    Hey JP, just did the same to my small IVS. I had to use the factory lug nuts to attach the spacers and buy acorn nuts for the same look. Thanks for the info.

    I did the same to mine a few weeks ago worth every penny! Great job! One thing i did notice is you used the factory lug nuts to attach the wheel spacers to the hub and the wheel spacers acorn nuts to reattach your wheels ide switch that back around its a cleaner look...not a huge deal glad you liked the mod!

    Great job. Will check out these spacers for my offset. Once I get my IVS - it will be pretty much stationary so I didn’t go with the off-road package on it.

    Interesting idea. I love my large IVS. Very glad I ordered the competition cart/ off road tires. That said I was a bit disappointed on how difficult it can still be when going over dirt and gravel,heck even black top when by oneself. But heck at approximately 1,200 lb , well, she's a big girl who really doesn't like to be pushed around much. Yes she is VERY efficient with her fuel. I believe you're in Florida if I remember right so perhaps not as important for you but I live in Washington state and I'm SOOO looking forward to using it up here in the winter when it gets cold. Cold or hot she just keeps purring along with all that insulation with no air leaks. Lastly damm does this smoker have capacity. Anyway looking forward to the holiday season. Turkeys, Prime rib, Briskets, pulled pork, pork ribs. Oh yea, good times, good times. 😁👍🔥🎃🎄☃️

      Thank you Victor. I appreciate that very much. Don’t forget to shop at www.jp-bbq.com for all your seasonings. The Sexy Chicken is a favorite on Turkey. The JPAP and the JP-Steak are real good on beef.Thanks again.

    I want this cooker for sure... though I need to put a roof on the house first so it'll have to wait until next year most likely. I'm just a tad paralyzed with the options.
    I mainly can't decide if I want no cart / 8" casters / shelf, cart with 8" casters, or cart with off-road. I doubt I'd be moving it much, but if I ever wanted to move it across the gravel driveway I guess the off-road package would be handy, and I do kind of like the height the pneumatic tires seem to add to it, but that's quite a chunk of change as well.

      Absolutely take care of the roof first. the off-road wheel do help a lot. Thanks again.

    Nice mod JP. Watching the video reminded me that you now have 2 air intake ball valves. Could you mention the pros and cons of the 2nd ball valve on you next video that you shoot when cooking on the large IVS?

    Hi JP Good Job...that extra space looks really nice. Are you be able to use the original cosmetic lug nuts on the spacer studs? Just thinking it might give a cleaner wheel presentation than the standard nuts they provided. Thank you for sharing.

      The threads where slightly different. I felt like it was going on just felt a little resistance and did not want to strip the threads. So I used the ones that came with it. I’m thinking I may go to the auto store and see if I can find some dress ups lugs for it. Thanks again for watching and commenting.

    I have that exact same setup. When I ordered mine I asked Chris if they could make the wheel base wider so it would be more stable but he said no. That’s was disappointing for the amount of money they charge for one of these smokers. I love the smoker but it is too narrow and unstable over rough terrain so it’s not quite the off-road as the name implies.

    • @JPBBQ
      @JPBBQ  2 года назад +1

      Sorry to hear that. It is a heavy smoker 1200 lbs if I’m correct. I would not take it off roading, but rolls great over grass and gravel. Sorry they could not increase the wheel base fo you. I’m sure Chris had good reasons for that. Appreciate you watching and commenting.

    Now you gonna be flinging some serious mud. Just add some overhead fog lights and a gun rack and you're set. 👍

    What are your thoughts on going with the 64mm (or 2.5 inch) spacers? Would it work as well you think? Thanks!

  • @SNeal5966

    I think that's a smart move for safety if you move it a lot....this thing is like 900 lbs or so right? I'd hate to see a turn or dip cause it to tip over. That thing is such a beautiful tank though probably wouldn't even hurt it! I don't know how you'd pick it baack up though lol. LonestarGrillz makes awesome stuff. I someday would love to try their new pellet grill they have come out with. I would want their offset too but I ended up building my own since that ws the best I could afford! Mine is all 1/4" steel too, 24" x 48" 2 grates.

    Hey JP, if I heard right in one of your videos, you mentioned that you’re in central Florida. I’m in west central Florida. I had an LSG 20x42 pellet which I just sold, and currently have an LSG 24x40 Texas offset. Now I’m looking to get the large IVS - same configuration as yours. Is there any way I can stop by and take a look at it? Thanks.

    How long are the studs Amazon has some with 1.25inch or .5 inch studs

  • @Chris-wp3ew

    Offset looks good. Couldn't you have used the lug nuts with caps on the outside? More of a finished look.

    Do you think they would work just as good on your other LSG smoker if it had the off road package ?

    • @JPBBQ
      @JPBBQ  2 года назад +1

      They might, just want to make sure they are the right bolt pattern.

    Did you experience any heat issues coming off the door gasket on to the tire?
    Thanks

    • @JPBBQ
      @JPBBQ  Год назад

      No. The door to the charcoal area does get hot to the touch though. But to the tires I think there is enough clearance that the heat does not affect it. Thanks for watching.

    I don't understand why, could it not maneuver like that with the LSG wheel kit?

    • @JPBBQ
      @JPBBQ  2 года назад +2

      It can. With the extra length on the wheels it does increase the radius of the turn. But besides that, it was an add on that was more for esthetics. Appreciate you watching.
