  • Here is the newest from AceBeam with their L17 compact mega thrower flashlight kit. This is the worlds longest ultra-long range for its form factor. This is a very nice flashlight kit. This is sporting a OSRAM LED. The throw is very intense but not much spill. The performance of this flashlight is very impressive for its size. If you have a large property and are need pin point throwing then this light is you best bet because its easy to carry and light weight. Some dedicated throwers can be bulky. Style and design are very nice including build quality as well. This kit comes with everything you need in the box to get started outside the box. See link below if you are interested in this kit:

I like how this doesn't have hardly any spill. And as you know, the design of this light does that on purpose. The spill is technically wasted light on a thrower, but the tech this torch uses gathers as much light as it can and concentrates it.
This light and flood headlamp would go great together.

I just ordered one of these and the L19. Can't wait to see them in person. I got the L16 but I'm sending it back. The tail switch didn't work and I didn't like the multiple rings around the beam disbursement perimeter. The L16 has amazing throw, but I'm hoping this is more to my liking. I'm quickly becoming a huge fan of throwers, they are so fun. Although, nothing brings a smile to my face like the DX80 I just got. I'm really loving that beast.

I just looked up Dx80 thinking it would sized between the s2r2 and L17 and stunned when I saw it lmao 😅 my daily rn is an s2r2. I use it predominantly at work, attaching it to machines like the band saw for some added light. The spill is perfect for that. But I need me a thrower. I'm very seriously considering the L17. Just gettin into this review so we'll see. 50 bucks on Amazon today

    • @Isaiiahii

@@redacted547 The L17 is a great thrower for its size. The down sides to it are that it only has a tail switch, and you have to remove the battery to charge it. If neither of those are an issue for you, then you probably aren't going to find a better thrower for $50.

Hello again Mr. BridgTec. I've been looking at compact throwers of late and was wondering if the L17 is the current King of that category? I recently purchased a Noctigon KR1 equipped with the W2 Osram CSLPM1TG emitter. I'm very impressed with it's performance and build quality. The Anduril UI is a plus as well. Is the L17 worth the 25 more dollars or do you recommend something else? Thanks and love your reviews, BTW.

Your mic went terribly low on this review, and then (speaker warning) welcome back!!!!~~~ ... I also missed the meter distances on each shot which I am used to for information purposes; you usually label them on screen as well? The night shots seemed a bit short, perhaps rushed this time so the content suffered to B- this time. Usually your reviews are a solid A- (would be A to A+ but the wilderness jokes were only funny the first couple of times to me; and I am sorry to be an unfunny stick in the mud about it, and I don't wanna burst your tag line (inside joke?) that has helped make you semi-famous (or infamous) in the flashlight world depending who you ask about it haha; sometimes I think it gets kind of corny but to each his own, I still like your channel and the content you provide. I also voted for you in the banggood top social media influencer contest, haha. I'm also a big fan of Acebeam as well.
In response to the L17, I like it as a pure pocket thrower. Personally I love the T27 the best when talking about size & throw trade-off (I even modded three of 'em with different tint & CRI LEDs. The glue was hard to remove and can 50/50 chance destroy the tube if you are not extremely careful and lucky, I lost 2 out of 4 tubes but have swap head ability now). Anyhow this is still a awesome rocket for the price, size, and portability. The W10 was nice but heard it was discontinued. Heard there will bea W40 so we'll see. I admit, I am a bit jealous of all the free flashlights you get (haha), and I've been subscribed still for like 3+ years at least... Have a good one Charles!

Depends what your use of the light is for. I don’t have the W30 but from the video reviews I’ve seen... no thanks it’s not a practical use light.
Translation: there’s little to 0 convergence in the hotspot.
The L17 has a larger hotspot ie more convergence and will... from the naked eye, “spotlight” and COVER more of the picture.
If you don’t have glass or optics on a rifle to snipe a target 1/2 mile away you ain’t lighting a large enough spot at NEAR or NAKED EYE DISTANCE to ID for area spotlighting.
The L17 is at the upper limits of what your naked eye (20/20) can see before losing ID recognition at farther distances.
