Adorable turtle! Just so you know, turtles have beaks, not lips. The pattern on their back is individual scutes, which are keratin. Generally, they have a regular symmetrical pattern if they are healthy. :)

That turned out beautifully!! 🐢 I believe the mouth is actually a beak? They have no teeth, so that acts as their teeth? I love how you added colors to other colors to get such realistic effects!! 🌊

I would love to give this a try. I know I can mix my own browns, but I am in the market for some earthtones. Aside from yellow ochre, burnt sienna, and indigo, what other colors did you use in the shell? I use mostly Winsor and Newton professional. If you could name the colors you used as they are represented in that range, I would really appreciate it.
