A Boxing Night when Big George Foreman beat 5 fighters in front of Muhammad Ali. Best Puncher in History of Boxing
Foreman is so underrated and disrespected. For me, his two obliterations of Frazier are the best pieces of form in boxing history. Then to win a belt at 45 is just insane.
They just did a movie about his life. Of course, it's not celebrated. They're waiting for him to move on. Then everyone wants to clap.
See foreman is a boxer but he’s like a mountain coming towards and striking you with C-4 with the power of Dempsey and Tyson!
Obliteration of Norton also.
How is he underrated??? Lol dumbest thing I ever read.
by who ?
Saw this live in my teens. Best ringside taunt from Ali: "You can beat 5 of them, but you can't beat 1 of ME!"
😂😂stupid ali, n he lost with easy player
Se tivesse uma revanche, Foreman teria matado ali
Foreman very strong and dangerous
Muhammad Ali was speaking FACTS!!!
@@Carlos_Augusto_prime En la única pelea que tuvieron, Ali demostró que podía absorber muy bien los golpes de Foreman. Dudo que en un revancha hasta el año 1978 hubieran cambiado las cosas.
Can you imagine Ali in this era with social media lol omg
It would be like Etika
Could you imagine a spectacle like this in today's world?
That would be Conor Mcgregor
Then maybe his followers would more than ronaldo and messi
With his open racism he wouldn't have as many fans as you think
It’s the first l’ve heard of this. Five fights, one after another! Nowadays they won’t do more than one fight every 18 months. George Foreman was the best ever and a nice bloke as well.
"Fear the old man in a profession where men die young." That saying was tailor made for Foreman 😆
Too bad he was in his twenties here……

This is terrific, i love that Ali's out there running his mouth and telling how to fight Forman, and correcting Cosell, classic, i miss the old guard of boxing, they don't make em like they used to. Ali keeps trying to tell these fighters how to rope-a-dope but they just ain't listening.
Charlie Polite listened pretty good. Tried to imitate Ali! Made Foreman even look a little bad at times. What a story he must have had to share with his grandkids!
The rope-a-dope caused Ali to take too many head shots. It was a stupid tactic to take.

@@masaukochitsamba7808 Just think what chance to fame last guys had.
Foreman danced like Ali during the 5th last opponent!
At that time it was like Foreman could knock you down with his eyesight alone. What a beast he was.
Interesting that Ali would never give Foreman a rematch. Probably because the rope a dope trick only works once
Why do you think he was there ? He flew in just to help promote the damn thing .. it was a debacle ..
He didn't want another fight with George. He offered him a rematch only if he destroyed Ken Norton again. Ali really never beat Norton convincingly.....If at all. Those judges were pretty kind to Ali. Just sayin
@@ShurlockHolmes All Foreman had to do to get a rematch was keep his No 1 contenders status which he couldn’t do after retiring for 15 months while Ali fought 5 times .. then he couldn’t beat Jimmy Young and retired ..
@@bobbyhulll8737 He wanted Ali. He didn't care about anyone else. He lost focus. Ali would've never given him a rematch. He is on the cover of Sports Illustrated back in the day saying he wanted Ali again. On the cover. Ali's doctor's were terrified of Ali fighting Foreman the first time. They weren't gonna allow him to fight him a second time. Ali was just jiving as he'd say. Ali was never gonna give him a rematch. He didn't wanna give fight Norton two more times either. And let's be honest. He lost both of those rematch fights. He lost all 3 to Norton. Ali never whipped Norton.
And before I'm accused of it. I'm not an Ali hater either.
George Foreman was a True Phenom. I mean 5 fights. ..... Damn !!
Ali was great. He was trolling the hell out of George but unlike an internet troll he was there in person, and Howard Cossell's dry delivery while he hints at how annoyed he is with Ali's excessive shouting is just hilarious.
It's one thing when doing a fight promo when it's expected, but he's supposed to be working as a commentator, "Just keep shouting at the fighters and repeating yourself, Einstein.."

@@manku1995 ...Imbecile!
He had the greatest mouth that’s about all
You couldn't pay me enough to get brain damage from Big George. Wicked Wicked shots geeeez
Brain damage? The first fighter was dropped with a shot that was CLEARLY blocked, and didn’t even try to throw for the last lame “knockdown”. Second dude pretended to be hurt, got in a sneaky shot on Foreman, and then stopped throwing, despite George not covering his own head at all. The “knockdown” that ended Mr. Judge wasn’t even a punch, Foreman pulled his glove and Judge went down like he was hit. The third guy was absorbing jabs and was easily knocked down by one, but then later on, after some more jabs, without even knocking Daniels down, Foreman looks at the ref and calls for the fight to end? About as far removed from a “knockout” as you can get. Fourth guy looked like they were taking a dollar off his purse for every punch he might land, and despite a record of 13 and 30, plus only throwing a half a dozen punches, he went the distance, and laughed in Foreman’s face after he got “knocked down”. The fifth guy didn’t look too bad, except he only landed a few body shots. By this time it is obvious that the fix is in, and even though the last guy supposedly had a decent record, he mostly avoided George’s head, which was wide open most of the time. Even Cosell called the fight a farce.
Awesome! Foreman deserves more credit, truly one of the greatest. Fighting five guys wow.
One of the best heavyweights of all time that might have been forgotten by most if he didn't come back and reclaim his title 20 years later, as the oldest world champion ever. Victim of bad promotion management and terrible public relations, but mainly the political and social situation in the States during his prime. He refused to answer the call of the black community for a boycott (due to the Vietnam War) of the '68 Mexico Olympics, winning the gold medal but not the respect and love of the people. Lost his 1st title to the great Mohamed Ali, who never gave him the rematch he deserved.
This particular set of fights happened in Toronto a few months after Foreman lost his title to Ali, at the peak of their rivalry, as Foreman was struggling to prove himself worthy of a title shot, to himself and doubters alike. He quit boxing 2 years later, to become an evangelist for the next 10 years before his (mocked by the public and experts) amazing return.
Don't forget he reinvented himself to seal millions of grills.Makes great sasauges even does toasties.Well done george
Just a small clarification, George is the oldest "Heavyweight" Champion of all time while Bernard Hopkins holds the record for oldest champion in any weight class.
And, anyone who knows fighting...knows these 5 fights were rigged. 😒
@@grahamnalepa4622 no. They weren't rigged. You're a damn liar

That was awesome! Foreman hits like a brick house. I can't imagine getting hit by him. He can pound the body and the head. Foreman is only 26 years old here. The commentator, the legendary Howard Cosell, was like "this will hardly be memoralized here today." Boy was he wrong. Three LEGENDS at this event in 1975: Howard Cosell, George Foreman, and Muhammed Ali.
Ali came out strong then decided not to make the other commentators look bad.
He still threw out some gems, though. 13:50 was one of them.
He is a living shit brick house
It baffles me that people dipped their heads repeatedly close to his uppercut. George used his stiff arm to make you wanna dip under it, then BOOM. but NOPE! I'd try my best to find a way to fight around the jab. It's much better to avoid an uppercut that could lift you off the ground..
I'd probably try to fight in and out of the pocket on countering. Fuck staying inside where all the kinetic energy is released
3:51 Ali- George you crazy 😂😂
11:56 that Foreman jab is a force to reckon with. The skill level is incredible

Amazing that 1st Ali beat Sonny Liston twice , then years later he beat his Protege Big George Foreman !
2:32 Ali getting excited when the first fighter goes for the rope-a-dope is hilarious.
In perspective, while these 5 guys were stiffs compared to Ali, Frazier, and Foreman, said stiffs could easily take the ordinary guy on the street in seconds!

That was very impressive. Ali did disturb George, but 5 men, George threw a lot of punches. When they finished, they knew they had been in a fight.
According to George the hardest hitter was Liston. I believe him.
@igor putin actually Ali never had a rematch with Foreman because as Foreman was about to earn his rematch he lost to Jimmy Young. Ali would then beat Young in a title defence.
Foreman would retire not long after. Ali actually called Foreman and asked him to come out of retirement to fight Ken Norton, so Foreman would beat Norton and Ali would give Foreman his rematch. As Ali said he just couldn't beat Norton. Ali being sincere or it being gamesmanship. I don't know. But Foreman has stated this from his own mouth. Foreman turned down Ali's request.
