What a great idea! When someone with dementia is pretty much confined to safe familiar spaces (at home or in a facility), these videos make a good virtual outing for your mum, provide some new sensory stimulation, and give her something to talk and think about outside of routine day-to-day matters.

Also, your videos by night are always relaxing and help me a lot to work on my computer at night. Keep up the great work, and thank you very much for sharing your videos about this beautiful country, Japan ... that I've never visited in my life!
I particularly love when you walk through all the residential areas. They’re probably not attractive to tourists, no shopping malls or movies etc, but I just like knowing that people’s lives are here. Especially @ 58:00. I don’t do it often (only like literally 4 times) but I sometimes just pick a random bus number and just alight somewhere unfamiliar in my city, especially the residential areas, and just walk around. Watching your videos really make me feel like visiting those places in Japan. Especially the back alleys, little parks, those pathways beside and under train tracks. It’s weird but I feel like making Koto City a destination for my trip to Japan (whenever that is) and see those high-density residential blocks. It’ll be an interesting experience cos it looks similar to where I live but I’ll know it’s somewhere far away from home.
the area after 57:50 looks nice. no grafittis and vandalism - which westerners seem to enjoy so much ("grafitti is art" "blank space is boring"...). it looks soo much nicer without vandalism. no yelling, boasting, threatening youth. large residential buildings like a ghetto - but this is the first time in my life that something like it seems livable. from all ive seen, i think the japanese are masters of real life sim city.
I think the beauty of your channel and content is that nothing is really supposed to happen, its just a walk through japan. Its really calming to watch and i enjoy tuning in to all of your videos :)

Ramabalac thank you for this video. It brought me great memories of my 3 month stay in the Kameido area six years ago. Everyday I would walk almost the exact same route back to the hotel (44:50) from the little East Exit of Kameido Station and thinking to myself this is the greatest feeling in the world. I will be downloading this video and keeping it forever.
i love that feeling when walking between stations where as you head away from the station it gets quieter with less pedestrians up to a certain point before returning to getting busier and crowded when approaching the next station.

Kinshicho and the Koto ward are in what used to be outside the proper area of Tokyo, outside the "low city" area beyond the Kanda and Sumida rivers. The Sumida river used to be the boundary to Tokyo, with the low city consisting of what are now the Taito and Chiyoda city areas. A couple centuries ago Sumida and Koto were rice fields and marshlands, you would never know it to look at them now.
