Can’t remember if I said this before but a lot of people use panty hose for stuffing in crafting projects. The little blue wallet that you liked can be repaired by a shoe repair shop. Finally I do a lot of work with the homeless and socks are always needed. Can you check with one of your shelters to see if you can donate them? If not PLEASE contact Me and I will pay shipping to get them for my people 😎

Apparently this woman never cleaned out her clothing drawers. Oh, my......I purged a long time ago. Funny you should mention "dogs and cats" watching. One of my felines comes over to me when she hears the birds chirping....LOL.

Headscarves, ears in or out 🤔 My advice is never listen to the fashion police! Wear what you want the way you like it! I’d much rather dress my way than try to dress like everyone else 😉. Those narrow scarves were popular in early 70’s. They were worn as headbands, belts, scarves tied or left open as decoration with fringes dangling LOL 😝
Perhaps, on the blue wallet, that you said, the snap was broken, you can stick on some velcro. This would make it close. That was a beauitful, singing bird!!! Those panty hose bring back memories.lol. I was a teenage mom. I used to make my little girl dolls and bears and a potato game out of panty hose. The potato game was potatoes made out of tan pantyhose with faces made by just sewing and we would line them up and throw a ball at them to see who could knock the most down. But then she loved her potato people and when she went to bed she had all her pantyhose people with her in bed. It was always great to find a colored pair so I could make something for her that had color. We may not have had much money back then but we had lots of love and imagination. I dont feel like my oldest daughter missed out because she didn't have all the fancy toys my younger children had because she had me and our imagination and lots and lots of handmade dolls and toys and games.

Saddle soap does amazing things for dirty cracked leather. And vivarin used to be used like no doz.
My maternal grandmother was a professional seamstress and she saved pantyhose/nylons and used them to stuff throw pillows , tie up plants , and cover the washing machine hose that drained into the washing tub to catch debris so as to keep it from clogging up the drain .
Back in 1978 at Katherine Gibbs School they advised us to always have an extra pair of pantyhose in your purse just in case you got a run in the ones you were wearing🤔
Makes sense! I would carry around a small bottle of clear nail polish when I would wear nylons, in case I ever had a rip.

Hey Pam I think you should wash those stockings. Take them to the flea , people use them for all sorts of stuff in the garden as a lint trap for washing Machines, stuffing for pillows ,and a bunch of crafts. I know I have bought from flea market in the past. It’s worth a shot!
My grandmother always used her old hose to stuff things she made.
My husband used to paint houses and he always needed stockings to strain paint.

Trash bag day! Saw all those hose/pantyhose of multiple colors. Had to giggle, wore many of them in the 60s and 70s. I remember mom always told me to save them. I'm 62.

Vintage underwear who would've thought! I use old pantyhose to tie up tomato plants, of course it's my old pantyhose..lol. I wonder if there is a market for that stuff? People are strange!
Back in the 70s that what we use to wear around our heads ties and dress belts the cloth ones .
Always wore scarfs over the top part of my ears. Those were some fantastic finds. The underwear was very interesting. I liked them. Another fun one!

As a child in the 50's I remember my Mom making mats out of old nylons. She would braid them then they were stitched into various sizes. :)

Those sashes went with one piece jump suits or leisure suits or a matching top and bell bottoms. Imagine being dressed head to toe in all powder blue.The sash could be worn at the neck and left to hang, or tied at the waist.
I wish every day was look in the trash bag day!! At least one of those purses you took out at the beginning is a good leather bag. Get some cleaner and or leather conditioner and it will look like new. They last forever! Wonder what brand it was.

Speaking of used underwear, back in 90 or 91, Bill and Hillary Clinton donated underwear to the Goodwill and took a tax deduction for it. Can't remember if that was revealed when he was the candidate or during his first year in office, but I've not forgotten that they did that🤣🤣🤣

You couldn't get away with claiming$10 now, IRS requires an appraiser like myself to do a fair market value Appraisal if donation value exceeds $500 total. Fair market value for underwear is about $1/EA (although Clinton's might be worth more for its notorious nature)
@@TheAntiqueNomad No, I know. I was the executor for my parents' estate and it was easier to just donate the estate remainder and not try to claim any tax deduction. My dad's Cadillac alone was worth about $1500 but the IRS is so ridiculous about documenting every little thing so even though I took pictures of everything in preparation for taking the deduction, I ultimately just gave up and didn't claim a thing. But, then again, they didn't prepare their own taxes so it was probably up to the CPA to make it all as legal as possible🙄😄
Actually, Hillary was quite resourceful for disposing of “found” underwear into tax deductions... 😉

Nothing wrong with saving underwear. Lol!! It can be washed and worn. I have found lots of underwear. Some did need to be tossed, most however came clean. I have bought second hand underwear. I love watching you go through mystery bags. I don't think I could handle

If those are leather with no lining you can soak them and wash them with baby shampoo/mild detergent and then stuff them with newspapers to dry. I usually just recondition them after. The second one looks like it may come back. Love your videos!

If those paired socks have good elastic, you may want to wash them an take them to a homeless shelter.

Back in the 60's and 70's, there were self-tie belts, which either matched or complemented a dress and were made of fabric. Some of those long, scarf/headband things could be those. OH--We used them as belts with jeans, too!

It does. After helping my sister clean out our 89 year old mother's stuff last year, it has me downsizing. In fact, I'm working to give away stuff (jewelry, etc.) that has meaning to me so that the story behind it can be passed on. The rest of it, eh.
I bet it does.im at the end of my life and have found a lot of freedom gifting things and having yard sales.i don't want to leave a burden for my family of course I let them have 1st dibs on whatever they like but I think it's a little sad for them.Not me I get joy from sharing my collections. I was kinda regretting unloading all my painting things cuz quarantine but its summer now and I can buy brushes and paint for cheap.i still hunt but only take what I know I can resell and recently found a bag of mens highend clothes and sold them in 2 days on marketplace so it never gets out of your blood. 200 free dollars I love it!! I downsized 5 years ago, going to estate sales made me think "wouldn't want my kids to have to go through my mess ".
So now I'm ready to go through house again and get rid of jewelry, clothes and anything I haven't used since I've been in this house.
You have control over these things if it concerns you. Write down your wishes and make sure you discuss it with family and friends beforehand.
We used to take Viavarin when me my brother and his friends were in out young teens. They are basically speed! I doubt very much the product is still on the market!
It was just caffeine. A buttload of caffeine. Now people just drink Red Bull, Rock Star, all the energy drinks to get a massive dose of caffeine.

I remember women wore scarves over curlers. I guess it was more acceptable than leaving home with just curlers. Everyone used curlers then.
I know quite a few people that still use curlers :0) I can't imagine sleeping with them in though, as I know a few who still do!

Thosei thin scarves can be used as belts. Instead of a belt on a pair of bell bottom jeans, used a jaunty scarf as a belt. colored tights can still be in vogue. vintage undies can sell.
Ok I think I am going to clean out my underwear drawers so my daughter doesn’t get an awkward moments. I never thought about it but watching this bags from a clean out I have really started to think about it.

That lady must have been a Depression baby and learned from her parents never to throw away anything:) I think we all should go through stuff every couple of years and toss out the worn out items...I know it is something my Mom never did and we had huge piles of stuff to go through when she passed. Rene! I was invited to pick through the house of an elderly couple who lived next door and were hoarders. They've been cleaning out the house for five weeks (and have dumped 10 industrial sized dumpsters so far (no telling what they've thrown out!!) and offered to let me pick before they opened it up to the public. I was literally "junk drunk" was I went through the house. Going back tomorrow to finish looking!

No itches haha. From all the bags, I never felt grossed out as for the most part, many of the items were well taken care of. Even the underwear, as gross as it may seem, seemed as if they were all laundered before being put away in a drawer for years and years.

some of those times I got with the friends on them it might have had a skirt or a dress and went with him and they tied him on the side like a belt and sometimes I warm for headbands to match their dresses or their outfits it mainly they were bought with a dress or skirt
Renee, strangely enough there is a huge market on line for used underwear, and stinky rotten sneakers. Why? I have no clue. I know it's mostly men who buy the underwear. For what? I don't know, and don't want to know.
I just helped clean out an apartment of a man who went to jail, and found a bunch of women's underwear. Some still in unopen packages.

I think that shoe is beyond toast! You can probably donate the socks to a homeless shelter or women's shelter.
Women used to save pantyhose to cut into squares. They were then used as filling in quilt squares, for “puff” quilts.
