I am 45 years old.. I read this book when I was 19 years old.. THIS IS TIL THIS DAY STILL MY FAVORITE BOOK OF ALL TIME! FACT!! It taught me not just how to think the right way at an early age but it also taught me how to teach my son who is 10 years old as well how to think the right way.. My book looks just like yours except entirely underlined to death and yellowed over the 20 plus years I have had it.. I can't say enough about this book.. Anyone starting it.. Yeh, the first 40 to 50 pages are slow and seems like nothing special is here.. It all changes after that.. And then you realize that it makes sense and why the beginning of the book is really needed as well to set the pace.. Definitely read this book..
This is awesome, he's actually going to speak at an online conference in attending tommorow Saturday. You did a really great job edifying him. Looking forward to listening him talk !
I had to look up his name. But the book title has been imprinted in my mind. I always get it out when I feel like I can't control my thoughts. It always gives such clarity.
Amazing book with many ah-ah moments, I totally agree this should be the FIRST book to read before moving to others (IF you even need other books after this one)
Before coming across your review, I've read about 25% of the Kindle edition of the book, seeing as it was greatly appreciated by many Amazon user reviews (just at the beginning of - five steps that control our success or failure). Trouble is, so far I cannot relate to it. So far, it emphasizes so much on the negative things, the don'ts that people have fed into you. But looking back at my life, I cannot recollect anyone having ever told me what I can or should do or don't/can't do. I do recall my parents NOT being appreciative enough of what I achieved while a student, but they never, ever stopped or discouraged me from doing anything, whether it was studies, music or sports. My teachers by and large fell into two groups - those who were very impressed of me and those who were indifferent to me. But even in my teachers, I cannot remember anyone telling me there was something I cannot do. On a work/professional level, I know there are some parts of me where I'm brilliant and some parts where I'm below average. In my job, the senior partner of our firm (I'm a lawyer) gave me almost a free hand at work. Yet today, I'm a wreck, at 40 years of age, going through a divorce in a marriage that lasted all of 2 months, lost my job of 7 years at the firm and devastated by anxiety and depression. Where the hell I got all fucked up, I do not understand. Going through 25% of this book, when I ask myself the question, who told me I could or couldn't do something, I can't find an answer. I don't know if this book is for me. Like I said, so far, I'm unable to relate to many of the things said in the book.
You need to heal your inner child, I recommend you Mercedes Guzman (look for her in Google), she is an expert on it, it really helps, there are many things that are in our mind that we don't remember or we don't want to remember because it hurts but we should. God bless you, I hope you find yourself.
When you said "debating about a wedding or going to his course" for a second I thought you meant you were debating whether you should go to your own wedding or not haha. Then it clicked that it's probably one of your mates' 😂
my name is Megan I take plexus supplement products and I've been helping you for years now I don't do processed food I don't do canned food and I'm a very healthy person but I'm also a very what if kind of person. when I was younger I had gastritis because I ate so bad and it was the worst now everything I eat I analyze it so much because I don't want to have diarrhea I don't want to have stomach issues like I did back then then I get into my own head and it kind of makes it worse if that makes any sense. I'm going to get this book and I really hope it helps me to stop being a what if kind of person

Yes it's great. Are you still using it? Are you writing your "script" or have you recorded it? And how often do you use it?
