@@JasperHendricks it was a great car. I really wish I had a little bit more mileage. The Mercedes dealer around here knew how to take care of them and not charge a arm and a leg for the routine maintenance.

@micmac2800 I understand, I'm mostly going to use it for work and the beach since both commutes is less than 10miles round trip 😃 but it's great to know that you have a Mercedes dealership there that knows what they're doing!

@@JasperHendricks yeah I don't mind paying Mercedes price whenever I can't do something. But the cartridges that go in the battery area ( to keep moisture away)they were trying to charge me $1200 for them. You can buy the cartridges off of eBay or Amazon for $60 and it's like a 15 minute job. However, they will not warranty your traction battery if this is not done through the dealer. Other than that, the car never gave me any problem. And I love the way Mercedes made that car.!

@micmac2800 Glad to know! I appreciate the response and also the advice. I just found the cartridges on Amazon and I have them saved. So that way whenever I do get this car, I'll at least have those when needed! Close relatives and family members have never had any issues with being Mercedes owners! Especially also if Toyota Lexus And Honda 😃 general quality and luck we've had with them!

Give your self 2-3 hours depending on your skills. It's not a bad job at all. That includes burping the system.

@@pianoplayer56723 sorry you have a bad experience ,most people that have the Chevy volts talk about how reliable they are., Most cars are having 300,000 miles on them without too many problems.

@@RESKNEK to close it manually is to disconnect the wire from the brackets on the roof window. However, if you get into it that much you might as well just change the brackets and the motor out. However, in the video it took such a long time that I did have to close the roof manually by pushing it closed. But I would not advise driving the car like that, it could come out of the hole of the roof and fall out causing more damage or you may have to replace your roof glass. That would cause more expense.

@@Wheelgauge-bt7ox myself is a gearhead. I have a bunch of older cars that run on Dino juice myself. Trans Am, El Camino, diesel pick up truck. However, I really like our Chevy volt for every day commuting and not having to put gas in it but once every two months. And as far as the batteries and things, I don't find them much more expensive than having to put a motor and transmission in a gasoline vehicle, has the price of everything has doubled in the last 20 years!. Welcome to the EV life ..

@@JulioLergier make sure your battery coolant is full, coolant reservoir is in the front of your car when you pop the hood. But I found out I had a dead cell. And I had to get the battery replaced.

@@JulioLergier yes the traction battery. Had a person in Florida change it out. Way cheaper than the dealers can.

@@SergeRapoport it sure did. I went ahead and did the plugs and wires while all that was going on. It might have been a plug or wire also.

@@mopricefam that's correct find a dealer near you. Usually they have them on a website you can find out about how much you're going to spend. But you do the final purchase at the dealer that has the U-Haul trailer.

That may be the exact color. I wasn't too sure exactly what Chrysler called it back in 03.

There's a lot of things you have to look at when you look at your charge rate. Do you run your AC a lot. Is it on high. Do you use any of your regeneration low gearshift. Do you run your heat too much. Do you live in our hilly area.? it could have some degradation to your battery. Look at your lifetime battery setting.( on the radio screen under economy button.

Hi Bella, it is great to hear from you. Unfortunately, I do not have the same car anymore because we flipped it and sold it to somebody and it is still running strong and wonderful. However I do have a PTGT which I am going to look and see if the O2 sensors are in the same place, please subscribe so that you can catch my next video and I will show location of the O2 sensors and let you know exactly how to take them off. also, your journey sounds pretty awesome.
