The Chanel Reissue Flap bag is one of the most classic designer and luxury bags around the world! You guys know i love Chanel as a brand a lot, even with the recent Chanel price increases i still think the brand has and does create stunning designer handbags and thats why I’m really excited to share with you my review of my Chanel Reissue. In this Chanel review i go through the pros and cons plus what fits in the bag and how it has worn over the last 6 months. My Reissue is the size small, or classic 255 size. The Chanel 255 was created and designed by Coco Chanel herself and later reissued to the market by Karl Lagerfeld. Enjoy the video :)

Reissue is my favourite type of Chanel. Love that it is a little more understated & no real obvious CC's. Gorgeous.
What I love about that Chanel Reissue is that it does not have a visible logo, despite being a real luxury item. I want to wear it crossbody (which is very un-ladylike) with my chunky woolen coat, second hand wool jumpers and scuffed ballet flats. The contrast between the understated luxury of the bag and my grunge-y style makes my mouth water
eizhowa yesssss I couldn't agree more. I have been wanting the flap bag for YEARS now, but have been put off by the logo. But this is actually perfect for someone like me who loves Chanel but hates the flashy look. Now this is on my list😋
Lets be honest ladies, everybody knows this is chanel bag, even those not into fashion. Its written chanel there also. Who never care even no care Cc mean coco, who care can read easily chanel written clearly on the bag. Those comments are just funny, we buy it because its Chanel but why we cant just admit it.
huyen anh pizzabella I hear what you’re saying but I don’t agree with you.. The reissue bag is not recognizable by the majority of people. ! The truth is that only those who follow Chanel &fashion knows the bag. The answer to that is simple: the style is surely recognized BUT too many brands (cheap or expensive) copying it in our days! Also you have to understand that most people out there don’t bother with such things. On the contrary, a classic Chanel with the CC logo or a monogram Louis Vuitton par example are indeed recognizable by almost everyone because these bags are SO worn ! (I do have a speedy monogram but I don’t mind at all).
My boyfriend bought me my first Chanel bag today - it’s a 255 and I’ve never been more ecstatic to wear a purse. Originally I wanted the medium classic flap or the black Chevron but when the SA showed me the 255 in prestige condition, I had to drop everything and say yes 🙌🏼 it feels like wearing an iconic peice of fashion history that Coco actually wore. You can dress it up and you can dress it down

I've been thinking about a major Chanel purchase for the entire year. I was only interested in the Iconic line (Small/Med. Classic Flap) but your use of the Reissue actually had me trying on the Reissue Small. I'm tall, almost 5'9, and the Reissue was the only larger size bag I could wear crossbody! I'm kind of mad that you now have me thinking about the Reissue - you are throwing a wrench in my plan ;) Great review !!!
I love how *hidupsbag* bags are designed to be beautiful and functional. With their bags, you don't have to sacrifice style for practicality.
Hi Eva I was not that fussed about the reissue but it has grown on me and I like the fact it's understated with no obvious large logo., in some situations I can see it being a big advantage that only handbag lovers will recognise it. I think I might be a bit odd in that I prefer single flap bags to the double ones , do you know if they ever made a reissue like that ? Another great video really enjoying your vlogmass x
The Reissue is pointed at the top because it's wider than the classic flaps. So the flap has to "reach" over more depth to close causing the pointedness.
I love mine!! I have the 227 size in black with ruthenium hardware.

I laughed out loud at you saying "I like the idea of being a classy lady" 😂. I don't think I will ever get a classic flap, but that reissue has been growing on me for the past year or so. I already got a bag this year with my diorama, so it will be a long time before I can afford my next one. And I'm so glad you get all excited when you look at it!
Absolutely love this review! I'm thinking of getting a reissue (unsure if I like the small or medium more) as my first Chanel bag for my 25th birthday in March & so I've been doing extensive researching on it & sadly there's hardly any reviews on RUclips! This was very informative & helpful! I can tell that you really love the bag & that makes me definitely all the more interested in it.
Anyway, I will definitely be checking out more of your channel because it seems very lovely & awesome!
It comes to the point at the top (and bottom) because it’s supposed to be a fully collapsible bag for ease of traveling-if you wanted to pack it in a suitcase for example, it flattens out completely. I have the largest size and love the additional space, although I have never folded mine down either. 😄

Hi Eva, I just wanted to thank you for your great video regarding the Chanel 255. It helped me to make the decision to get the reissue instead of the classic flap. I always wanted a Chanel bag, classy but understated, can be worn on shoulder for a more formal, ladylike looking and as crossbody for quick grab-n-go.
I did go to the SF boutique to try both on. Guess what? I got my first Chanel bag on the New Year's Eve and I think she is such a good start for another beautiful year. I am sure I will enjoy wearing it and want to thank you again for your very informational and helpful videos. They are always fun to watch.

I just recently bought a 227 with gold hardware and it is an amazing bag to use for work (and weekends!) since it fits a ton! No crossbody option though as the bag is a bit too big :) Love love love it!
I like ur videos and vlog,especially the once in which u reacted to Chanel price increases! I got my Jumbo last month since I prefer the structured look of the classic flap more than reissue , I wished to have once a medium flap in lambskin but honestly speaking I don't think I will ever do it with this insane price.

Hi Eva! Thank you for your video!!! I am the proud owner of the exact same bag, and I love it soooooo much. For me it's the same, the more I use it and the more I fall head over heels about it. I agree with all your pros and cons, although the cons don't bother me one bit :) I actually love everything about it, I like the pointy top part and the size is just perfect for me, and the small size looks better crossbody than the medium.
I still have my classic lambskin jumbo that it looks very luxurious, but the reissue has my heart and if I could only have one bag, that would be the reissue ;) Xxx

I think the reissue is so beautiful, and I hope it will be my next bag. I own the jumbo and I just got the rectangular mini, and so I believe the size 226 will be a good in between size. The Chanel prices have become quite high though, and the reissue in size 226 is currently the exact same price as the jumbo. That was what I was told in Paris though, I wonder how much it is in London. Anyways I'm on a bag ban right now, we'll see in a few months or maybe next year :) Thank you for making this great review Eva, I really enjoyed watching it. Your reissue is gorgeous! xx

Great video. They are nice bags but never really loved them and the price that they are now puts me off too. My second hand WOC looks amazing still outside and it must be 10 years old. Ohhh I found two websites that offer niche perfume samples like Byredo, Roja, Les Exclusifs, One is called scent samples the other ill have to let you know.

Hi Eva, I am seriously considering purchasing this bag in the size 226. Are you still loving this bag? Does it wear well? And if you have sold it already, do you have any regrets? Sometimes I sell a bag and which I had it back and eventually end up purchasing again.
I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. The other one is a $40 one HIDUPZ Backpack Replica - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference and still use it for the gym

+sandy hsyu I think it's not really about height and more about how much you carry with you and what you need. This bag really only fits the bare essentials so that's something to bare in mind :)
Get the classic flap one this one reselling price is not as good at the classic flap

Eva, how's your reissue distressed calfskin leather working out in terms of durability? Can you take it out in the rain or does it get stained with water? Also, do you think it's wider at the base than the Chanel M/L classic? Is the leather as durable as the caviar leather and can you completely flatten it for traveling purposes?

I don't think you should be so hard on yourself. Just recently I was watching a daytime talk show and this woman and her cousin inherited her grandmother's bag closet. She said her grandmother had four bag closets. One for each season and they were all replica bags purchased from LYXBAG .
You know it's CHANEL because of the diamond quilting. Also, I don't like the new "CC" Chanel bag because it may represent Chanel and Capel. Chanel was never married, not sure I want to wear "Capel" around. Lol
