover gaskets. But the spark plugs are right up underneath that manifold also. Hope that helps!

      @@micmac2800 thanks so much! I'll probably end up having to do the valve cover gaskets anyway when I do the plugs, so that helps a lot

    did you need a torque wrench for this job? Where did you get the parts?

    • @micmac2800
      @micmac2800  2 года назад

      I like to use a torque wrench on things that are aluminum so yes we used a torque wrench. If this is your first time mechanic and you can buy a torque wrench or get a loaner at your local parts store. We ordered our spark plugs off of Amazon which saved us almost $100. And got the rest of the valve covers from our local auto parts store!

      Check your fluid in your convertible top. And I’ve been told that ATF transmission fluid will work as the hydraulic fluid.

    Thanks for this video! I'm getting ready to change the valve cover gaskets on my 07 Spyder with the same oil leaking problem. Ive never done it before so I was glad to find this video with a heads up about what I'm getting into. How long did it end up taking you and did it fix the oil leaking?

    • @micmac2800
      @micmac2800  2 года назад

      Yeah the valve cover leakage was where most of the oil was coming from!… I would probably say you could do the valve covers in a couple hours. It took me about a full day because I went and did the spark plugs and wires while I was at it..

    • @micmac2800
      @micmac2800  2 года назад

      I’d say a few hours… buy the whole kit if you can .. valve cover gaskets and spark plug boot gasket.

    I bought a GS like 4 years ago. Still have it. It's full bolt ons and tuned to 91/93. But i also bought a GT a few weeks ago and will mod it as well. Do you know the torque spec for the valve covers?

    • @micmac2800
      @micmac2800  2 года назад

      I believe the torque specs changed a little bit from my four-cylinder to a six cylinder the best thing to do is look it up though V6 I was working on how to torque specs between 14-18 ftlbsI believe
