Can you only use the CV modulation for drum1 or can you change it to drum2?

That's a pretty complex set of modes and menus to squeeze this thing into 3HP! Since you're a happy long-term user, how feasible is it to do something like stepped CV giving you basic open and closed Hihats along with kick and snare? (In other words using that CV-to-select-sample mode you demonstrated...?) I'm bidding on one of these on eBay right now and trying to decide if it's worth it. 😀

The main thing I did was to put a random CV into the input to change the decay of the hi hat which made for really cool percussive patterns. You probably could do the steppes CV approach but I’ll admit I never quite tried something like that. Decay time was my go to mode for the CV input and sometime pitch. Certainly doable though. I know others who have used it like this but I just haven’t.

This is totally possible. Essentially all that is required is a sequencer to send to the CV input and e.g. 16th note triggers into DRUM 1. An attenuator/attenuvertor would make it more playable, and you may need to load your own samples in an order that makes sense to you if you wanted a greater degree of control over the sample selection. There are more straightforward ways to program drums, but the concept is entirely achievable. I love this module!
