  • CLUTCH DELAY VALVE REMOVAL In A MK7 VW! Golf | GTI | Golf R. Removing this delay valve completely changed how the car shifts. The biggest issue I noticed was 1 to 2 or 2 to 3 when shifting. That is when the delay was most noticeable. This completely fixed the issue. Combining this with the clutch spring removal and a clutch stop makes the car feel so much better now. This is a MUST DO!

    Hello, what exactly is the little yellow plastic for and have you put the little plastic back?

    • @tylerwillis7986
      @tylerwillis7986 7 месяцев назад +3

      The little yellow plastic part was the CDV (clutch delay valve). Its purpose is to delay the hydraulic fluid in the clutch from returning to the “engaged” side, which results in your shifts being slower. Automakers have used this part in recent years in order to market manual cars to drivers who aren’t very good at manual - it’s supposed to make the car “easier” to drive by bringing the time between gear changes up to the bad driver’s shift timing. Taking this piece out removes the fluid’s flow restriction and will make the car shift in a much more predictable and familiar (to us seasoned manual drivers) manner.

    hello, so im currently having an issue on my 17 gti when releasing the clutch after pushing it in, it sort of sticks. it got to a point where it stayed to the floor and i could pull it out while staying in gear with the clutch out not moving. there is fluid in the resivour, i bled the clutch and it was fine for about 3 hours of driving then slighty stuck again then didnt do it again. its like a rare occasion. would doing this mod possibly help? or could it be my master cylinder thats connected to the pedal itself? stumped here
