The one thing I know for a fact is that no mechanic shop will care for your car as you do, so they won't care that is missing one of those bolts, screws or covers after they've done the work. That's the only reason I do stuff myself. They also don't like customers hanging around when they work lol

This video gave me the confidence to replace my own clutch. I can't express enough thanks for putting together such a great how-to. A few years ago, I would have never even thought of attempting something so difficult, but after having completed it, I feel like I learned a ton more about my car. To anyone watching this, taking off the subframe is the easiest fastest method, no need to take the LSD off, or drain any fluids.

Awesome video. Just did this on my CC a few months back and these are the steps I went through, with the exception of having to bench press the transmission up on my back. Cory seems very thorough, I would let him work on my car!! Love FCP.

Great video! I’ve had Mk4-Mk7s, just picked up a 19 GTI manual. Brand new, only got 11k miles in two years and sure enough I feel a new clutch will need to be put on it. It has a very weak clutch and when I have to rev it, I get the burnt poop smell. I drive this thing like an old lady. No mistreatment, AT ALL and still get the burnt clutch smell. I may consider getting a new one but I am still under warranty. 😑
