"Why can't people simply disagree anymore?" I agree, Dr. Grande. Some people have lost the ability to have a conversation about issues without getting personal, and it's sad. It shuts down discourse and polarizes us. Thank you, as always, for your channel.

it's pretty simple as to why, it's because Republicans just make extreme and baseless accusations such as election rigging, and drinking the blood of children to stay young. What is worse is there is documented evidence in for form of recordings that Dump attempted to rig an election and they act like it's no big deal. So THAT is why people can't "simply disagree". Because it goes beyond just a difference in governing policy, it is a difference in reality or at least morals (assuming they don't actually believe their lies)
I am sick of hearing about trans issues too so pls dont bring that up as some kind of a counter balance to Republicunt lies about stolen elections or whatever conspiracy they have come up with lately.

You ever try talking to people who are on the extremes? I'm willing to bet they have vastly more mental health issues than the general population.
People on the right will say "they're trying to groom our children (for sex)" and people on the left are like "there's literally Nazis marching on the street every day" and if you ask for evidence f either of these claims they'll reference the one time it's actually happened in the past 2 decades or accuse you of covering for the other side.

I only watch Fox News because of Tucker Carlson. Now he has left there is no reason for me to watch it. I'm Australian, like Rupert. I've watched his business moves over the past 40 years. If religion makes him feel uncomfortable, maybe that's because he knows he's living in sin and hates being reminded of it. He wants to ignore his wickedness and pretend God doesn't exist and that he doesn't have to change his ways and turn to God. It's actually very telling about a person when they have such a knee jerk reaction to God. It reveals the yuck that lives in the shadows and darkness and exposes it to the light of truth to see it for what it really is. Disobedience and self-glorification.

Daily spoon feeding of anger and/or lies has caused great harm in peoples relationships with each other. Tucker is responsible for irresponsible driving wedges in families and coworkers. His hate like fear messages have disrupted the good in people and replaced empathy and doing the right thing with for stinker-ship. Growing up in the 70’s was apple pie and Aunt Bea. Today it’s mass shootings, snotty attitudes and even criminal behaviors with impunity by people in the highest positions of trust. Nixon knew when to step down. That integrity seems so rare in the Republican Party. Fox probably represents 70% of the initial reason for distrust of “Us vs. Them” mentality. This near daily spoon feeding of hatemanship is a slow poison. The ecosystem of American integrity has been fractured. Mass shootings and hate is not helping, it’s fueling.

Good analysis overall, but I have to say I'm not entirely sure about the proposition that Carlson was appropriating the techniques which were formerly exclusive of "liberal media" and that's the primary reason why they were so incensed with him. Rather, I think Tucker Carlson was appropriating the techniques of media in general - overdramatization, stoking divisions, and an all around tendency to make mountains out of molehills because, in the final analysis, that is what moves product.
This isn't any special domain of the liberal media as Dr. Grande seems to suggest. In all likelihood, whatever dislike the leftward elements of media may have had about Carlson was simply because he was a conservative, and they're not. In other words, much of the antipathy toward Carlson - to the extent that there was any - was probably due to differences, not similarities.

You are both missing his point. Tucker and many of these FOX personalities learned and grew their bombastic style working for CNN or MSNBC in the past. Tucker Carlson gained his show style on Crossfire. Accusing him of being a traitor is proving his point. People on both sides can no longer simply disagree. This IS the media's fault 100%. The partisan hacks have to passionately hate one another. Todd levied plenty of criticism at FOX and Rupert Murdoch as well. But he also recognizes fault in how MSNBC and some CNN anchors behaved going back to the Bush administration and saw what Tucker learned from. FOX in many ways embraced the same thing but turned up the heat, showboating, and manipulation of the truth 1000x over. Thus Dr Grande is right when he says Tucker Carlson is a reflection of some others on the other side of the coin.

A good portion of what Dr. Grande “taught” you about Tucker is either exaggerated or untrue. Grande has become a sensationalist in his own way as his audience has grown. Don’t let yourself be played! A good portion of Grande’s points #6 and 7 about Tucker actually ironically describe himself as his channel has grown.
It would be amusing if Grande were not so manipulative of a trusting fan base. Grande is now “screaming “ about everything in his own quiet way which is meant to inspire confidence in what he is saying, which he calls analysis but which is largely speculation. Grande is as guilty of manipulating the facts about the subjects of his so-called “analysis” as he accuses Tucker of doing.
I am not offering my analysis of Dr. Grande’s speculations as a defense of Tucker alone, but I have noticed Grande doing this same sort of thing with other subjects as his popularity has grown. He takes his topics from whatever is driving the news or popular culture, but he often offers his remarks before enough time has gone by for all the actual facts to emerge. Therefore, more and more he depends on speculation, his own and speculation he gathers from news and internet rumors, to build his “case” for his viewers’ entertainment and for monetary gain.
I used to be a fan before Grande started to become a victim of his own celebrity and felt he had to give his audience what they wanted rather than being strictly professional. He knows that he has crossed the line over from the ethics of a medical field to those of a RUclips influencer. I think Grande understands exactly what he is doing. I hope his audience also comes to understand what he’s doing and regards it exactly for what it is, entertaining speculation. I say all this from the viewpoint of a professional in Grande’s own field.

If Fox News is shifting "away from conservative-centric reporting," then someone forgot to tell the Murdochs. These people are massively conservative and always will be. You are correct in one respect-I think Carlson was just too much of a wild card. The Murdochs like Establishment conservatism. Tucker didn't tow the Establishment narrative reliably enough. He's populist right-wing, which is different. I don't think Geraldo is nearly reliably conservative enough to take Tucker's slot. Some people have suggested that Tulsi Gabbard may be promoted to a more prominent position. I don't think she'll take the slot either, but he did have her on a lot.
I think Dr. Grande's take is pretty much right on the money. Tucker was so popular that he thought he could bite the hand that feeds. The old man personally shitcanned him and wouldn't even allow him a final show to say goodbye to his audience. That's pretty chilly. The fact that Fox News is hemorrhaging money due to lawsuits and settlements didn't help matters. It will be interesting to see what he does next.

I had on a video of commercials from the 80s-90s while working and caught a clip from an ad for Bill Maher's old show "Politically Incorrect." We pulled it up on RUclips and someone has uploaded a bunch of the episodes. Watching a few episodes it was refreshing to see people with different backgrounds & opinions have a lively debate and even get so excited they are all trying to talk over each other - but when they disagree, they don't tear each other apart and leave the room. They conceded on some points & tried to back up their own with more detail. But it was civil.
