thanks for this awesome walkthrough! I watched like 15 videos trying to get a better sense of the Drums module, and you explained everything so well. Cheers!
I like making pseudo real rack cases usually 2x104hp and this thing has been a amazing addition to VCV rack. Hopefully we get more of the erica pico series!
Just started VCV, why does it seem like the bpm on your clock module has to be such a high value? even the 120-180 sounded slow and you increase to 747 to the end
Because in the beginning I was using the Bernouli gate to drop out beats, so I had to speed up the clock to get a reasonable pseudo-random beat pattern. Near the end I was using the "divide by 4" output of the clock because what I was going to do (and completely forgot to do in the video :-) ) was to have the main clock drive some hi-hats to have a fast 32 note hi-hat pattern.
Thanks Greg! Yeah, really like the module and the sounds, except.... for that control knob! It's simply been overloaded in a way that doesn't work in Rack and you can't MIDI map it either :-( But other than that....
Yeah, I wonder if it works better as a physical module. Encoders in general are difficult to use in a software version but they make sense when you physically turn them and press them. The dragging of a mouse really causes a disconnect between the action of turning a knob and the effect of turning a knob.
@@modularcuriosity That's exactly it - works in physical but not virtual, the rules *are* somewhat different, and so you can't always just translate 1:1, especially not multi-mode controls when they're to be operated by a mouse.

This.... is a great video.
We need more Erica Synths modules on VCV!
First 40 seconds is a running gag. I new I subscribed for a good reason.
Also great content or whatever
Damn you had me at "This!" haha great demo yo 😂🙌⚡
Thanks Greg, good job per usual. Fun module, and "funner" with the Bernoulli gate. Hope that you're well my friend!

I think they are releasing more modules now that VCV Rack is in 1.0. I agree, it will be great to see and play with.
I was not expecting to see a McLaren Senna in this video!
THIS is an awesome car. :-)
Thanks for this video! :) Is it possible to change the sounds, as you can do with the physical module?
ya

@@modularcuriosity gotcha, thanks for clarifying!
ahahahha thank you

The car bit is hilarious.
Is it just me or something weird happens with the video starting from 22:22?
Anyway, that was a really nice introduction to the module, thank you!
Yes, somebody else noticed that as well. I have to fix it and re-upload it tonight.
imaging wanting to watch a drum module demo, and instead you have to sit through some bullshit comedy bit...
