Just watching them drag him off the track like that, whether he informed them of possible spinal injury or not, makes you want to climb through the screen.
The volunteers at a local track in BFE wouldn’t have done this in most cases.

The way the medical crew handled him was straight up negligence.

I am really surprised that trained medical professionals didn’t follow proper protocol

they appear very negligent in moving him around like a rag doll,,

Ya they are definitely getting sued, to much evidence the only thing he needs is a simple 5 people that aren’t his friends to back up his claims. With all the documentation, that would be hard to not give him a giant settlement

I remember this happening. What his lawsuit claims is pretty spot on. Alot of people dropped the ball in this situation. The race should of been red flagged. Alot of blame to pass around.

Absolutely. With his accident. First responders should have first performed a primary and secondary assessment. After primary the secondary should be a complete finding of any injuries Including a neuro check of his extremities. Any deficits would require some type of spinal immobilization. This would minimize any further injury.
With him being moved and manipulated. This could make worse the injury.
I would guess that the medical crew had the intention but also to get rider off field as to keep the race going.
It’s sad for all parties involved.
Motocross is a dangerous sport but we have to keep out athletes safety as paramount. To keep the sport growing.

people like you are the problem. Its not on them to save the riders when the riders are more than happy to ride. Yall make the decision to ride and stand by it. Stop acting like they have to save yall lives when you are the one making the decisions. Bunch of cry babies all of ya

It wasn't even in the race, it was practice. This is the reason for the gopro being banned on top of the helmet. I've talked to the ama official Mike Burkeen. The ama told me that the gopro went through the helmet, this is not true, you can see the gopro adhesive in the pictures Lebig took. Basically the AMA and feld are gonna throw gopro under the bus, saying helmets aren't designed and tested for use with a gopro. I've had much better treatment while injured at local tracks, and this was during practice. I normally don't believe in suing a track because of injury, but definitely negligence on felds part. This is whole reason gopros are banned on helmets, ama and feld trying to say injury was caused by the gopro. The guy straight up lied to me, it's a shame Brian got paralyzed, those idiots that manhandled him. Feld makes buckets of money of these riders. It's a shame they are throwing a long time sponsor (gopro) under the bus. The way Mike Burkeen talked about it with me, he claims to care but supposedly it was all the gopros fault. Supposedly the gopro was lodged in his helmet which was not true. You can see very clearly in the photos by lebig, according to Burkeen he insist the gopro penetrated the shell of the helmet. It's a blatant lie. He basically ignored my questions of why practice wasn't stopped. But by the way he talked, feld is gonna use the fact helmets aren't tested with gopros, and somehow the gopro heightened injuries. I've been wearing a gopro since around 2010, takes very little for them to break off. From the negligence of the medic crew, hope this kid gets paid. Would be nice if they allowed gopros back on heads, ironically FIM still allows gopros in gp races. Miss the pov footage. Those medics dumbest people in the medical field I've ever seen. And the ama making a rule against a long time sponsor like gopro, to cover the asterisk medical incompetence, is terrible

Poor lad. I unfortunately had a bad crash resulting in complete loss of feeling through out my body , race red flagged and I was treated correctly by medics in the track , neck and back stabilised before removed off track then into ambulance then off to hospital then to learn id broke c4 c5 c6 in my neck. After 8 weeks in spinal hospital and surgery to plate and fuse the 3 damaged vertebrae together thank the good lord above I walked out of the hospital. But for those first 3 hours of not feeling a thing through out my body was a experience Il never forgot .

He has more traction then brand spanking new tires in the case..this is a pick your settlement situation without a doubt..these alpine medical crews and even track workers should be trained not to touch anyone who has an injury until they are stabilized correctly..this kid even said he had a back injury to boot...definitely negligence..no question about it..

Could be a mistake by the responders. Not sure if that's negligence on the part of Feld. I'm a part-time certified scuba instructor, and we're required to carry liability insurance for professionals in our industry. The lines of legal responsibility seem pretty clear to me (what's me and what's the responsibility of the people I work for), but if you have great attorneys, anything's possible.

Direct negligence from the Feld crews.
Feld entertainment, tend to only focus on the money making business part of the sport. Even flaggers have to have the maximum medical knowledge when it comes to being the first responders out there in the track.

If pics speaks louder than words there will be a large settlement IMO from Feld entertainment. What a shame.

Out of court settlement. Imagine an NFL player being drug off the field by their arm pits so they game could quickly resume play!! Flaggers, medics at fault but all for one and one for all in civil court! 10 million at least! Next…!

Everyone is looking for a paycheck . 💰 🤑🤑🤑🤑 Nobody put a gun to his head and made him race you know racing is dangerous. This is like trying to sue a gun mfg or car mfg for what someone does with there products.

Pretty sure when you decide to step on the race track you relinquish all liability to the race organization. It probably says so in the paperwork he signed to race. Unfortunate that he got hurt and anyone may have been negligent but that is the risk he took when he decided to race.
