Another great video! Stock plugin breakdowns were massively appreciated! Fingers crossed that one day i get to be in the room with you while you work. Crazy talent
Hello, fellow drummer here 🫶 I really enjoyed the video and I think it's a must watch for EVERYONE, but I wanna add one simple advice to make your acoustic drums a bit more real and vivid - play with panning! You can choose audience's perspective, or drummer's perspective. For example, choosing drummer's perspective, pan your hats to the left, or ride cymbal more to the right, because that's how they are usually placed in most drum kits 😊
Panning is very important for recreating a 3d environment, so it plays nice on a nice studio sound system or headphones. But if you're making music that is meant to be played in clubs panning can actually be bad. For example, if you have an instrument or a percution that is panned to the left, the people staying near the right speaker will not hear it, or hear less of it. Depending on the importance of said instrument in the song, it can alter or even ruin the experience. Btw, i'm a very noobish bedroom producer, but i'm constantly watching tutorials from multiple people. A very cool british dude opened my eyes to this problem and i found it to be very interesting and frustrating at the same time. So always be mindful as to the destination or the audience of your track. Also, thanks for another nice tutorial, learned a few cool things!
Ti ringrazio tantissimo perché so che stai elargendo gratis delle nozioni da pro. Ok che poi bisogna saper utilizzare bene questi strumenti ma, anche se poche, queste nozioni sono davvero utili per portarti ad un livello pro. Grazie mille ❤
Dude I’ve an idea for a future video. I’d like to know what’s your process when you work with an artist in studio to make a song. Where your start, do you mix elements during the creative process or do you wait the end of the arrangement, etc etc. It can be very very passionate to know how you work 🫶
For my fl studio brothers the easiest way to make your kick harder and punchier is to first add the waveshaper and moving the circle up and than ading eq and using the kick model that is stock shape in eq2 (its basically boosting some lows and highs and decreasing some middle parts) and you have the punchier and better kick. And if you want to make that distortion effect of hihats when they play at the same time with kick put both hihat and kick in the same bus and lower the volume of hihat little bit
Like this if you have no clue of what I said in Italian
La nonna sta bene?
Sta bene sta bene 😂😂

100%! Cool thing about addictive drums is that it already pans stuff so I think in these drums there might have been some panning already 😁

Definitely very interesting, I gotta find the right match to do this kind of video though! I’ll think about it, thanks a lot 😎

You can definitely apply these concepts to any daw! Thanks for this!

I don't understand why bother with all this when you just need to boost your drums to +10dB
Hahaha exactly 😂
It's easy to get drums that knock, just pay for the vst 😂
That’s why I’m showing you how to get the same with the stock plugins 😎

This takes too long. Buy Slap. Use it for everything. Done.
