Hugo's voice does register as a Baritone, and outmatches many of today's established singers.
I thought he was saying:" I know, I was outta tune there, but I can do much better than that, wait...."
I love it when he keeps silent when he realises the note is too high for him , then rejoins at lower notes. What a beautiful dog...

Maybe your brass section could have taken a lesson 'from this puppy dog. It is really a difficult skill to learn. When the soprano waited 3 beats to come in so did the dog. Very talented.

I've had a few dogs that like to sing along with music, one, a great Dane liked Maria Callas recordings, later I had a German Shepard who loved singing along with Luciano Pavarotti.
Your dogs chose the best singers of opera. You raised them well.
Pav remains a favorite with members of the Canine persuasion.
He's trying to hit the tune. In the 1950s "Don Carli's Singing Dogs" were internationally famous. He would have been an asset to this legendary ensemble.

This line always stayed with me, I remember I started crying speechless the first time I heard live opera, I was astounded.
Also true, is that fans may prefer different operas, for their own individual reasons, and deriving pleasure from visual and aural aspects.

Omg, I love this! I have a 4 year old (female) chihuahua myself, whose name is “Aria”, conveniently enough. She certainly suits her name, as she not only relaxes to all sorts of music, but she also tends to “sing” whenever she hears other dogs “singing”! LOL.
