    How in the name of all that's holy does anybody give this a thumbs down? This is like gold. There are dozens of channels giving lessons in Chinese but few give detailed information on the subtleties. I only wish that some of these videos were a little longer. Thank you very much.

    If one day I can express myself in Mandarin just 50% as freely as you do in English, I'll be more than happy! Great video! 谢谢你,我的老师!

    Thank you, It is so useful and good for me! I agree with one of the comments, that it could be cool to write kanzi a little bigger.
    I would also be happy to see street walks, and tell about chinese food, and holidays and anything like that, maybe someday)

    但是 = but
    可是 = however
    却 = , however,
    example: "I am going. He, however, is not."
    不过 = but
    How would you translate:
    Yet?
    Still?
    Nevertheless?
    Though?
    Although = 虽然
    Albeit?
    竟然?
    虽然 ... 但是 is "although ... nevertheless"
    I constantly search for parallel structures and cognates in language learning and am a polyglot and recommend that method strongly.

      dào
      to place upside down
      to invert
      to pour
      to throw out
      to move backwards
      however
      actually
      as a matter of fact
      contrary to expectation

    Great lesson BUT please use BIG fonts for Hanzi!
    很好课但是
    如果老师用很大汉子,就学神会比好学了。
    Is this a good example of using le for subjunctive/conditional in Chinese

    • @amekanasai
      @amekanasai 2 года назад +2

      You are translating directly from English. English and Chinese are two very different languages.
      很好课但是 == 这堂课教得很好,可是
      如果老师用很大汉子,就学神会比好学了。== 如果老师汉字能用大一点的字体,学生学起来就容易多了。

    The video is very good and tou chose a great argument, BUT I do believe that the sentences should have been easier (I eat apples, but I don't eat bananas) and the size of the subtitles should have been bigger.

    Chinese is so hard. In particular I find it difficult to find words in the dictionary. It is not simple to recognize the radicals.
