For the rolling thunder on the lightning drake you forgot to mention why it’s so dangerous, I didn’t know until I read the tooltip myself and I’m guessing as tank you probably didn’t either but the dot itself is actually not that dangerous, rather it’s the groupwide aoe damage it deals when it expires/is dispelled. I was wondering why the group took so much damage whenever it was cast and I mass dispelled it. So yeah don’t mass dispel it unless you’re sure people can survive it and also tell people not to self dispel it. One other thing I want to just clarify is that the chillstorm doesn’t really have drop off damage based on how far away you are from it, the only thing that matters is not being inside the actual aoe, which really should only be the person with the debuff for 1 or 2 ticks at most.
A quick additional Tipp about first Boss: The AoE zone does not actually do "drop off" damage. You can drop it pretty close to the group. Just dont be inside it
That said, your healer will love you more if it isn't 5 ft from the boss, and they have more than 0 seconds to cast a spell before being sucked into the ability
One thing you missed with the Earthshapers/Iceweavers: If there is an Ice Shield on a Mob, it is immune to any form of CC, so it is important to kick the Ice Shield so you are still able to CC the Earthshapers.
This dungeon requieres so much attention. you cannot drop it once the whole run or you just die. either bosses or trashes. it's quite insane the amount of focus everyone needs to have. especially on last boss. This is the kind of fight where it always will go wrong at some point because there is too much to manage at the same time and you can't keep track of everything (fire puddles and wind direction for exemple). Thank you for giving us tips on how to do it easier with the baits and wind direction that will help a lot !

The final boss shouldn't require brez's to defeat. DPS running out of CD's and still not being able to be kept alive by the best healer ATM means the mechanic is hitting / ticking too hard.

Monk has used (called at least four def cds), Hunter has used ... Basically his Turtle! 😂😂And one of the major issues with Turtle, that many people ignore and still call it an "immunity" is, once you have the DoT landed on you, Turtle won't do anything to absorb or even reduce the ticking damage and you WILL take full damage from the DoT. 😬😬
The problem, i've found, with that last mini boss is that when he's pulled a LOT of people "blow their loads" early on him. So they'll be in down time when he gets his shield and gets ready for that cast that one shots just about everyone. looked like you had some crazy dps in this run and didn't even see that part.
Hunters, Druids, Priests can remove blaze of glory from flame dancers too. It seems to be classified as magic and a rage effect. I suspect rogues, mages, and shaman could remove it too, I just have not played with or played either to verify. Arcane torrent from blood elves is amazing for getting both flame dancers in one global. As always great call outs in the master class.
I've learned by accident if you tank the storm dragon on the opposite where you tank in the video, you don't move at all when he hits you. It might be a little raised so it acts like a wall
Minor comment not just for this dungeon but for a few others like Temple, be mindful that you aren't zoomed all the way out, there always seems to be F trees blocking your view and it can really screw you over.
Nice Video. Learnt a lot. Had a few pugs yesterday and we could not finished one key . I tried m+13-15. It seems like the ranges doesnt know how to stack at the frist two bosses or to use cc. As a shaman i try everythink i can to interrupt or cc ( i think i have a lot als Enhancement) and I Healed at critical moments, but it wasnt enough to carry the keys. I think i will most likely skip this instance with pug groups because its just so hard for the healers, if the other one just tunnel dps and they suck at it too :D
For those coming later, infernocore was eventually nerfed by 20% in Jan 17 hotfix. This footage is from very early in the expansion and of course a lot of tuning still needed to be done for keys above 20 - not a lot of game testers playing at that level and without bis.
What I concluded doing the mythic+ dungeons is that Ruby Pools is the hardest and most people fail there. Partly because it's over tuned but the other part is people not knowing mechanics. Not knowing mechanics and queuing for m+ really gets on my nerves especially when I get my key demoted because of it.

The way that mechanic is handled is that your healer will dispel one, heal the party, and then deal with the other. You want to stagger the dispels so your healer can recover. If you pop cloak of shadows or stoneform or something at the same time you're healer dispels the other person, it will wipe your group.
i need to know, atm there must be a bug in this one. me and my team was in here yesterday, and its was like a got duble damage from all adds as the dragon make a font damage on 131k damage but at the moment after, i got same damage but this time its was on 366k damage ? this must be a bug right ?
I play blood dk and few times I died on the second boss just because it started to cast the tank buster right after we finished an add, so the boss was standing in a fire and I couldn’t do anything, because I need to do death strikes in order to survive it on +17
I didnt understand as a healer why people just got oneshot instantly on some of the destroyer packs, but now i see its because people pull all the surrounding flame dancers and no one CCs them. So the casts overlap and its a oneshot
I don’t have a regular m+ team, I pug and this dungeon is an absolute mess rn. Everyone blames the Rogue for not kicking uninterruptible, unavoidable aoe dmg. “Rogue you need to kick”…”I am look at the logs”. Y’all realize you need more members to help with interruptions, right? Our kick has a cd just like everyone else’s.

Hey Quazii, I've tried to add Decoration of Flames Buff to the Buff WA by copying Ignore Pain and changing the Buff-ID but it wont show the value of the shield that is left, only the remaining time. Do you remember how you fixed this?
One important note: on really high Fortfied keys, the play is actually killing Flamegullet over Thunderhead, because the dot will absolutely one shot on a 22+ fortified when dispelled, and on Flamegullet at least you have a chance to kill if the dps is high enough before everyone dies
Thunderhead is still manageable with proper defensive CD rotations, have done it up to 23 before the recent nerfs. Evoker with Zephyr makes it a lot easier to handle, as well as having an extra magic dispel like Lock or Priest so you don't have to struggle healing through the 2nd DoT that you can't remove due to dispel cooldown. Important to note as well for fortified: lust whichever dragon you pull. Thunderhead lust on pull, Flamegullet lust at 50%. Personally I prefer groups doing Thunderhead because I have all my CDs available, whereas on Flamegullet I'm probably already strapped from the ele's inferno casts (though this may be less applicable post Inferno nerf), and healing the tank is much more stressful on Flamegullet.
It’s a shame these dungeons almost make B rez a must have. I know it’s crazy to say, but doing 15’s and higher not having a B rez is basically throwing the key.
Lust too. It encourages class diversity. If classes did not have must-have tools that bring needed utility to a party, you could just sim the highest DPS class and stack 3 of them in every group. Having b-rez, bloodlust, certain buffs and other abilities gives a class value above and beyond the DPS meter. Obviously this doesn't always work out perfectly - for example RDruid is extremely good right now regardless - but the point is that it is healthy for the game, when the mechanics of difficult content encourage you to select a variety of classes for different reasons, rather than just "the best"
Why do we even have to deal with brez on the last boss anyway! It's clearly overtuned into oblivion. This key is just a +21 and damage is equivalent to late mythic raid bosses except you only have one healer to protect 3 hp nukes. There needs to be a 30-40% nerf to this or elder players at 421 avg ilvl would still pray for brez because certain classes just don't have the necessary defensives.
I did 21 ruby on Bear and second boss one shot me in incarn with his tank ability, deathlog showed he hit me for 180k and that killed me insta, even though I had 500k hp left still and bark on me, entire expansion is still beta testing bugged as hell

Still good to try and get it as far away as possible to counter the suction.

im fairly certain displacement still works ie grip, typhoon, tail whip etc

Just a tip for the thunderhead tank buster mechanic, if you walk into it while he's casting it he does not knock you back at all.

Grip is op as a Blood DK, you can stop so many hard cast like the Teutonic slam which in pugs can save the run.
What classes can purge the flame dancers 0% cast?

Does anyone know if the second boss has a leash range? I've always been concerned with resetting if we move too far around the ring.
Fairly certain he does not, I’ve seen him moved reallllly far around the second floor with no reset
what happens to flame gullet when you pull the boss on the ring? do you still have to worry about not pulling him?
if u go counter clockwise, u wont run out of room till u reach flamegullet - unless for some reason you are running really far for no reason

Yes you need to change c1 to c2 iirc - not a simple copy paste

on a pug if you dont down the dragon to like 30ish % or lower the wipe chance is 99%

ilvl alone not makes or breaks the key, better to check the overall dmg, 105k, 90k, 82k, 30k, 20k
