- DE: Der Kandidat für unseren aktuellen Supertest ist der 416 PS starke Lotus Exige Sport 410. Ist er tatsächlich so schnell, wie er aussieht? Hier die schnelle Runde am Lausitzring.
Fahrer: Guido Naumann
Reifen: Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2. Zum Testzeitpunkt waren die Reifen leider schon relativ abgefahren. Mit einem neuen Satz Reifen wäre mehr möglich gewesen.

Tires: Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2. Unfortunately, at the time of the test, the tires were already relatively worn. A better lap time would have been possible with a new set of tires.

How can an Exige which is 200kg lighter has 30hp more with wider cup tyres and a lower centre can of gravity with 3 way Norton race dampers be slower than a Cayman 4.0 GTS ?

V6 with a supercharger on top vs flat 6. Porsche keeps weight lower. Lotus also set up to understeer too much from factory

not impressed. Poor gear selection, execution and not using all the revs. Looks like it was deliberately driven well below par! ( I own a 410)
Habe den Test in dem aktuellen Heft gelesen. Da wäre mehr drinn gewesen was die Rundenzeit angeht wenn die Reifen nicht so abgefahren wären bei dem Testwagen🤨

Die Exige sind ziemlich langsam, aber einfach geil zu fahren.Ich liebe sie.
3.9 auf 100 manuell würd ich jetzt nicht als langsam bezeichnen...
Es sind sogar 3,4 sec - ist ja das 410er Modell! 290 Top Speed - Ansonsten fährt der Testfahrer nicht Besonders - Scheitelpunkt zu hart angefahren, statt das Auto max über die curbs in den Innenkurven zu prügeln, das Fahrzeug gleichmäßiger um die Kurve zu fahren und dabei weiter nach außen auslaufen lassen- bringt auf der Gerade mehr Topspeed. Wenn der Fahrer dann noch Schalten könnte wäre alles ok! Na ja und bremsen sollte er nicht so früh - Geigling 🤣

1.1 kg nice, the price is some hight. Haha manual gearbox holy shit. Need the price of this car is 80 000 euro.
Emotion and driver involvement are the keywords here. Still a base Cayman GTS 4.0 Manual is almost 30.000€ cheaper. Way better for daily driving and more reliable.
I don't know for being more reliable cause Toyota's engines are stronger and more reliable than Porsche's, for daily driving sure but the Lotus will cost you less on Insurance and maintenance that's sure

Porsche is the most unreliable brand I ever experienced - the multitude of partially savety-relevant failures especially with my 997 GT3 MK2 und my 981 GT4 in conjunction with the malicious and reckless attitude of various Porsche dealerships and the obnoxious so-called "Porsche assistance" made me turn my back on Porsche for good a few years ago.
Today I enjoy my second Lotus Exige that by the way is maintained for track use by KomoTec in Mendig - the Toyota drivetrain is much more reliable than any Porsche I ever had, the Exige just works, so far never failed and especially never frightend me.
Apart from that, my Lotus is much more fun to drive and even much more fun just to sit in than any other car I ever had.
