As an American, I must say, it does indeed slap. The lady that works at my local Asian mart is Korean so she makes her own kimchi and sells it. I prefer really sour kimchi, so I leave it in the fridge for a few weeks and it tastes so good when you put it in rice.
Homemade kimchi style is the bessstt, the ones made in small batches or made in the jar is the BEST my favorite brands right now are Nasoya Vegan Kimchi and Seoul Kimchi(it's sold on Amazon too) it's got that sweet-spicy thing they were talking about in the video. My least favorite is Cosmos Kimchi, it didn't even taste fermented.
I love Moon Seyoon he's a really good person you can tell by how humble he is all the time. I love watching him do chores and cooking I watch this show for him my Korean is not that great sometimes I need to read the subtitles but this show is great
It’s so satisfying watching them stuff their mouths like chipmunks. For some reason it really satisfies me when the hosts are talking with cheeks stuffed like chipmunks.

I'm from the Caribbean so sometimes it's kind of difficult to find some of the products but a mutual from Twitter (also from my country) told me of a Korean women who lives here and she prepares it and also has distribute her Kimchi to some local supermarkets and I'm so excited. Like, just like 2 hours ago I was watching a food program from PBS and suddenly the guys from the show went to a restaurant in America and tasted Kimchi fry rice which I'm dying to eat..... Is this some kind of sign hahaahahah (I'm sorry for any mispelling I speak Spanish) ❤

It's going to be expensive, though, because of the customs and what not. Nothing beats homemade kimchi. No worries about your English, I totally understand. After watching Moon's Kimjang, I copied his kimchi fermented with pork belly. I waited for 3 weeks (for my kimchi to ferment perfectly) just to try the kimchi stew with the fermented meat. For those who are curious (what's the taste of it like), took a bite of the uncooked kimchi first - I love the surpirizing fruity sourness. Plus it's more savory. For its kimchi stew, yes the meat was very tender, even the fat was almost melting in the stew. The texture of meat was almost alike to corned pork. I can compare the meat's taste to mild chorizo. It was a lovely experience! I'll try the octopus/squid infusion next time.
I'm not really into spicy food but when it comes to kimchi and ramyun I will definitely eat it. Kimchi goes well in every food in my opinion 😂😍. KIMCHI is life

My town used to only have weird kimchi that tastes like mexican salsa, so I never bought it, but then a supermarket hired a few korean students and started selling real kimchi. I was so happy! they even sell about 5 different korean brands of kimchi now.
