It got me worried even back when the game was first starting. Started picking up some PSA graded cards later on to be sure. Even then I remember seeing fake pokemon slabs as so had to sadly even check then. Great video stay safe out there everybody
Yeah there's always a lot of ppl out there that know how to produce proxies and it isn't cool at all. They mainly use them to add it to their collection to make it seem like they have the card, or use them to scam which is messed up. Def better to just buy the cards already graded so you don't have to worry and grade them yourself too. Thanks a lot and yes stay safe out there everyone 👍
I swear the worst stage of any TCG is when it becomes an investment property. Super sucks that OP did from set 1 but when cards are going for 1K+ ungraded, suppose it's unavoidable. Glad you're taking it as a lesson to teach others and hey content is content.

Oh no you bought a fake one?! Where did you buy it? Yeah the back of the card is one of the main signs that it is a fake when you compare it to a normal One Piece card. I hope you can get your money back!

The EASIEST way to tell, is the “BANDAI” type on the bottom right corner. The space between the D and the A is very wide. Compare it to an official card and it stands out like a sore thumb.
Notice the "Bandai Made in Japan" line, the proxy card added a space between Band and ai probably to avoid legal problems Maybe that's one of the ways to see if it's a proxy card

I was trying to find a shanks deck box on ali express and these popped up everywhere. Bandai is gonna have to add a security foil in the corner like Yugioh does.
