I've always thought this duet version of the song is way better than the solo version, i mean the solo version is good and all but listening too Twilight and Sunset singing together just feels so perfect!!
Right? I'm kinda disappointed they didn't go with the original plot of Friendship Games. Would have been cool to have Sunset join the others back in Equestria.
They explained in the commentary for this scene that they realized that it didn't make sense for Sunset to want to go back to Equestria. Especially after she had spent a whole movie getting to be friends with the Equestria Girls. Don't forget that they had forgiven her for a LOT of stuff. I'm kind of sad that the B plot was cut, but think that they ultimately made the right decision.
Honestly this version still hits hard all these years later. Especially after both equestria girls and Friendship is magic both ended. And while i love g5, its just not the same, especially since g5 made it about them cleaning up the mess left after twilight sealed away magic, including the one villain and alicorn alive from twilight's time that we know of besides discord in the comics, so yeah. Returning to what i spent my teens wayching and listening to always helps me remember the good times of g4

What if there's also a Hindi version of this covered by Mannat Noor and Alka Yagnik and then they will sound exactly like themselves from Happy Bachpan?
Originally Sunset was going to have a subplot in the movie about wanting to move back to Equestria, but they had to cut it, probably for time, so they also had to cut her part out of the duet too
