Noticed this place because of Cats musical I watched a week before. After the musical I was looking for a restaurant and found set of narrow streets which as I expected should look nice by night. Started while it was sunset and finished with dark sky.

I lived in Japan for a year. Every weekend I would just start walking. I always found something new and I was never disappointed.

But most of that tourist places survived only because of overtourism. Like Kyoto.

@RisingSunCountry That's simple, just rise prices in Kyoto like 10 times. Oops, most of Japanese will not be able to afford it and 99% of shops in Kyoto will be out of business due lack of customers.

These videos are FANTASTIC! so soothing but above that educational. LOVE the alley ways and its micro universe it has with all the little shops and eateries. Much better than the main drag. So much character each individual shop has.. amazing. definitely on my bucket list, when i have a full month to stay.
To be honest, since I found your channel back then, I wouldn’t let pass a day or a week without even watching one of your videos. Right before I sleep, even I just got woke up, eating or being bored in the house. It has been a habit of me actually. Yours has been one of my favorite channel that shows different sceneries of a country that I love and hoping to go there too, someday!

Those residential areas seem so quiet and calm, while they're right next to the big city it seems

Stayed here last October, 2019. Right down the street at the Tokyo Via Inn(You can see it to the left, 2nd floor @ 57:19). Ate that the Black Ramen Shop on the corner from where you crossed. I even recognize the two men still working there inside -- so glad it's still open! Such a lovely area, want to return so badly! Thank you for making this video, it lets me relieve my memories from a year ago :)

All those beautiful narrow backstreets with all the ugly-beautiful old concrete builds, wires and electric/water boxes... I LOVE it, THAT is my Japan. Again thank You for sharing, it´s like a one hour short vacation. ^^
It has been interesting watching rambalac's videography journey over the years. I can see you are realising it isn't about the walk, it is about the story. A road in japan is like any other road, but a weird sign or a interesting shop are things only found in one place.

Amazed by the sound of birds chirping at 13:00, and also by the sound of the cicadas getting louder as you approach them around 14:20. Both sounds so surprisingly beautiful and unexpected to hear in such a densely urbanized region! :)
I just finished my four year long Bachelor Degree in Japan and returned back to the UK, just being able to remind myself of the place that I will return to in a few years keeps me going

Its really like you're walking there, i mean, all thats missing is the smells.
I am looking and im like.. you really have to know your way around there, so many things sort of look the same.
Its pretty overwhelming for a Dutch guy to look at this and i did grew up in a fairly large city. (Arnhem the best :P)

I love so many things of Japan. The streets were so clean. The silence at the place where the white cat lies. The little shop's and these automates everywhere. The sound of cicadesat the one part.

These lights.... these lights are so strikingly unique...
Never been in Japan but this video is amazing thanks for this. A few things to point out:
- You will never die of dehydration (vending machines)
- People respect rules (Europeans LOVE jaywalking)
- Even though things look kinda messy in narrow streets everything is sorted nicely and streets are clean AF
- Although people in Japan work most of the time, I would expect people bumping into each other or being on edge. Though, they don't seem to (compare to London lol).
Overall, I am sold. I am booking holidays for Japan. Just walking on these streets brings peace to me and my OCD.
A bustling modern city without any litter! That says a lot to me about the people.
