Game is highly underrated. The blend of mmo and fps, with the large scale battles and wars across continents... its a literal gold mine for a developer to make a game in this space. Instead... we get BF2042. At least Daybreak keeps this hidden gem going.
This game still holds up 100%. You still get that same feel of a massive battles. I just loved this high energy match. Planetside, still alive and kickin' in 2021 🖖
I'm a long time planetside player, coming from the first game even, but yesterday on indar doing 3 factions bastions fleet combats with well over 250 planes on each side, with same amout on ground doing tanking was something else, never seen combat on such a scale beside eve online, truly grandiose 😂
I've subsribed for the StarCraft content, but God it was a great casting, helping us to understand the game and its implications, the "cinematography" was almost perfect and, in the end, it was a really fun 2 hours+ time well spend ! Thanks !
the moral booster of the chaingun is so true when i hear a teamates shooting that baby i feel so safe .... i dont care that hes shooting at a wall ... i feel safe :)
Daybreak made a huge step by Introducing a whole new map. I think that, now, they should take a break from the content, and spend the majority of this year focusing on *optimization and improving the performance* of the game. Something that has been severely neglected in the past 8 years.
They have actually done multiple performance dedicated patches!! :) 1st I can remember was: Operation make faster game The most recent was the: direct X 11 or 12 patch They have tried their butts off to make it run better, as well as a lot of texture updates recently which is the biggest performance killer. HOWEVER!! the game reaches 10 years old today. The base code is probably Atleast a few years older. There’s only so much you can do to a 10 year old game to make it run faster
Will you do one on Oshur this year? It's so good for coordinated team play compared to the others with construction allowed. My suggestion: give each team, say, 30 minutes of set up time to build bases and gather cortium, and then 2-3 hours to fight. You can even use bastions now, because the colossus exists, and you can do some crazy amphibious combat. One bastion per side, no air to ground shenanigans, no anti infantry max BS, and maybe allow 3 or so steel rains and anvils per side. Really showcase the tactical side of this game in all its glory. The bastions will deapawn after the first hour, so you still get unaffected combat after. I'd recommend vanu vs TR, as they play very uniquely on oshur. TR can hold really well, and the vanu tank is amphibious (it hovers on water), so they're the most interesting choices here.
Terran’s Gambit is incredibly interesting from a military history standpoint… I would study this battle like we study a real war. I wish Video Game Generals were a more popular market. I want to see interviews and watch battle plans.. eSports is now a thing.. can eWar become a thing?
man i originally saw falc'hun command the TR, and he also won that contest, so i felt cut when he was commanding the NC lol, but i think he's overall quite a good commander right? the two times ive seen him command, he's won both times, and in the same solid style too.
I really wish that TR strategy would have worked.... it would have been awesome. I'm VS main but I was supporting TR throughout the video, simply because I hate NC. Damn NC... so annoying.
Ok, guys. I have a question about Aimbot. How often, do you feel, is it used in this game? Far too often I was shot in the head from the great distance. That's why I quit over a year ago and I hesitate to come back. Because I suspect that Aimbot is being used by far too many people.
I'm afraid all those people are actually just really good players. They use accurate weapons with high magnification, probably have a decently big monitor with high res, and then they just have the literal aiming ability to make full use of it. Head shots make or break planetside and many of these players who have been here for thousands upon thousands of hours have trained specifically to get headshots whenever they can. There are extremely small numbers of hackers. SolTech is the only "problematic" server, and that's fairly well known. The rest rarely have those problems.

Planetside, still alive and kickin' in 2021 🖖
The fact that they went all in to cap the warp gate and ditched conventional tactics made this halarious for me.
I'm a long time planetside player, coming from the first game even, but yesterday on indar doing 3 factions bastions fleet combats with well over 250 planes on each side, with same amout on ground doing tanking was something else, never seen combat on such a scale beside eve online, truly grandiose 😂
This was amazing to watch. Really love the PlanetSide 2 castings and gameplay.
I've subsribed for the StarCraft content, but God it was a great casting, helping us to understand the game and its implications, the "cinematography" was almost perfect and, in the end, it was a really fun 2 hours+ time well spend ! Thanks !
What I've noticed in this game, when you increase the players the more longer it would take to win the provinces. Ultimately the game. This is fun.
Dude imo my fav fps. I always find myself coming back lol it makes me happy they are giving this game care
I love that these are regularly held. I don't even play the game but watching it cast like this is great entertainment.
Liked and commented.
That might have been the greatest community smash ever.
Glad to see the cast of this great event. Go Nc and thanks again Winter.
The cutoff in the second half was a genius idea ,. Should try it in live play, I wonder who was behind that plan.
Wait, wait, wait. At 44:13 a Lightning is on the cap!

In other words. Git gud son.
Aimbot is almost nonexistent in Planetside 2.
